Chapter 531: Display of Power.
I didn’t receive a response, so I figured they found my humor too overwhelming that they were speechless.
I can’t really blame anyone because fun and awesomeness always go hand in hand with me effortlessly.
"Do you think you can joke around just because you’re strong?" sneered the humanoid creature powered by nuclear energy.
I’ll just call him "Nuclear" because of how easily his temper flared. red , and I’m really lazy with naming nobodies.
He looked like someone who had a sad origin story, like he used to work in a nuclear plant and fell directly into it, gaining this power.
Not gonna lie, there’s a pretty high chance that could really be the case.
"Ah, yes," I chuckled in response. "I mean, that’s what being strong is all about, right?"
"No, it isn’t," he protested, his voice filled with conviction.
"I’m pretty sure it is. If you think otherwise, it means you’re not strong enough," I taunted him.
Nuclear’s green eyes squinted. "You’ve been corrupted by the power you have because your mind is weak."
"My mind is weak?" I chuckled. All my power was related to my mind; I had the best and strongest mind in this universe.
In fact, as long as my consciousness was intact, I was basically unkillable.
"That’s right, your mind is weak," he sneered in contempt.
"Oh, then what is the meaning of being strong then?" I asked casually.
I wasn’t in a hurry to end this fight, so a bit of small talk wouldn’t hurt.
Besides, I found this person interesting. I could tell from his words that he meant every single one of them.
Maybe I had finally met someone with principles, which was pretty rare, to be honest.
"Being strong means being responsible for weaker people. Instead of using your power for the greater good, you’re here power-tripping and bullying the weak," he spat, his voice filled with his own sense of justice.
I was momentarily shocked by his words. Something inside me was triggered, and I felt the need to address this misunderstanding.
"I am being responsible, and I’m trying to protect the weak," I replied.
"Bullshit! How is this protecting the weak?" he roared.
"We really have different ways. No need to push your philosophy on me. I thought this place respected opinions?" I taunted.
"You’re a lost cause," he sighed. The next moment, the energy inside him started to run amok, and in real-time, his body began to undergo nuclear fission.
I thought he would attack me head-on, so I waited.
But then, a fluctuation in space caught my attention.
Suddenly, one by one, more gifted individuals appeared, each with different powers. They had come here to kill me.
Next moment, thousands of advanced robots were deployed from those aircraft carriers.
The entire sky turned into a full-out battlefield, with me at the center alongside my elemental giants.
"Are you really planning to fight me? You can still change your mind and surrender, you know," I asked.
These guys couldn’t read the mood at all.
Couldn’t they tell how hard I’m trying not to kill all of them?
Instead of talking to me, they all ganged up and came here to fight.
"You attack our nation and you want us to surrender?" the thousands of robots spoke again in unison.
And with his declaration, the other gifteds released their aura, a power so strong that it dwarfed even the combined force of the Zol Clan before.
I memorized all the seat members of the United Power, and none of them were present. These were just their lackeys, sent to test my strength and assess the risk of confronting me directly.
Seeing this, I decided to humor them by demonstrating a fraction of my power. If they were smart, they would immediately consider surrendering rather than risking pissing me off.
"You guys really need a wake-up call. I’ve been going easy on you because I wanted to be diplomatic, but you just have to be prideful. Alright, I’ll play with you all and show you that there are some things in life that are absolute, and that is my... Power," I raised my staff and gestured for them to come.
I even unsummoned my elemental giants to make this fight more interesting.
Everyone seized the opportunity and launched their attacks, Nuclear Man was the first to reach me
This time, instead of dodging, I met his attack head-on.
His nuclear-charged fist surged towards me with incredible force.
I focused my power, channeling it through my staff. A barrier of pure energy formed around me, deflecting his blow with a resounding shockwave
Nuclear Man staggered back, surprised by the impact. His eyes widened as he realized how tough my barrier was.
The other gifteds and robots surged forward, their varied powers converging on me in a chaotic barrage.
I spun my staff, creating whirlwinds of elemental force that swept away the robots and disrupted the gifteds’ attacks.
There were individuals with unique abilities among the attackers, but none could penetrate my defenses.
Meanwhile, the robots joined forces, relentlessly firing beams of light from their hands.
However, I quickly adapted, bending their own attacks back towards them.
Seeing that I was immune to light-based assaults, the robots halted their barrage, realizing the futility of their efforts.
After a couple of minutes, some of them began to falter.
They saw how easily I countered all their attacks, and their anxiety grew when they noticed I kept casting a variety of made-up spells.
Each new spell I conjured added to their unease, especially when some of them resembled techniques from OP anime characters.
Finally, the attacks ceased, and I remained hovering in the air, unscathed.
It wasn’t that these people were weak; I was just too strong for them.
"Is that all you got?" I asked .
Everyone paused, not a single one of them was in the mood to trash talk after witnessing my display of power.
"Where are your big bosses? I heard the United Power has a bunch of powerful people. How about you all come here to save me time ? I’ll wait," I taunted, fully aware that this fight was now being broadcast worldwide.
