Naruto: Dual-Pupil Uchiha

"Is something wrong?"

Uchiha Fugaku furrowed his brows when he saw his son, Uchiha Itachi, in his current state. Itachi had never shown such a lapse in composure before. Something must have happened.

"Yes, something is wrong!" Uchiha Itachi said, still looking emotionless and calm, staring at Fugaku.

Uchiha Fugaku's frown deepened, and a feeling of unease rose in his heart. Something felt off, and he couldn't shake the feeling.

"Sasuke, go rest. I need to talk to your brother," Fugaku said, without waiting for Sasuke's response. He led Itachi directly to his study.

Once they were seated, Fugaku looked at his still-standing son and finally asked, "Tell me, what happened?"

Fugaku's unease grew stronger as he looked at Itachi, who seemed to be in a state of numbness. His gut told him this was serious, but he almost didn't want to hear the truth.

But his instincts told him it was important.

"Itachi," Fugaku said gently, "please, tell me."

"Itachi took a deep breath and finally spoke the words that made Fugaku's blood run cold.

"Shisui... committed suicide."

Fugaku froze. His eyes widened, and his face filled with disbelief.

"What? Shisui... killed himself?" Fugaku stood up quickly, staring at Itachi, his voice shaking. "Itachi, what did you just say? I didn't hear you clearly!"

He couldn't believe it. Shisui was one of the greatest talents of the Uchiha clan, and he had even awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. His future was limitless. How could he commit suicide?

No, it must be a mistake! He couldn't have heard that right.

"Itachi, repeat yourself. What did you say?"

"Shisui was outside of Konoha, he destroyed his own eyes and jumped off a cliff to his death," Itachi said quietly, repeating the devastating news, this time with the weight of truth behind it.

He then handed over the scroll Shisui had left behind.

It was Shisui's suicide note.

Itachi had already read it on the way here.

The note didn't mention anything about Danzo pursuing Shisui. Instead, Shisui explained that he had been raised by the village and the clan, and now the clan wanted him to act against the village. 

Torn between these two loyalties, he could no longer bear the burden. In the end, he chose to take his own life so that neither the village nor the clan would be betrayed.

The letter was short, but it clearly conveyed Shisui's deep inner conflict.

"Suicide? Shisui... of the Uchiha clan... chose to kill himself for the village?" Fugaku stared at Itachi, his face filled with confusion and anger.

Shisui's death had a massive impact on Fugaku's plans.

This rebellion may now be delayed.

But what angered Fugaku most was that Shisui had chosen to die for the village.

Fugaku felt betrayed. How could Shisui, someone from their own clan, choose such an end for the sake of the village?

When he committed suicide, did he not think about the Uchiha clan?

He tightly gripped Shisui's letter, as if trying to crush it!

From today, the Uchiha clan has lost a major strength!

Suddenly,

Uchiha Fugaku seemed to remember something and looked at Itachi. "When Shisui jumped off the cliff, were you by his side?"

Itachi nodded.

Fugaku continued, "When you saw Shisui jump off the cliff, did your eyes change?"

"Change? You mean like this?" Uchiha Itachi looked up at Fugaku, and his eyes spun with the Sharingan, eventually forming the pattern of the Mangekyō Sharingan!

The pattern was clearly reflected in Fugaku's eyes.

On Fugaku's disappointed face, a smile appeared. "Haha, before Shisui died, he still left us a treasure!"

Although Shisui was dead, Itachi had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan because of it!

Haha, it could even be said that they had gained something from tragedy. Now, with two Mangekyō Sharingan in their family, they had enough power to change the situation in Konoha!

Compared to Shisui, an outsider, Fugaku trusted his own son, Itachi, more!

With Itachi's help, the coup would be even more secure!

"Good," Fugaku muttered to himself before looking at Itachi. "Your Mangekyō Sharingan is still not very familiar to you. You need to practice more and get used to your power!"

At that moment, Fugaku's emotions were like a rollercoaster. He had first fallen from a cliff to the bottom, but now, he had soared from the bottom to the sky!

"I will train hard!" Itachi nodded.

"No, Shisui's death must be reported to the clan, and the timing of the coup needs to be changed!" Fugaku's mood calmed for a moment before he looked at Itachi. "Go notify the others, and have our people head to the cNaka Shrine."

Fugaku originally planned to have Itachi do the notifying, but seeing Itachi's current state, he changed his mind. "No, I'll go. You wait at the Naka Shrine."

With that, he left.

As the clan leader, Fugaku only needed to find two people, and someone would help spread the word!

The genius of the Uchiha clan had fallen...

After some thought, Fugaku decided to send someone to notify Kinya and Uchiha Shin.

They needed to know about Shisui's fall!

"Where is this?"

In the underground laboratory of the Uchiha Hospital in Konoha, after avoiding all prying eyes, Genya brought Uchiha Shisui to a secret room in the hospital!

At this moment, Shisui's face still showed signs of confusion!

Having lost his eyes, he wasn't sure where he was, but he could faintly sense that the place was a bit damp. 

It seemed like a hidden location!

He never expected that Genya would still dare to bring him back to Konoha! 

"Uchiha Hospital, a very safe place!" Genya answered with a smile.

However, when they saw who Genya was carrying on his back, their eyes were filled with surprise!

Shisui was on the brink of death, so immediate treatment was needed!

Hearing Genya's words, the researchers quickly gathered around to examine Shisui's injuries and began to treat him.

But, 

They vaguely felt something was wrong!

"Genya-sama, this person seems to have been poisoned. The toxin is slowly eroding his life force!" 

Although the medical staff was skilled, they were a bit helpless:

"The poisoning has been going on for a while now. It's likely only Hikari-sama can suppress the toxin's effects!"

Having spent time with Hikari, these medical ninjas were aware of her extraordinary talent in medical ninjutsu.

Now, only Hikari could heal him.

"Hikari, huh? You all start treating him. I'll go find Hikari!" 

After saying that, Genya didn't linger and quickly headed off to find her!

When Genya arrived home, Uchiha Kinya and Uchiha Shin had just received word from Fugaku's messenger, instructing them to go to the Naka Shrine! 

The two of them had a vague sense that something wasn't right!
