Chapter 13: Fighting Demon or Points Demon?

The classroom buzzed with activity, resembling a bustling vegetable market. Students played around, filling the air with noise and laughter. Uchiha Tatsumi was deep in conversation with Minato. Noticing this, Mikoto politely stepped aside, giving them space to talk while adopting a posture of attentive listening.

Such a virtuous Mikoto, Tatsumi thought with a smile.

"This is a great opportunity, Minato. You have to work hard," Tatsumi encouraged Minato, who was visibly excited. Unlike Minato's enthusiasm, Tatsumi remained composed and calm. He had a lot on his plate—besides training in Taijutsu, he had basic Ninjutsu to learn, various Genjutsu to master, and Shuriken techniques to perfect. Tatsumi had crafted a detailed training schedule for himself, leaving little free time.

I can't afford to participate in this kind of instruction now, even if it's from the Sannin, he mused. They won't teach these little kids high-level Ninjutsu, and I don't lack training methods or Ninjutsu techniques.

"By the way, what about Nawaki? Ask Nawaki; he must be clear about this kind of thing," Tatsumi suggested.

At that moment, Nawaki, who was sitting in front, turned around with a mischievous glint in his eye. "I have exclusive news. Want to hear it? If you do, Tatsumi, you have to teach me the kunai throwing technique you used last time."

"…"

Tatsumi sighed but agreed to the exchange.

After the deal was settled, Nawaki leaned in with a satisfied grin. "I heard my elder sister say that this time, the top three will be selected for their training. You two must keep it up."

"Wait... The top three? Doesn't that mean there will be a competition?" Tatsumi pondered.

He realized the three Sannin would likely hold a competition to choose the top students for training. If I win, there will be a lot of points again, he thought excitedly. Tatsumi had already earned points from almost all students in his grade, including Minato and Nawaki, whom he had bested multiple times, earning the nickname "Fighting Demon."

It's not my fault the system abducted me, he chuckled inwardly.

Tatsumi hadn't received a large number of points for some time and was contemplating whether to challenge third-year students. This competition presented a golden opportunity. If I win the top three, I'll definitely earn a lot of ninja points.

He couldn't help but laugh, feeling confident about securing first place. "Really, really good! Isn't it, Minato?" Tatsumi squinted his eyes with a grin.

Minato, who had initially felt a bit disappointed at Tatsumi's nonchalant attitude, now reciprocated his excitement. "Yes, keep it up, Tatsumi! But... aren't you too happy?"

"No, I'm just excited to meet Nawaki's elder sister!" Tatsumi replied, feigning innocence.

Nawaki's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Tatsumi!"

"Um, what's wrong, Nawaki?" Tatsumi asked, turning his head.

Nawaki leaned in with a charming smile. "Work hard," he said, extending his hand.

Tatsumi, smiling, stretched out his hand and shook Nawaki's hand firmly. "Oh!"

Ka-cha!

"Tatsumi… I just wanted to shake hands. Why did you twist my hand?" Nawaki winced.

"Nonsense… Of course, you have to twist… hmph!" Tatsumi grinned mischievously as he twisted Nawaki's hand.

"It hurts!" Nawaki yelped, unable to bear the pain. He screamed like a pig and accidentally dropped the kunai he was holding.

Minato: "…"

Uchiha Tatsumi: "…"

Nawaki smiled awkwardly, rubbing his hand. Mikoto's gaze, initially soft, gradually turned cold as she looked at Tatsumi.

"Tatsumi… what you just said, I didn't hear clearly. Can you say it again?" Mikoto's voice held a hint of annoyance.

"…"

"…"

Minato and Nawaki quickly ran back to their seats, leaving Tatsumi looking innocent and helpless. It took over twenty minutes for Tatsumi to finally calm the little temper in Mikoto's heart.

Mikoto is so well-behaved and kind-hearted, Tatsumi thought. But she can be a bit easy to blacken.

"Little demons, it's time for class. If you haven't returned to your seats, go back," a rugged voice echoed through the classroom.

Nishimura-sensei entered, his first reaction being to instruct the students to return to their seats. Seeing the children obediently comply, he coughed and continued.

"Today's outdoor class will be different from the past. Third Hokage has called his disciples back from their missions. They are all available today and ready to conduct a day of outdoor lessons at our Academy. Now, line up and head to the training stadium!"

"Okay~"

The students responded, gathering their Ninja Tool Pouches and other necessary props.

"Slow down, don't crowd," Nishimura-sensei's voice echoed through the corridor.

The hallway was packed with students, as the entire Academy was participating in the outdoor class. The number of students was immense. Tatsumi, Mikoto, Minato, and Nawaki lined up together, walking slowly.

"Remember this: as my students, you will always be Konoha's Elite ninja, the mainstay," the rugged voice of Nishimura-sensei continued.

"This statement doesn't hold up. There's no causal relationship between these two things," Tatsumi whispered to Minato.

Nishimura-sensei continued to boast loudly, "So show me some ninja temperament. Like me. Don't be ashamed of me, and don't crowd like ordinary little demons, got it?"

"We got it!"

Despite Nishimura-sensei's rough exterior, he held a high level of prestige in the class. With just a few words, the noisy classroom settled down.

After their respective examinations, all the students in the class lined up quietly and started to head toward the Academy training stadium.
