Chapter 34: Chapter 33 :[Gato l ]

(Sorry for the late chapter.)

----

Naruto and Hinata stood in the clearing, bathed in the gentle glow of the moonlight filtering through the canopy of trees.

The tension of their earlier discussion about the plan to raid Gato's compound hung in the air, but the two had decided to shift their focus temporarily. Training now would sharpen their minds and bodies for the challenges ahead.

Naruto and Hinata honed techniques they had learned and adapted from the Scroll of Seals. Over the past few years, they had tested their chakra affinities and worked tirelessly to integrate elemental techniques into their combat styles.

Possessing a strong water affinity, Hinata had refined techniques that complemented her precise and fluid fighting style.

She could manipulate water to create defensive barriers, disorient opponents with water clones, and even enhance her Gentle Fist strikes with chakra-infused water to deliver internal disruption.

With a dominant wind affinity and a minor water affinity, Naruto focused on creating powerful wind-based techniques for both offense and support. He could use wind to amplify the range and force of his attacks or to disrupt enemy formations.

His water techniques were less developed but effective, allowing him to counter fire-based attacks and create environmental advantages when needed.

Both had adapted techniques from the Scroll of Seals, blending forbidden knowledge with their natural affinities:

Hinata developed the Water Ripple Strike, a move where a wave of chakra-infused water followed her Gentle Fist strikes, disorienting and destabilizing enemies.

She also practiced the Water Mirror Defense, creating reflective water shields that absorbed and redirected attacks.

Naruto refined a move he called the Cyclone Slash, where compressed wind chakra surged outward in a controlled blast, creating a whirlwind capable of cutting through obstacles and disarming enemies. Additionally, he experimented with Gale Step, a technique that used bursts of wind to enhance his speed and maneuverability.

Together, they trained relentlessly in the clearing, perfecting their synchronization and technique combinations. Naruto's wind techniques would push enemies into Hinata's range, where her water-infused Gentle Fist strikes would finish them with precision.

By the time they finished their training, they had a clear plan. Naruto's wind techniques would disrupt Gato's guards, creating chaos and opportunities for Hinata to strike efficiently. If necessary, they could combine their water techniques to create large-scale attacks, ensuring their dominance in the fight.

----

After sending Shadow Clones to act as their decoys, they trailed one of Gato's henchmen they had seen earlier in the village. The henchman, oblivious to their presence, led them straight to Gato's heavily guarded compound.

Using Hinata's Byakugan, they mapped out the compound's layout, identifying weak points in the guard rotations and hidden traps. Their strategy was twofold: sabotage Gato's resources to disrupt his operations and eliminate him to end his stranglehold over the Land of Waves.

The plan was precise and efficient. They would infiltrate quietly, neutralize any guards in their path, and confront Gato directly in his quarters. With his defeat, they could dismantle his empire, freeing the villagers from his tyranny. As they waited for the time to finish Gato their thoughts stirred

Both Naruto and Hinata knew the risks, but they also understood the importance of their mission. They moved with unwavering determination, ready to bring Gato's reign of terror to an end before sunrise.

( With Zabuza and Haku)

The air inside the dimly lit hideout was thick with tension. Zabuza sat against the wall, his bandages freshly wrapped, his injuries from the battle with Kakashi still healing. Haku stood nearby, silently watching over his master with his usual composed demeanor.

The sound of heavy boots against the wooden floor signaled the arrival of an unwelcome guest. Gato, flanked by a handful of his thuggish bodyguards, sauntered into the room with an arrogant smirk.

"Well, well, Zabuza," Gato sneered, stopping just a few feet away. "I heard you got your ass handed to you by some leaf-nin. You're supposed to be the Demon of the Mist, and yet here you are, licking your wounds."

Zabuza's lone visible eye twitched, but he remained silent. His grip on Kubikiribōchō tightened slightly, but he knew better than to act rashly—especially in his current state.

Gato chuckled, clearly enjoying himself. "I hired you to kill a bridge builder, not take a vacation. Do I need to remind you that I don't pay failures?"

Haku, calm as ever, stepped forward slightly. "We will complete the job. We simply underestimated our opponents," he said smoothly. "Next time, we'll be prepared."

Gato scoffed, waving a dismissive hand. "You better be. Because if you screw up again, I won't need you anymore. And when I don't need someone, well…" He gestured to his guards, who chuckled darkly.

Zabuza exhaled sharply, controlling his temper. "We'll kill the bridge builder. But I don't take orders from weaklings like you. Remember that."

Gato's smirk faltered for a brief moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "Just don't disappoint me, or I'll make sure your little pet here is the first to pay the price." He turned toward the exit. "You have one more chance. Get it done."

With that, Gato and his guards left, their laughter fading into the night.

Haku turned to Zabuza. "We should prepare, Zabuza-sama. They will be expecting us."

Zabuza gave a low chuckle, his sharp teeth glinting in the dim light. "Let them. Next time, I'll show them why they call me a demon."
