Chapter 18: CHAPTER 11 : AUSTRIAN GP ARC (PART2)
The sun was shining brightly as the drivers took to the track for the first free practice session of the Austrian Grand Prix. Benjamin Hart, Pierre Dupont, Marco Rossi, and Lewis Hammer were all eager to get a feel for the track and fine-tune their setups.
As the session began, Benjamin and Pierre immediately found themselves at the top of the timesheets, their cars looking quick and agile through the corners. Marco and Lewis, on the other hand, were struggling to find their rhythm, their cars sliding and twitching through the turns.
As the session wore on, the tension between the drivers began to build. Benjamin and Pierre were constantly trading fastest laps, each one trying to outdo the other. Marco, meanwhile, was growing increasingly frustrated with his car's handling, his anger and frustration boiling over as he struggled to keep up with the leaders.
Lewis, however, remained calm and collected, his eyes fixed intently on the track as he worked to fine-tune his setup. Despite his struggles, he remained confident, knowing that he had the speed and the talent to compete with the best.
As the second free practice session got underway, the tension between the drivers continued to build. Benjamin and Pierre were still trading fastest laps, their cars looking quicker and more agile with every passing minute. Marco, meanwhile, was starting to find his rhythm, his car beginning to handle more predictably as he fine-tuned his setup.
But just as it seemed like Marco was starting to get into the groove, disaster struck. As he entered the final turn, his car suddenly snapped loose, sending him spinning into the gravel trap. The crowd gasped in shock as Marco's car came to a stop, the driver's frustration and anger evident as he climbed out of the cockpit.
Lewis, who had been watching the incident unfold, couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Marco's mistake had given him an opportunity to move up the timesheets, and he was determined to take advantage of it.
As the session came to a close, Benjamin and Pierre were still at the top of the timesheets, but Lewis had moved up to third, his car looking quicker and more agile with every passing minute. Marco, meanwhile, was left to ponder what might have been, his mistake in the final turn costing him valuable time and momentum.
As the final free practice session got underway, the tension between the drivers was palpable. Benjamin and Pierre were still at the top of the timesheets, but Lewis was closing in fast, his car looking quicker and more agile with every passing minute.
Marco, meanwhile, was determined to make up for lost time. He had been working tirelessly with his team to fine-tune his setup, and he was confident that he had found the speed and the handling he needed to compete with the leaders.
As the session wore on, the drivers continued to push themselves to the limit, their cars screaming and sliding through the turns. But just as it seemed like Lewis was about to take the top spot, disaster struck. As he entered the final turn, his car suddenly suffered a mechanical failure, sending him spinning into the gravel trap.
The crowd gasped in shock as Lewis's car came to a stop, the driver's frustration and anger evident as he climbed out of the cockpit. Benjamin and Pierre, meanwhile, were left to breathe a sigh of relief, their positions at the top of the timesheets secure.
But as the session came to a close, Marco was left to ponder the implications of Lewis's mechanical failure. Had it been a genuine mistake, or had Lewis's team been playing games with the rules? Marco didn't know, but he was determined to find out.
As the drivers climbed out of their cars and began to make their way back to their garages, the tension between them was palpable. The battle for the Austrian Grand Prix was far from over, and it seemed like anything could happen.
