Chapter 68: Lupin Vs Alpha
One of the wolves lunged at Borak, snapping its jaws dangerously close to his snout. Borak stomped the ground, kicking up dirt and forcing the wolf to retreat a step.
Arthur smirked, calling out, "Borak, don't just scare it—time to remind it who's in charge!"
Borak snorted deeply and charged forward, his tusks threatening the wolf.
The wolf sidestepped with surprising agility, darting around to try and flank him. Arthur chuckled. "Clever little furball, aren't you? Too bad you've got Borak to deal with."
The wolf attempted another attack, this time aiming for Borak's side, but the boar spun just in time, his tusks catching the wolf's shoulder.

"Nice one!" Arthur called, his grin widening. "Keep it up, Borak. Make it regret trying to fight you."
Meanwhile, Hank circled high above, his sharp eyes fixed on the second wolf. The wolf snapped its head up, tracking the hawk's movements with a wary growl.
Arthur noted the tension building up in the wolf and shouted, "Hank, wait for it… let it think it's safe, then hit it when it lunges. Timing is key here!"
The wolf finally lost patience and leapt upward, its jaws wide in an attempt to catch Hank mid-flight. Hank folded his wings slightly, diving just out of reach before banking quickly. Arthur's voice rang out, "Now! Claw Grab!"
Hank's talons flashed, latching onto the wolf's hind leg and yanking it off balance mid-lunge. The wolf yelped as it hit the ground awkwardly.
Arthur chuckled, his amusement growing.
Meanwhile, Borak had gotten the wolf with a powerful charge and made him lose balance.
The wolf tried to scramble back to its feet, but Borak wasted no time. He charged, aiming his tusks squarely at the downed enemy.
The impact sent the wolf flying into a nearby tree.

Arthur glanced at the last wolf, which was now cornered, its growls growing weaker but still defiant. "You've got guts, I'll give you that," Arthur muttered. "But guts alone won't save you."
The wolf that was fighting Hank darted toward Borak in a final, desperate attempt to land a blow at an enemy, but Hank was faster.
The hawk dove once more, latching onto the wolf's back with his talons and dragging it down.

Borak tried to follow up but Arthur stopped him.
"Borak, Stop! Leave Hank handle that wolf, don't steal the show now." He said, stopping the boar mid-charge.
After landing his Claw Grab skill, Hank immediately followed up with another attack, ending the wolf's life who had already sustained many injuries.

Arthur folded his arms, watching the defeated wolf slump to the ground. "Good job, boys. You have killed the predators of this area, alone! You are doing amazing, keep up the good work." he said, nodding in approval.
His eyes drifted to Lupin and the alpha wolf, who were still locked in a fierce duel. The two circled each other, their bodies tense, each wolf waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Lupin lunged suddenly, aiming for the alpha's throat, but the Alpha twisted away and countered with a slash to Lupin's side.
Arthur winced. "Damn, Lupin, you're holding nothing back, huh? That's one hell of a grudge you've got there."
The alpha let out a deep, guttural growl, charging at Lupin with ferocious speed. Lupin dodged narrowly, his fangs snapping at the alpha's hind leg in retaliation. Arthur leaned against a tree, his expression contemplative.
"I could step in and end this right now," he muttered. "But something tells me Lupin doesn't want that. This fight… it's personal."
He turned his focus back to Borak and Hank, who were catching their breath after their victories. "Rest up," he said with a faint smirk. "Now let's see how Lupin handles his old boss."
Arthur crossed his arms, his eyes locked on the grudge match unfolding before him. "This is better than anything I've seen in this world so far. This is some good lore, it's quite interesting too." He chuckled quietly to himself, watching as Lupin and the alpha wolf clashed once more.
The trees trembled as Lupin and the Alpha Wolf faced off, their low howls like distant thunder rolling through the oppressive silence.
The Alpha, that dwarfed Lupin, stood tall and unyielding, his matted fur bristling with menace. his yellow eyes glowed faintly, not with mere hunger but with the cold assurance of a ruler defending his throne.
Lupin, slightly smaller but no less fearsome, mirrored his stance, his lean frame coiled with power and his silver coat radiated elegance.
Arthur stood several paces back, his hand resting on the hilt of his dagger as he watched the confrontation unfold. "This one's going to be brutal," he muttered, his voice filled with anticipation. "Lupin, don't let that oversized mutt scare you. Remember, even kings can fall."
The Alpha struck first, his movement a blur of raw power.
His claws which were as sharp as daggers slashed through the air, aiming for Lupin's throat.
But Lupin was ready.
With a swift sidestep, he ducked low, the Alpha's claws slicing through empty space. Wasting no time, Lupin lunged, his fangs sinking into the Alpha's hind leg with a forceful snap.

The Alpha snarled in a fury, his massive head whipping around with terrifying speed. his jaws snapped inches from Lupin's neck, forcing him to release his grip and dart back to a safe distance.
The Alpha's leg trembled under the brutal attack from earlier, but he didn't falter. Instead, he surged forward with relentless aggression, his claws aimed with brutality.
Arthur winced as the Alpha's strike connected, raking across Lupin's flank and sending a spray of blood across the dirt.
'That's gotta hurt,' Arthur thought.
Lupin let out a sharp yelp but remained on his feet, his eyes blazing with defiance.

"Damn it, Lupin!" Arthur called out, his voice sharp but steady. "Keep moving. Hit where it hurts—go for the throat or the eyes!"
Lupin didn't need the encouragement. With a feral snarl, he leapt upward, his jaws latching onto the Alpha's shoulder.
His teeth tore through the thick fur, and the Alpha let out a guttural roar, staggering slightly as blood seeped from the wound.

The Alpha retaliated instantly, bucking like a maddened beast. his sheer strength sent Lupin flying, and slamming into a tree with a heavy thud that shook the ground.
Arthur's heart pounded as he watched Lupin rise slowly, blood streaking his coat but his stance unbroken. "Get back in there, Lupin," he muttered under his breath. "You're not done yet."
"The anger in your eyes... The hatred in your heart, you've got to keep fighting until the last breath!" Arthur supported from the side.
The Alpha stood in the centre, his breath coming in ragged bursts. he snarled, his eyes narrowing as he assessed his opponent, lupin.
Lupin stepped forward, his resolve not in the least shaken.
His eyes locked back onto the Alpha, and his growl deepened, echoing with a hint of rage. Arthur's eyes widened slightly. "Oh, he's pissed. The Alpha's in trouble now."
