Chapter 366: Chapter 366: Kushina Lets Herself Go

The situation surrounding Jinchūriki was no trivial matter. In the world of ninja villages, intelligence regarding Jinchūriki was a precious commodity, one worth any price—even for Iwa Ninja Village, notorious for its resource constraints.

For Iwa, ensuring that such information did not fall into the hands of others—especially Cloud Ninja Village—was imperative. The mere thought of Cloud producing one or two perfect Jinchūriki would spell catastrophe for Iwa. The rivalry was palpable, with the Third Raikage's persistent attempts to dominate Iwa Village being a constant source of frustration for Ōnoki.

"Hmph, don't let me get the chance; otherwise, you'll regret it!" Ōnoki muttered to himself, his hatred for the Third Raikage rivaling even that for Uchiha Madara. To place the Third Raikage in the same echelon as Madara spoke volumes about his animosity.

As the group departed Iwa Ninja Village, traveling westward on the back of a puppet, they soon entered the vast, arid realm of the Land of Wind. Yellow sand stretched endlessly, the golden desert shimmering under the scorching sun. For Kushina, Uchiha Mikoto, and Hyuga Mehu, the stark contrast to Iwa's barren, rocky terrain was mesmerizing.

Compared to the monotonous gray of the Land of Earth, the vibrant, shifting dunes of the desert were enchanting—even if the heat was unbearable and the environment harsh. The allure of the desert was undeniable.

"It's breathtaking," Mikoto remarked as she gazed at the boundless horizon.

Shinki, too, found the change refreshing. Days of staring at bleak rock formations had left him longing for a more dynamic landscape. He couldn't help but appreciate the desert's unique beauty.

Setting Up Camp

After traveling deep into the desert, Shinki ordered the puppet to stop and handed a sealing scroll to Uchiha Mikoto. "Set up the tents. I need to pay a visit to our host."

With Kushina's prowess as a perfect Jinchūriki, Shinki was confident in the safety of the three girls. Uchiha Mikoto, a prodigy recognized by her clan, and Hyuga Mehu, with her Byakugan, were formidable as well. Together, their teamwork was efficient: Mehu would scout, Mikoto would support, and Kushina—well, she would annihilate anything in their path.

In the entire Land of Wind, not even the Third Kazekage could halt Kushina's rampage. The full power of her perfect Jinchūriki status, combined with her Uzumaki lineage and control over the Nine Tails, made her a force unlike any other.

Shinki intended to approach Sand Ninja Village diplomatically to avoid unnecessary conflict. Flying ahead on the puppet, he encountered a Sand Ninja patrol team.

Diplomatic Visit

The Sand Ninja patrol team, recognizing the giant eagle puppet descending from the sky, maintained a respectful stance. Konoha and Sand had recently forged an alliance, and the Third Kazekage had explicitly instructed his subordinates to treat Shinki with respect.

"Sir, are you on a mission?" the patrol leader inquired cautiously.

Shinki shook his head. "No mission. I'm here as a private traveler. Let the Kazekage know I'll visit Sand Ninja Village in a few days. No need for alarm."

"Understood!" The patrol team quickly dispersed to deliver the message, relieved that no conflict was imminent.

Kushina Unleashed

Returning to camp, Shinki was greeted by the sight of Kushina running wildly through the sand, her red hair trailing behind her like flames. "Hahaha, this is amazing! Sister Mikoto, Mehu, come join me!" she called out gleefully.

Mikoto, smiling, indulged in Kushina's enthusiasm, while Hyuga Mehu remained seated in the shade of the tent. The Byakugan user wasn't one for wild antics under the blazing sun.

Inside the sealed space, Kurama—the Nine Tails—sighed deeply as he observed Kushina's antics. "What did I do to deserve such a childish Jinchūriki?" he muttered, shaking his head. Deciding it wasn't worth the effort to complain, he retreated into slumber.

Freedom in the Desert

Shinki returned to find Kushina rolling in the sand, her laughter filling the air. His initial reaction was one of disbelief, but he quickly understood. This was Kushina's first time leaving Konoha, her first time experiencing the world beyond the confines of duty and responsibility.

Kushina had spent her childhood in the Land of Whirlpools, never venturing beyond its borders until the Uzumaki clan's tragic fall brought her to Konoha. Since then, her life had been one of confinement, her movements restricted for safety. Now, faced with the vast expanse of the ninja world, her youthful exuberance was bound to burst forth.

Even Uchiha Mikoto seemed to relish the newfound freedom, though Hyuga Mehu maintained her composed demeanor, sitting quietly in the tent.

"Not joining them?" Shinki asked, noticing her restraint.

Mehu smiled politely. "I'll pass."

Shinki nodded. He understood her reserved nature and let her be. As Kushina's laughter echoed across the desert, the group settled into the rhythm of their journey, cherishing this rare moment of peace in a tumultuous world.
