With Xu Feng quickly adapting to the new situation and arranging for everyone's new position, the team was able to remain composed.

Had it been any others, they most likely would have become flustered by the unexpected situation resulting in a team wipeout. The more intense and riskier the situation was, the more the Raid Leader needed to remain calm.

"I didn't mean to activate a third Gargoyle, Raid Leader." SilentWhisper pursed her lips and tried to explain her action.

"Did I say I'm blaming you?" Xu Feng coolly responded, his eyes remained locked on the active third Gargoyle.

"DeathLingers will now assume the tank position. You do not need to actually tank but attract its attention and use your speed to outrun or dodge their attacks." He continued, letting DeathLingers know about his job.

Meanwhile, DeathLingers remained silent briefly. In theory, they had three tanks in this team, so why were they lacking an actual tank?

The answer was rather simple: Xu Feng assigned two tanks to deal with the first Gargoyle.

DeathLingers didn't know nor did anyone else within the battlefield have the time to ponder his action.

"Can you do it or not?" Xu Feng's voice resounded once again when he saw no response from DeathLingers, not even a simple nod.

Snapping out of his daze, DeathLingers nodded and proceeded to step forward, garnering the third Gargoyle's attention.

"Remember to pay attention to your steps. I don't wish to see another accident occurring." Xu Feng calmly said, nearly causing SilentWhisper to cry inwardly at her blunder.

'I really didn't mean to cause an accident.' She wanted to clarify her action but had no chance when Xu Feng began commanding her to prepare to launch her spells.

"Stop brooding over past mistakes and focus up." Xu Feng flatly said, clearly not putting her mistake in mind. "If you really want to redeem yourself, then kill this third Gargoyle faster than the one Shadow Blade is dealing with."

"Yes, Raid Leader!" For once, SilentWhisper was feeling grateful to Xu Feng for not blaming or reprimanding her for the mistake. Anyone would have probably flipped out by now for causing a greater mess.

A second later, she shook her head a few times to stop thinking over her misplacement and paid full attention to the third Gargoyle.

"DeathLingers, I don't care if you will die, but you will not move 3 meters away from your position. If you do, then I'll have SilentWhisper kill you to prevent another activation." Xu Feng coldly warned, his attitude a far cry when compared to his treatment of SilentWhisper.

This change of preferential treatment startled SilentWhisper briefly.

'Did the Raid Leader have a change of heart? But that's impossible!' Despite the confusion in her mind, she wholeheartedly started bombarding the third Gargoyle with everything she had.

Simultaneously, DeathLingers started playing a dodgeball game with the Gargoyle. The two were constantly going back and forth with zero physical contact.

Occasionally, when DeathLingers were about to walk out of bounds, Xu Feng would unleash Sacred Fire and block his path.

He had already warned SilentWhisper in advance that if DeathLingers ever got hit by his spell, then she was to change target.

Speechless, DeathLingers could only remain in a certain range as he dodged around.

However, there were only so many offensive strikes he could dodge before he got hit by the Gargoyle.

Upon getting hit, DeathLingers' health would decrease by about 10%, but Xu Feng would promptly heal him to the max after a while.

Xu Feng would be foolish to heal him instantly to snatch the aggro from DeathLingers.

Just like that, three separate battles continued for about 5-10 minutes before the first Gargoyle fell from Carmen's high DPS.

When Carmen was about to assist Xu Feng in the third Gargoyle, she was flatly refused, with Xu Feng pointing at Zhao Kai.

A bit confused by his decision, Carmen didn't doubt his judgment and obliged.

"Let's go help Shadow Blade." She announced to Icehear and Ardent Lance, in which the two readily advance forward to help alleviate Zhao Kai's plight.

Since Zhao Kai had been tanking for a while without any of the buff and heal from Xu Feng, he was honestly struggling a little bit.

"Let's rotate," Ardent Lance lifted his shield up and took over Zhao Kai's position.

"Hmph, why bother shielding when you can just slam it down." Iceheart sneered coldly and swung her Claymore sword wildly, seemingly venting all the pent-up frustration.

She hadn't had her fun in the first Gargoyle because of Carmen's high DPS, especially when the first was able to take flight.

If now was not the best time to lay the smackdown, then Iceheart wouldn't know when it would be.

As Iceheart rampage attacks continued, Carmen was stupefied by how little gap she had created for the rest to assist in.

"She's not trying to hoard all the experience points for herself, right?" Veronica furrowed her brows, seemingly confused by Iceheart's action.

"No, I doubt that's the case. We're all in a team so the experience points are shared regardless of how little damage input or contribution we made." Carmen shook her head and denied that deduction.

"I'm positive that she's thinking the Cursed Gargoyle is the Raid Leader so she has lost her mind." She continued, not a bit surprised that someone would vent their frustration after getting played by Xu Feng.

A similar situation had played out with Crimson Heart, albeit much more fortunate when compared to Iceheart.

"Hmm, is that so?" Veronica somehow didn't find her conclusion overboard at all.

Although she hadn't experienced Xu Feng's scolding or reprimand once, she still felt overwhelmed by his aura when assuming the Raid Leader role.

'I feel like the Raid Leader is more scary than these Cursed Gargoyles.' She thought to herself, subtly turning around and watching Xu Feng's battle.
