Chapter 375: Chapter 375: To Become a Perfect Jinchūriki, One Needs Talent!
As the puppet ascended into the sky and left the Mist Village behind, Uchiha Mikoto, Kushina, and Hyuga Mehu finally exhaled in relief. The oppressive atmosphere of the village was gone.
Interestingly, they were not attacked during their departure.
"This village is so strange," Mikoto muttered, still processing the events.
"Compared to them, Konoha feels like heaven—less chaos, fewer fights," she added.
Kushina scoffed. "That's only because Konoha doesn't let troublemakers cause problems for long. They get stomped out."
She hadn't forgotten how Shimura Danzo once targeted her.
Shinki chuckled at their conversation. "Every village has its share of trouble. Mist Village is chaotic because it was built as a coalition of various ninja families and civilians seeking survival. Konoha, on the other hand, was born from an alliance between Senju and Uchiha—a foundation aimed at ending conflict."
He continued, "The difference is structural. Mist Village is a patchwork, while Konoha has a unifying philosophy. And don't forget, each generation of Kage in Konoha has actively worked to prevent any one family from dominating the village."
Konoha's Founding and the Senju Sacrifice
Shinki elaborated further as the group flew. "After Konoha was established, Uchiha was entrusted with the police department, a role that didn't endear them to others. Meanwhile, Tobirama Senju took it upon himself to dissolve the power of the Senju clan by dispersing them into civilian life."
Kushina nodded, recalling some of these details from Uzumaki Mito's stories. "So, Senju broke itself apart for the sake of the village?"
Shinki nodded. "Exactly. Tobirama's move was bold and self-sacrificial. He ensured the stability of the village by preventing any perception that the Senju were monopolizing power. That's why Konoha has maintained balance, while Mist Village's infighting persists."
Mehu hesitantly raised her hand. "What about the Hyuga clan? We're also a big family."
Shinki sighed. "The Hyuga clan has strength, but as long as power remains in the hands of the passive main family, the clan will never reach its potential. The elders' unwillingness to act ensures that the Hyuga are rarely at the forefront."
Mehu blushed, realizing the implied critique wasn't directed at her personally but at the clan's leadership. Shinki reassured her, "Don't take it personally. You're not the problem—it's the system within your clan."
Back in Konoha
After a smooth journey, the group finally returned to Konoha. They rested briefly before Shinki guided the puppet to land outside the village gates. Rather than attract unnecessary attention, he chose to walk through the gates with the three girls.
"Home at last," Kushina sighed, stretching.
"You go home and rest," Shinki said, waving them off. "I'll report to the Hokage."
The girls headed to their homes while Shinki made his way to the Hokage's office. After knocking, he stepped inside and greeted the Third Hokage, who was seated at his desk.
"Back so soon?" the Third Hokage asked casually.
Shinki flopped onto the sofa. "Finally back. It was an interesting trip."
The Hokage smirked. "You mean 'mission,' don't you?"
Shinki laughed but didn't argue. Everyone knew his journey had been more exploratory than official. He leaned back and said, "During my travels, I visited the Cloud, Rock, Sand, and Mist Villages. All of them are interested in our perfect Jinchūriki process."
The Third Hokage frowned. "Are you suggesting we sell the information?"
"Why not?" Shinki replied smoothly. "Even with the information, only talented individuals can succeed as perfect Jinchūriki. Those without talent won't be able to achieve it, no matter how hard they try."
The Talent Factor
The Third Hokage leaned forward, his brow furrowed. "Are you implying that other villages already have perfect Jinchūriki?"
Shinki nodded. "The Cloud Village's Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer Bee, is a prime example. He's... eccentric, but his synchronization with the Eight-Tails is remarkable. In the Mist Village, Yagura has achieved perfect control over the Three-Tails, thanks in part to the secret techniques of his clan."
"And what of the Rock and Sand Villages?" the Hokage asked.
"Even if we handed them the information, it wouldn't matter," Shinki said confidently. "They lack individuals with the necessary talent or compatibility. Perfect Jinchūriki aren't made through information alone—it requires innate ability."
Selling the Secrets
The Hokage considered Shinki's words carefully. The idea of selling the process seemed risky, but Shinki's logic was sound. Providing the information wouldn't guarantee success for their rivals, but it would bring valuable resources to Konoha.
After a long pause, the Hokage nodded. "Very well. If we can ensure that it doesn't compromise our security, I'll consider it."
Shinki smiled, satisfied with the response. "That's all I ask. The information will spread eventually, but we can control how and when it happens—and profit from it in the process."
