When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 113: Zegion in Action

The Knights Arrive: The Battle Begins

After hours of marching, Hinata Sakaguchi and her knights reached the vast plains just before Tempest. The terrain was unnaturally quiet, but the tension was palpable.

Knight Commander Leonard: "Commander, the area feels… wrong. I don't like this."

Hinata (calmly): "Stay sharp. It's obvious they're waiting for us. Don't let your guard down."

The moment the knights set foot in the field, magic circles hidden in the ground glowed to life, and spells began raining down on them from all directions. Explosions of fire and lightning erupted around them, scattering the formation.

Holy Knight Rina (panicked): "Ambush! They've surrounded us!"

Before the knights could regroup, Shion's army charged forward. Unlike the Holy Knights, Tempest's warriors moved with terrifying precision. Each unit coordinated their strikes, overwhelming the knights with relentless attacks.

Shion (leading the charge): "Let's show these fools what happens when they dare challenge Tempest! Attack with everything you've got!"

Her Black Steel Halberd swung in wide arcs, cutting through shields and knocking knights to the ground with bone-crushing force. Shion's soldiers, imbued with magical enhancements, were nearly unkillable. Swords bounced off their enchanted armor, and even direct strikes didn't seem to faze them.( why Shion, you were not supposed to fight...sigh...)

Knight Commander Fritz: "What… what are these soldiers?! They're not human!"

The Holy Knights fought valiantly, their Holy Arts glowing with sacred energy as they tried to push back the onslaught. But Shion's army was like an unrelenting tide.

Just as the knights began to recover from the initial ambush, Benimaru's army entered the fray from the opposite side.

Benimaru (smirking): "Now it's our turn. Take them down!"

Benimaru's forces attacked with a mix of magic and physical strikes. Fiery explosions erupted in the middle of the knights' formation, and precise sword strikes disarmed or incapacitated those who tried to fight back. The knights, despite their superior training, were quickly overwhelmed by Tempest's superior strategy and overwhelming strength.

Holy Knight Arnaud (to Hinata): "Commander, we need your help! We can't hold them off!"

Hinata vs. Zegion

Hinata was about to jump into the fray when a figure appeared in front of her, blocking her path. It was Zegion, his insect-like exoskeleton gleaming in the sunlight.

Zegion (calmly): "You will not interfere. Your fight is with me."

Hinata's eyes narrowed. She could sense his power—it was immense, possibly even greater than her own.

Hinata: "Very well. If you think you can stop me, I'll show you why I'm the leader of the Great Saints!"

The two clashed in an instant, their movements so fast that even the most skilled knights could barely follow.

Hinata's sword, Dead End Rainbow, glowed with holy energy as she unleashed a flurry of precise strikes aimed at Zegion's vital points. Her mastery of the sword was unparalleled, and her attacks were swift and lethal.

But Zegion was equally formidable. His exoskeleton absorbed her strikes with ease, and his speed allowed him to dodge her most dangerous attacks.

Zegion: "You're strong, but you lack the power to defeat me."

He retaliated with a series of heavy blows, each one sending shockwaves through the ground. Hinata blocked as best as she could, but the sheer force of his attacks pushed her back.

The Battle Rages On

Meanwhile, the knights were struggling against Shion's and Benimaru's armies.

Holy Knight Leonard (frustrated): "Why won't they fall?! Our attacks aren't working!"

Shion (laughing): "You'll have to do better than that! My army is made of warriors who won't lose to mere knights!"

The knights tried to regroup, but Tempest's forces didn't give them the chance. Spells bombarded them from afar, and melee units relentlessly cut through their lines.

Benimaru (to his soldiers): "Focus on breaking their formation. Take out their leaders first!"

The battle was chaotic, with magic and swords clashing everywhere. The knights were brave, but they were outmatched.

Hinata's Last Stand Against Zegion

Back at the duel, Hinata was beginning to falter. She had used several of her most powerful techniques, but Zegion remained unfazed.

Hinata (gritting her teeth): "I'm not done yet!"

She poured all her energy into a final attack, activating her most powerful move: Melt Slash. Her blade glowed with an intense holy light as she unleashed a series of coordinated slashes, each one capable of cutting through even the toughest defenses.

One of her strikes hit Zegion directly, blowing away the entire left side of his body.

Hinata (panting): "It's… over…"

But her relief was short-lived. The "injured" Zegion suddenly vanished, and a cold voice spoke behind her.

Zegion (calmly): "An impressive attack, but it was all an illusion."

Before Hinata could react, Zegion struck her with a precise blow to the back of her neck, knocking her unconscious.

The End of the Knights

With Hinata defeated, the knights' morale crumbled. One by one, they were incapacitated by Tempest's forces. The battlefield grew quiet as the last of the knights fell.

Rimuru's Entrance

As the dust settled, Rimuru made his grand entrance, descending from the sky in his human form. His calm expression and faint smile sent chills down the spines of the defeated knights.

Rimuru: "Ants like you dare attack Tempest? Did you really think you could win?"....

Before he could continue, a circle of light surrounded him and Hinata. The Seven Luminaries appeared, chanting a powerful spell.

Grot: "You're finished, Rimuru. You're an enemy of the Church, and now the world will see you for the monster you are!"

Rimuru (raising an eyebrow): "So you're the ones behind this. You manipulated Hinata and sent her here to die. All so you could pin the blame on me?"

Grot (smirking): "Exactly. With you and Hinata gone, the Church will declare war on Tempest, and Luminous will have no choice but to support us."

The Seven Luminaries activated their spell, a massive Disintegration attack designed to obliterate any monster. A blinding light engulfed Rimuru, and the Luminaries began to celebrate.

Grot: "It's over. Not even you can survive that!"

As the light faded, Rimuru stood unharmed, a faint smile still on his face.

Rimuru: "Is that it? I expected more."

The Luminaries were stunned.

Grot (panicking): "Impossible! How did you survive?!"

In desperation, one of the Luminaries used their control over the Dragon Buster sword, sending it flying toward Rimuru. The blade pierced his chest, and the Luminaries cheered again.

But Rimuru's body vanished, revealing it was only a decoy. The real Rimuru appeared behind them, binding them with his Steel Threads.

Luminous Appears

Rimuru (calmly): "Alright, Luminous. You've been watching, haven't you? It's time to deal with your people."

A massive, ornate door appeared, and Luminous Valentine stepped out, her presence radiating power.

The Luminaries, realizing their doom, began to plead for mercy.

Grot: "Lady Luminous, we did this for you! We wanted to protect the Church!"

Luminous (coldly): "Silence. Your schemes have brought shame to my name and nearly destroyed everything I've worked for. You will pay for this."

With a wave of her hand, she unleashed a devastating spell, obliterating the Luminaries in an instant.

Luminous (to Rimuru): "I apologize for their foolishness, Rimuru. I hope this won't affect our… understanding."

Rimuru (smiling): "We're fine, Luminous. Just keep your people in check next time."

The battle was over, but its consequences would echo throughout the world. Tempest had once again proven its strength, and Rimuru's name would strike fear into the hearts of those who dared oppose him.
