A surge of shimmering energy (FWOOSH!) erupted around them, forming a protective barrier (VMMM!).

The monstrous entity roared (ROOOOAAARRR!), its massive claws crashing into the shield (CRACK! BOOM!), sending jagged fractures rippling across its surface.

The impact sent a shockwave (WHOOOM!), forcing Ivan to stumble back, his breath coming in sharp gasps.

"We don't have time," Liza said, quickly pulling out three vials.

The liquid inside glowed faintly, swirling like captured moonlight.

CLINK. CLINK.

Noah raised a brow. "What is it?"

Liza smirked. "A temporary invisibility potion. It won't last long, but it'll get us out of here."

BOOM!

The monster struck again—fury in its movements. The shield trembled, cracks splintering like spiderwebs (CRRRRK!).

Ivan gritted his teeth, his arms straining as he held the barrier together.

Another devastating strike.

CRASH!

The shield shattered (SHIIIING!), dissolving into fragments of light.

"Drink it. Now."

They downed the potion in one swift motion (GULP. GULP. GULP.).

Just as the monster lunged forward—

Its burning eyes locked onto them—

And then…

Nothing.

The creature snarled (GRRRHHH!), its gaze darting around in confusion.

The ruins groaned under its weight (THUD… THUD…), but its prey had vanished.

Silent. Unseen.

The trio bolted (WHOOSH!), their steps barely audible as they slipped into a collapsed building (SCRAPE. SHUFFLE.).

The potion's effect began to fade (FZZZT…).

They pressed their backs against the cold, cracked wall, their hearts pounding (THUMP-THUMP-THUMP).

Outside, the monster's heavy footsteps (THOOM… THOOM…) stomped through the ruins, searching.

For now, they were safe.
