Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Shortly after being involved in a pincer-like state, Zhao Kai took a deep breath.

Despite his frustration at Xu Feng's antics, the truth was that he had been used to it by now.

After all, a pincer from two Gargoyles couldn't have been more terrifying back when he had to deal with multiple Shadow Wolves at the Verdant Valley.

Back then, he was a complete amateur and when faced with such realistic enemies, it was horrifying and nerve-wracking. Nevertheless, he still gritted his teeth to go through with it and managed to successfully emerge victorious.

Henceforth, he was sent on a solo mission at Evershade City to discreetly establish a sphere of influence for the Vanguard Guild.

'Hmph, as if I will be the one in trouble by something trivial like this.' Zhao Kai inwardly sneered and dashed ahead with the active Gargoyle on his back.

In a pincer attack, the best strategy was to attack the weaker member for a breakthrough.

Since the active Gargoyle was still in the position of trying to spread its wings out to take the sky, now was the perfect time for him to launch a decisive attack.

"Go rest for eternity like you've been, stone creature!" Zhao Kai roared furiously and extended his shield to bash the hell out of it.

Amidst Zhao Kai's decisive action, Xu Feng also smiled behind his mask as he commanded, "Everyone, target the left wing of the airborne Gargoyle!"

"Understood!"

"Roger!"

Shortly after, everyone started bombarding and hindering the airborne Gargoyle from approaching closer to Zhao Kai, who was busy bashing the second one.

Although most of the spells were missed with the airborne Gargoyle dodging left and right, it successfully hindered its flight speed and movement dearly.

After all, Carmen's intention was not to damage the airborne Gargoyle but rather to use her Elementalist to create a roadblock or skyblock in this case.

"My Elementalists will stay at the front to deter it, so just predict its movement when dodging left and right." Carmen declared, letting everyone know of her objective.

Following her command, Veronica soon began to cast her spells at the leftmost area, seemingly trying to predict the airborne Gargoyle's dodge trajectory in advance.

Alas, it was just a pity that the Gargoyle chose to dodge in its right position, rather than the left side. Nevertheless, with it constantly being forced to dodge a bombardment of spells from behind, the Gargoyle realized it could no longer put any pressure on Zhao Kai.

With a disgruntled growl, the Gargoyle finally halted its advancement toward Zhao Kai. Instead, it turned around and glared fiercely at those from the back.

"Good, Ardent Lance and Iceheart take the front now! Ensure that this Gargoyle cannot get to our backline." Xu Feng instructed and buffed their defense.

"Yes, Raid Leader!" Ardent Lance held his shield up while his other hand gestured his lance, seemingly ready to parry the Gargoyle's upcoming attack.

Iceheart was even more straightforward. She directly wielded her Claymore sword around, preparing to confront the Gargoyle.

As the Gargoyle growled and started to launch straight to the DPS line, Ardent Lance snickered coldly.

"Knight Stance!" Ardent Lance slammed his shield on the ground, causing a soft rumble as the shield glowed in a bright golden light.

Very quickly, the aggro was drawn by Ardent Lance, given the Gargoyle changed its flight midway to target him instead.

"I've got the aggro!" Ardent Lance called out.

"Perfect, now all DPS, strike with all you got. The rotation will last approximately 5-7 cycles!" Xu Feng commanded, his gaze discreetly looking at someone.

Shortly after Xu Feng's command, Veronica wasted no time, launching Frost Bolt from her staff. An icy blue energy quickly crackled through the air as it connected with the Gargoyle's wings, slowing its movement slightly.

"I slowed its movement down," Veronica informed the rest about its successful hit.

"Got it!" Carmen nodded. With its decreased movement, Carmen channeled her mana through her Elementalist, using it as a medium to summon a torrent of flame.

"Have a taste of my blast power!" She exclaimed, launching Elemental Blast toward the Gargoyle's flank as the fiery explosion created a beautiful brightening scene.

"ROAR!"

As the Gargoyle roared angrily in pain from the devastating attack, its eyes remained focused on Ardent Lance, having been attracted by the glowing shield light.

"Hmph, how dare you ignore me?" Steelshot snorted and assumed a perfect position. With precision, he fired Burst Shots, his rifle unleashing a rapid stream of bullets, each hit causing visible dents and cracks on the Gargoyle's stony skin.

Meanwhile, Iceheart was already in mid-swing, her Claymore carving a path through the air with a heavy Cleave, each strike landing on the Gargoyle's limbs, her Berserker strength combined with her cold aura beginning to wear down its defense.

Enraged, the Gargoyle mustered its strength and flapped its wings heavily.

The wings soon created a strong wind turbulence, sending a few individuals off their position.

Amidst the turbulence, someone ended up on a spot that inadvertently was going to trigger a third Gargoyle from spawning. SilentWhisper found herself in a terrible position after the wind turbulence.

She wanted to quickly return to her position, but it was a little bit too late.

Due to two active Gargoyles being in the scene already, just a few seconds were enough to activate more resting Cursed Gargoyles.

Nevertheless, Xu Feng still activated Phantom Step, grabbed her by the waist, and helped her retreat from the scene.

Before SilentWhisper could apologize and thank him for it, Xu Feng quickly commanded Carmen to send a few Elementalists to his side and temporarily reduce the DPS in the first Gargoyle.

"Our team will be split into three parts now. Steelshot, go assist Shadow Blade along with Vortex Viper. Ardent Lance, Iceheart, and Lunar Wraith will continue to focus on the first Gargoyle." Xu Feng arranged the new team format.

Thus, leaving the unintended activated third Gargoyle to be handled by him, SilentWhisper, and DeathLingers.

"Remember not to panic and stay focused. Once you see the gargoyle about to make an offense, be prepared for it and get out of the range if you're able to." Xu Feng warned, commencing another difficult phase of the battle.
