Chapter 376: Chapter 376: No Matter How Many Times I Say It, I Am the Only One I Can Trust!

The discussion surrounding perfect Jinchūriki and alliances brought both excitement and tension. Shinki had just finished briefing the Third Hokage on the state of affairs in the ninja world, particularly focusing on the quirks of various villages and their Jinchūriki.

The Problem with Killer Bee

"Honestly," Shinki said, "the Cloud Village is unbelievably lucky to have Killer Bee as their Jinchūriki. He's... eccentric, to say the least, but that eccentricity works in their favor."

The Third Hokage raised an eyebrow. "Eccentric?"

"He's like a psychopath," Shinki said bluntly. "But a useful one. His thick skin allows him to bond with the Eight-Tails without holding grudges against it."

The Third Hokage chuckled at the description. "So, his unconventional personality actually increases his chances of becoming a perfect Jinchūriki."

"Exactly. If not for Kushina's determination—and my constant nudging—the Nine-Tails would never have cooperated with her. Without that relationship, she'd never have achieved what she has. At best, she'd have ended up like Uzumaki Mito, suppressing the Nine-Tails but never truly using its full power."

The Hokage fell silent, digesting the information.

Selling the Perfect Jinchūriki Information

Shinki shifted the conversation. "Raikage, Tsuchikage, and Chiyo have all expressed interest in discussing the perfect Jinchūriki process. The Kazekage hasn't shown up, though. He's likely busy mining in the desert."

The Hokage chuckled at the jab but soon grew serious. "So, what's your stance on selling the information to villages with tailed beasts?"

"Sell it," Shinki said plainly. "Collect the benefits and build diplomatic bridges. Villages like the Cloud Village are ambitious. The Raikage, for instance, has hinted at wanting closer relations with us."

The Hokage's eyes lit up. "Closer relations? That could mean an alliance!"

Shinki quickly doused the spark of excitement. "Don't get carried away. An alliance with the Cloud Village could destabilize the balance of the ninja world. If we align with them, the Rock and Mist Villages will feel threatened, possibly leading to a war. And let's be honest—can Konoha handle another war right now?"

The Hokage sighed heavily. Shinki was right. Forming alliances in the current climate required careful consideration.

Trust No One

Shinki continued, his tone sharp. "At the end of the day, alliances are fragile. As history has shown, Konoha can only truly rely on itself. Allies might seem useful, but they often drag you into conflicts."

He didn't mince words. "The Raikage is ambitious and warlike. If we align with him and the Cloud Village starts a war, Konoha will inevitably be pulled in."

The Hokage nodded reluctantly. "What about the Rock Village?"

"They're a safer option," Shinki admitted. "The Rock Village is poor and would welcome Konoha's support. Helping them could cement a stronger relationship, which might reduce the overall threat to Konoha. But even that comes at a cost—alliances always do."

The Hokage exhaled deeply. "I understand. We need to tread carefully."

The Inner Circle Meeting

After Shinki left, the Hokage summoned Mitokado Homura, Utatane Koharu, and Shimura Danzo for a closed-door meeting. The urgency of the topic warranted the presence of all key advisors, even Danzo, who had been working more from the shadows lately.

The Hokage wasted no time. "Shinki has proposed selling the perfect Jinchūriki information to interested villages. He believes it won't compromise Konoha but will provide us with valuable resources and strategic leverage."

Mitokado Homura raised an eyebrow. "Did Shinki really say that?"

The Hokage's lips twitched. "Yes, those were his exact words."

Homura nodded. "If Shinki, the foremost authority on perfect Jinchūriki, supports this, I see no reason to oppose it."

Utatane Koharu agreed. "Selling the information is a pragmatic decision. The village needs resources, and our advantage won't diminish as long as the process still requires innate talent."

Danzo, ever the opportunist, interjected. "This could also serve as a means to sow discord. Providing selective information to destabilize certain villages could be beneficial."

The Hokage frowned. "We're not aiming to destabilize anyone. The goal is to strengthen Konoha, not create unnecessary conflict."

Danzo remained silent, though the glint in his eye suggested he had his own thoughts on how to use the situation to his advantage.
