Uchiha Gate: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 104: Who is really Trapped?

"Well, that makes sense!"

Tsunade nodded knowingly, a relieved smile spreading across her face. "Alright, let's go with your plan!"

"Later tonight, we'll secretly gather the frontline leaders of the three clans for another round of discussions. We need to make sure every aspect is confirmed," she added.

"Distribute your antidote pills as well, then we'll just sit tight and wait for Danzo and Hanzo to make their move!"

With Kaito's strategy in play, things had become much simpler.

"Got it!"

Kaito nodded in agreement.

"Oh, by the way!"

Suddenly, Tsunade added, "We also need to consider the Sand and Stone villages!"

"Lately, we've been having conflicts with them—not full-blown battles, but smaller clashes keep happening."

"It's clear they're gearing up to fight us too."

"I'm worried they might catch wind of our movements and adjust their plans accordingly."

"We have to prepare for that possibility."

"We can't afford to kill Danzo, the four clan ninjas, and Hanzo's forces, only to have the Sand and Stone villages swoop in and claim victory like a hunter behind a mantis."

This was a very real possibility.

As the strategist, Kaito had to consider every potential scenario.

"Hmm, you're right!"

Kaito nodded approvingly. "In fact, we can't even ignore Uchiha Madara."

"Granted, the chances of him interfering are slim, but what if?"

No one could predict what choice Madara might make when the time came.

In short, preparing for every possible outcome was the safest bet.

Even if nothing happened, all it cost was a bit more mental effort.

"Madara, huh? Let's hope he doesn't show up this time! If he does, we might have to call in reinforcements—like my grandmother and Lady Naori!"

"But if it really comes to that, we'll have no choice but to flip the table!"

"That won't do your efforts to win people over any good," Tsunade said, hesitating before nodding reluctantly.

Forcing the Third Hokage to step down, even with his shady dealings exposed later, would still leave a bad impression.

Plus, if Uzumaki Mito and Uchiha Naori stepped in, they would steal the spotlight. Kaito wouldn't have the chance to gain favor or build influence.

That was definitely not ideal.

So Tsunade could only hope Madara stayed out of it this time.

"Agreed!"

Kaito nodded again.

That night, Tsunade used a communication seal to summon the three frontline leaders to a meeting via their shadow clones.

The group had a detailed discussion, refining the plan to account for every possible scenario before finally adjourning.

At the same time, Kaito handed out antidote pills to the three leaders, who distributed them to the frontline ninjas under their command.

Then, it was back to business as usual as they waited for things to unfold.

From the next day, as expected, Kaito and his team were assigned patrol duties, marking the start of their frontline mission.

Throughout this period, they could sense that the Root ninjas hadn't let up their surveillance of them—not one bit.

In fact, the monitoring had intensified, with an additional squad joining the effort.

Now, there were three squads tailing them, seemingly intent on tracking their every move and collecting any useful information.

Meanwhile, the operatives Danzo had sent reached Hanzo for another secret meeting, delivering a letter from Danzo.

"What's Danzo up to this time?" Hanzo asked, raising an eyebrow.

The Root ninja simply replied, "Read the letter, and you'll understand. Once you've finished, please respond quickly so I can report back."

Hanzo shrugged and opened the letter, his eyes widening as he read. By the time he finished, his expression was a mix of disbelief and disdain.

"Well, well!" Hanzo sneered. "Danzo sure has guts this time, doesn't he?"

"Planning to wipe out the elite forces of the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki clans in one fell swoop?"

"That even includes Uchiha Naori's son and the Uzumaki princess?"

"If he pulls this off, Konoha will be in chaos!"

"This guy will stop at nothing to achieve his goals—he doesn't care if it destroys Konoha in the process."

Hanzo scoffed at Danzo's ruthlessness. If someone like him existed in the Land of Rain, Hanzo wouldn't hesitate to eliminate him immediately—otherwise, he'd never sleep soundly.

But since Danzo was a Konoha problem, things were different.

"So, what's your answer?" the Root ninja asked again, unfazed by Hanzo's mockery.

Hanzo studied the ninja for a moment, then smirked. "A brainwashed pawn, huh?"

"Classic Danzo."

"This plan benefits both me and the Land of Rain, so there's no reason for me to refuse."

"Go back and tell Danzo I agree."

"However, we need to plan carefully to lure the enemy into our ambush zone."

"Otherwise, dreaming of annihilating so many elite ninjas in one go is just that—a dream."

From their skirmishes, Hanzo had already realized how tough and resilient the three clans were.

Not to mention their physical strength and stamina, which far surpassed that of regular ninjas.

"Those nutritional pills of theirs... I'll have to get my hands on a batch someday," Hanzo thought to himself.

Such a treasure—something that could enhance physical strength, vitality, and chakra reserves—how could he not covet it?

If this plan succeeded, he could use the opportunity to crush Konoha's frontline forces and then invade the Land of Fire's heartlands.

Seizing the Land of Fire's territory would not only showcase the strength of Hanzo and the Hidden Rain Village but also force recognition of the Rain Village as the sixth major shinobi village.

Afterward, he could even unite with the Stone, Sand, Cloud, and Mist villages to launch a full-scale assault on the Land of Fire, carving it up between them.

If he emerged victorious, this wasn't an impossible goal.

With this thought, Hanzo's ambition burned even brighter.

"I understand! I'll return and report to Lord Danzo immediately," the Root ninja said with a nod before swiftly departing.

He raced back to Konoha's forward camp in the Land of Rain and reported the outcome to Danzo.

"Ha-ha! Excellent!"

Danzo's face lit up with excitement upon hearing Hanzo's agreement. "With this, the most crucial part of the plan is in place!"

Later, Hanzo and Danzo found an opportunity to meet in secret. They discussed the plan in detail before parting ways again.

Half a Month Later

At the Konoha camp, a sudden emergency signal came from Kaito's squad and over a dozen other patrol squads.

Tsunade and the three clans leaders were shocked, their expressions turning grim.

They immediately approached Danzo to explain the situation, requesting permission to lead the three clans' ninja forces in a rescue mission.

Danzo made a decisive call, granting their request and even promising to bring part of his forces as reinforcements, while instructing them to move ahead.

At the same time, he claimed that most of the camp's troops needed to stay behind to guard against potential ambushes from Hanzo, the Sand, or the Stone ninja.

Tsunade, already aware of Danzo's scheming thanks to her observation skills, had no objections. She readily agreed and gathered the three clans' ninja forces.

She personally led them to Kaito's location.

Hours Later, in a Valley in the Land of Rain

Hanzo stood on a high ledge at the entrance of the valley, overlooking the hundreds of Konoha ninjas from the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki clans entering the valley below.

Without hesitation, he summoned his salamander.

The massive creature spewed a dense, poisonous mist into the valley, carried further by the wind and fog.

The toxic cloud quickly spread, sealing off the valley entrance and expanding in all directions.

"Quick! Block the valley!"

Trailing about a kilometer behind the three clans' ninja, Danzo's eyes lit up at the sight. He immediately ordered the Sarutobi clan, the three other ninja clans, and the Root operatives to act.

The four clans' ninjas and Root members quickly obeyed.

"Earth Style: Mud Wall!"

In unison, over a hundred ninjas skilled in Earth Release stepped forward and unleashed their jutsu.

With a deafening rumble, a massive earthen wall, several hundred meters long and dozens of meters high, rose at the valley entrance.

Its thickness exceeded ten meters, sealing off the valley completely.

— — —

"Not good!"

Inside the valley, the three clans' ninjas had just reunited with Kaito's group.

Seeing the scene unfold at both ends, many panicked and cried out in alarm.

These were the uninformed members of the three clans who hadn't been brought into Kaito's plan.

Winning over adults' loyalty and trust wasn't an easy task, especially when Kaito hadn't yet demonstrated enough strength or prestige.

"Stay calm! Everything is going according to plan!"

Kaito's voice suddenly echoed in the minds of every ninja present.

"Is that… Kaito-sama's voice? What's going on?"

The panicked ninjas froze in confusion, turning their gazes to Kaito.

They couldn't figure out how he'd transmitted his voice, but that wasn't important now—survival was.

Before they could ask anything, Kaito spoke again: "Everyone, take the antidote pills you were given earlier!"

"These will make you immune to Hanzo's poison."

As he spoke, Kaito swallowed his own pill and crouched down, pressing a hand to the ground.

Boom!

Instantly, intricate sealing symbols radiated from the ground, spreading across the entire valley.

The seal expanded rapidly, encompassing not only the valley but also Danzo's and Hanzo's forces outside.

In moments, a massive barrier, over three kilometers in diameter, appeared in midair.

"What the…?"

"Damn it! A sealing barrier?!"

"When did they set this up? A barrier of this magnitude would've required extensive preparation, skilled seal masters, and a huge amount of chakra. How could they pull this off?"

"Damn it! We've been outplayed!"

Both Hanzo and Danzo's faces darkened as the realization hit them. Their initial smug expressions vanished, replaced by shock and fury.

"Attack the barrier! Quickly, before it's too late! The poison mist is spreading!"

Danzo shouted, his gaze darting between the valley and its surroundings.

Seeing the toxic fog spreading faster, his expression grew even grimmer. He barked orders at the four clans' ninjas and Root operatives under his command.

As they moved to attack the barrier, Danzo dashed toward its edge while weaving hand seals.
