Chapter 33: Chapter 32 :[ The Land of waves ll ]
The early morning sunlight filtered through the trees as Team 7 gathered near the forest. Kakashi, still recovering but more alert, leaned against a tree with his crutch. His visible eye swept over the team.
Kakashi took a deep breath, his visible eye scanning the team. "Listen carefully. When I fought Zabuza, something didn't sit right. The hunter-nin who supposedly killed him made a critical mistake—he didn't destroy the body on the spot. That's standard protocol for hunter-nin to ensure their target's secrets don't fall into enemy hands."
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle. "Instead, the body was taken away intact. It's possible the hunter-nin wasn't what they seemed. If they were working with Zabuza, they could've just been helping him escape to recover."
Sasuke furrowed his brow, his fists clenched. "So, you're saying we didn't really win back there?"
Kakashi shook his head. "Don't underestimate a shinobi like Zabuza. He's cunning and dangerous. If I'm right, he's likely recovering and planning his next move. We need to stay vigilant and prepare. This isn't over yet."
Sakura looked worried. "Do you think he'll come after us here?"
Kakashi nodded solemnly. "If he's alive, he'll finish what he started. We've got about a week at most to prepare. Use this time wisely—train hard and stay sharp. We can't let our guard down for even a second. So i have got a training for all of you".
Sasuke crossed his arms, a smirk tugging at his lips. "What kind of training is it?"
Kakashi gestured to a nearby tree. "Tree climbing."
Naruto blinked in confusion. "Tree climbing? What are we, kids? I already know how to do that!" Saying so, he casually walked up a nearby tree, standing triumphantly on a sturdy branch.
"I know it too," Hinata added softly but confidently, her voice steady as she gracefully followed Naruto, her steps light and precise as she joined him on another branch.
"What about water walking then?" Kakashi suggested.
"Done that as well," both Naruto and Hinata replied in unison.
Naruto grinned and took a step forward. "Kakashi-sensei, why don't you let me and Hinata train separately? We can focus on something more advanced while you work with Sasuke on tree climbing and water walking."
Kakashi's visible eye narrowed thoughtfully before he gave a slow nod. "Alright, Naruto. If you and Hinata are confident, you can work on your own. But make sure you're pushing yourselves—no slacking."
Naruto shot Hinata a grin. "Let's go, Hinata! We'll show Kakashi-sensei how much we've improved."
Hinata gave a small smile and nodded. "Yes, Naruto-kun."
Kakashi turned to Sasuke. "Looks like it's just you and me. Let's get started."
In a clearing some distance away from Kakashi and Sasuke, Naruto and Hinata stood side by side. As soon as they were out of sight, their cheerful smiles faded, replaced by a calm, mischievous grin on Naruto's face.
"Man, it's really hard pretending I don't know anything," Naruto said, his tone light but his eyes sharp.
Hinata glanced at him, her demeanor shifting to match his. "So, what should we do now, Naruto-kun?" she asked softly.
Naruto smirked. "I've got an idea. Zabuza's injured, right? Why don't we raid Gato's base and take him out? Without him pulling the strings, this whole mess will fall apart."
Hinata hesitated for a moment. "I don't know… what if Kakashi-sensei starts to suspect us? He's sharp, Naruto-kun."
Naruto shrugged, his confidence unwavering. "We'll be careful. As long as we make it look like Gato's enemies took him down, no one will connect it to us. Besides, it's not like we're doing anything wrong. Gato's a scumbag who deserves it."
Hinata nodded slowly, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Alright, Naruto-kun. I trust you. Let's make sure we plan this carefully."
"Don't worry," Naruto said, his grin widening. "By the time we're done, Gato won't even know what hit him."

Sasuke stood with a determined expression as he listened to Kakashi's instructions. "Tree climbing sounds simple, but the trick is controlling your chakra precisely," Kakashi explained, tapping the tree with his crutch.
"You'll need to focus it into the soles of your feet—too much, and you'll break the surface; too little, and you won't stick."
Sasuke smirked. "I've got this."
"Show me, then," Kakashi said, gesturing toward the tree.
Sasuke took a few steps back, focusing his chakra as he dashed toward the tree. He managed a few steps up before losing control and sliding back down. He frowned but quickly got back to his feet.
"Not as easy as it looks, huh?" Kakashi remarked, his tone teasing but encouraging. "Take your time. Once you master this, tree walking will feel like second nature."
Sasuke's frustration boiled over as he clenched his fists, his Sharingan flickering dangerously in his eyes. "How can those idiots know something that I don't?" he muttered under his breath, his voice laced with both anger and confusion.
"I am Uchiha... I should be above them." His thoughts, clouded by rage, only made him feel more isolated, his need to surpass Naruto and Hinata becoming an obsession that threatened to consume him entirely.
