Chapter 181: [Bonus chapter]Darkness swirling
"So now it is clear that we will not be having any wastage of the meat, the shelves that are filled have to stay like that but what about the other stuff?"
"After the meat, I would say the bones and other parts is in the highest amount."
"Not the leather?"
"Leather is high in quantity, higher than all the other stuff other than the meat but it can be packed in one place and stacked with hundreds of them on the shelves so there is not much worry about them. But the bones, teeth, and claws are the ones making things disorganized to be exact."
Haley stopped and kept looking at Lucas who in turn looked at her for more explanation, she just sighed and continued.
"Let's take the teeth for example, there are thousands of them in the storage right now, taking less space than the number suggests but still enough. We first kept the teeth in accord with the monster, if one stack is of Basilon teeth, then that stack will only include the Basiloon teeth. But with time, it became difficult to organize them so we just kept them all in one place, sorry Lucas…"
"Haaahh… I think you people don't understand the motive of this meeting, we are not here to talk about 'organizing', no. We are here to converse about what we can get other than this stuff from our trades. We have to think differently and something that can help us in the long or short term."
"Isn't the mana stones enough as an exchange, we need it for the shelter upgrade anyway."
"Good idea, but we already have enough for this next upgrade, we already have more than what we want for this last upgrade."
"Oh? For starters, I don't think you have told us the requirements this time… I forgot about it completely."
"Let me confirm them quick."
Lucas went to the same old blue dot that only he could look at, many were envious because of this as even they wanted to look at the majestic upgrade requirements.

Lucas was flabbergasted yet again.
'Even I forgot to check the upgrade but gosh, they are complicated this time…'
"Oh, it seems easy enough. The wood part is done, the stones are also completed, and the plant fiber is done. Water 1000 liters, Mana stones done… 100 kg sand and 100 metal bricks…" Lucas said the last part with a mutter yet not a single person in that room not hear it.
"Metal? Not ore?" John had a pale expression while asking and Lucas could relate with just a nod.
"What's wrong with metal, dad?" Barney and many had no idea as to what it meant to make or get metal.
"Well, for ore, we could have just found it inside the ground or somewhere which we didn't by the way, but for the metal, we have to process the ore to a metal."
"Can't we do it easily, I mean we got this facility, the shelter, so much space, and even Uncle Daryl can help."
"Sigh… Barney, you think it is easy but it isn't. In this age and time, most of the metal is made in big machines and with the use of a lot of chemicals. We don't have any of that and even if I may know about some primitive techniques, but I am no expert. It is going to be tough this time around."
Everyone fell silent, thinking about what John said. Yes, they didn't know how to make it even in the old world yet the thought of doing this without the equipment that most of them know about made them think about it much more deeply.
"But we have to do something, we only have 2 months left and it's not enough already."
"ITS ENOUGH…"
Everyone looked toward the voice, their eyes fell on Lucas whose eyes were wide open as darkness swirled inside it.
"Ah shit, not again." Sean got up and went to the corner wall away from Lucas.
Sarah couldn't take her eyes away from Lucas, he looked too dangerous right now.
Nothing had changed, his face was the same, his body the same, it was only his eyes that had changed. The pupils were pitch black and many could swear they could observe the darkness move around.
"THE TIME… ITS ENOUGH, RIGHT?" Lucas asked, his voice chilling than before.
John felt something was really wrong when his eye fell on Lucas's arm sleeve. It was bloodied as if an old would had opened.
"Ella, use your healing on him."
John looked at Ella who had already made a ball of healing in her hand. Lucas eyed that ball with threat but something in him got attracted toward it. It was as if the healing ball was like an anchor for him to come back.
Lucas gritted his teeth and nodded toward Ella who had made a healing ball bigger than ever.
She threw it toward Lucas who was only a few steps away.
The impact of hitting wasn't any dramatic, the whole ball of healing was absorbed by Lucas's body.
Soon, an expression of relief could be seen in Lucas's eyes.
"Thank you." Lucas huffed in exhaustion as if his mental energy was all sucked dry.
"… No problem."
Lucas looked at John who had a serious expression on his face. Lucas could tell that John had something to say.
