The creepy Night.

Chapter 16: The Unveiling.

Chapter 16

Subey stood in the dimly lit alley, gripping the locket she had found in Caroline's belongings—the same one John had gifted her before betraying them all. The weight of truth pressed down on her, but tonight, she wasn't just a grieving sister or a victim of fate. Tonight, she was something else.

The city was restless, shadows moving with whispers of the past. She had spent weeks tracing Mia's movements, and the pieces were finally falling into place. Mia had orchestrated everything—the accident, the deception, and even John's betrayal. But why?

A message flickered on her phone. A private number. "Come alone. Warehouse 17. Midnight."

She knew this was it. The moment where the hunter and the hunted would collide.

When Subey arrived, the warehouse smelled of rust and gasoline. The dim light revealed a single chair in the center, and sitting there—bound, bruised, but very much alive—was Caroline.

Subey's breath hitched. This wasn't possible. John had killed her. She had seen the evidence.

A slow clap echoed through the warehouse. Mia stepped out from the shadows, smirking.

"You should have looked deeper, Subey."

Caroline's eyes darted to her, desperate but defiant. There was a fire in them that hadn't burned out.

"Welcome to the truth." Mia's voice was smooth, venomous. "You thought John was the only monster?"

Subey's world tilted. If Caroline was alive… then who had been buried? What had Mia done? And most importantly—what had Subey missed all along?

---

This opens up new possibilities: Was Caroline's "death" staged? Was Mia manipulating everything from the start? And how will Subey handle this shocking truth? Ok
