Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 177: Strength Rune

"Did you all feel any changes in your skill here?"

"Yeah" Barney was the first to answer as he continued, "All the shovels took about 30 seconds each to fix. Even the sword you gave me increased by one point of durability in only 5 minutes. And status is showing an increase of 50% in proficiencies!"

Lucas only nodded with a smile, now that they had such a 'factory' for production.

It was now even more fun to work as from the outside world, the proficiency was 50% higher in the basement which made them work with knowledge, sense, and perception of their trades that they shouldn't have gotten in even 5 days of intense progression.

Lucas was sure that he could get better insights for formulas and build them from scratch here.

"What about you, Sean?"

Lucas asked while looking at the guy who had his hand at the back.

"Me? Look at this?"

Sean had the cheekiest grin on his way as he showed them all what he had behind his hands.

There was a rock in his hand that had various scribbles of unknown characters and wording on it that Lucas didn't quite understand.

Soon, the stone started glowing, in detail, the wording on the stone started shining in white which surprised Lucas. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire

It was not the same as the first time he saw something like this, previously, it only glowed lightly until it stopped after a few seconds yet this time, the rune was activated all the way.

"What does it do?"

"Watch" Sean said instantly and after looking at the stone with glowing words on it for a second, he tilted his palm which made the rock fall to the ground.

Lucas at that moment saw that they were standing on one of the places where the floor was made of metal, the one out of many still not-used areas that could be used in making a workstation.

CLANK

The stone hit the metal making an iron hitting a hard surface sound, Lucas and the others looked at it with interest yet Sean only smiled as if he already knew what was going to happen.

PHUUUSHHH

"What?"

The rock that was illuminated started making a leaking sound making others wonder if it had something inside it.

IN Lucas's knowledge, he knew that the rock was an ordinary one, made from dirt and processes throughout millions of years like usual on Earth, nothing special. He knew there was nothing inside the rock yet it was still starting leaking something that bewildered him beyond normal.

The rock had started emitting a dark smoke, it looked to have many colors integrated into it.

Especially green but the smoke was so dark, that it didn't matter.

Soon, Lucas lost his vision of the rock as it was fully covered with smoke that kept on increasing and coming up.

It seemed dense as it traveled slowly toward all the other directions too.

"Sean, explain yourself." John asked with calm while looking at the ever-increasing smoke.

"Hahahaha! Behold a smoke bomb! It has a range of 3 meters and the smoke cannot be peered through!"

Lucas looked at the smoke with a small smile, this was a product that could make them even more rich in comparison to meat and resources.

"Are you sure it's not poisonous?" Barney asked while covering his nose and mouth in fear that the smoke could be poisonous.

The greenish color that could be seen if noticed clearly did not make their hearts any more calm.

"Do you think I will put poison in front of you all without checking?"

"Answer his question, Sean." John snarled in response not believing the instincts of safety from his son.

"Ugh, fine! It has a status, you can all look at it after the smoke dissipates."

"How long would that take?"

"How would I know? it's new or me too!"

Lucas felt grumpy as he looked at Sean, while a smoke bomb was something that he respected Sean to have made.

He still needed to know whether it was poisonous or not.

"… Uncle John."

"I'm on it."

Sean looked at his father and Lucas with confusion as to what they were cooking without him knowing even when he was standing only a few steps from them.

John moved his hand which made some small winds cater to his command. Lucas saw the winds that even passed near his face and travel toward the smoke and enter it.

"Hm?"

"What is it?"

"The smoke is thicker than I thought… how do you say it will dissipate, Sean?"

"I just read in the description that it will dissipate, nothing more or how it will be done."

"Damn it, Sean! You could have shown us the description rather actually using it here!"

"Hmph! I hear everyone complaining but where is the praise?!"

"Alright, everyone." John said while violent winds generated from nowhere in a calm basement hit everyone's faces making them stop speaking out of courtesy.

"Calm down." John made those violent winds that could now be seen clearly move toward the smoke that didn't seem to dissipate anytime soon.

Soon, the smoke started stirring and vanishing in seconds making the floor clear again.

Lucas could now see the rock again which did not seem to dissipate any more smoke out of it.

He got down first and checked if it was okay to pick it up by pricking his finger at it and when he deemed it safe, he picked the dim rock from the ground.

——

Low-level smoke bomb

Uncommon

A smoke bomb made from some basic runic scriptures mixed together to get a random result from a rookie runemaster. The use of the exterior environment support has made the smoke bomb increase to a full grade. It can be used 3 times before returning to a below extremely common quality rock again. In order to make the smoke bomb activate, the user has to imbue it with adequate points of mana.

——

Lucas looked at the description and with shock gave it to John who himself saw the description.

John, satisfied with the assessment, turned to Sean. "Alright, it seems you've stumbled upon something valuable."

"Stumble? For your information, I did not 'stumble' upon it. I made it from scratch on my own!"
