Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 174: The new basement! (1)

Lucas reigned his anger in and went down to the end of the stairs.

John was with him and soon they finally reached down, Lucas looked at the spacious room with surprise and vigilance.

It was a big basement of sorts with torches on the walls just like how they saw in the dungeon.

The ceiling was high, about 10 feet above and there seemed to be pores on these walls that Lucas didn't understand.

"What is this place?" Lucas said aloud.

He was pretty late in doing so as he could have known about it all the way before he came down.

-----

Workstation

+50% in manufacturing and production skills

+20% precision

The workstation is a big room that has some special properties inside the shelter. It can help increase the proficiency of any manufacturing skill the user inside teh workstation has and also increases the precision which increases the quality of the item. With each level up of the shelter, the proficiency increase stats will also increase.

-----

"Damn..."

Lucas had no idea that such a thing was seven possible.

"What is it?"

"The upgrades are too random..."

"Do you know what this area does? Is it like another living or storage space?" John asked clearly annoyed that Lucas had not shared the details till now.

"It's a workstation, just like the one I made above but it gives proficiency increase. Don't you feel enlightened or something in here?" Lucas asked in curiosity while looking at the empty room.

"Uhh... I don't know. I think I got no enlightenment here. What about you?"

"... Me neither."

"But I know that If you make things here, where your precision and skill proficiency are increased by 20% and 50% respectively. The quality of the bi-product will increase."

"If that is the case, then we really hit a gem mine this time huh..."

"We are coming down!"

Lucas heard a feminine voice which was hard to perceive as Haley, Sandra, and Sarah's voices were pretty same and the echo didn't help much either.

After a few minutes of vigilant and slow travel, every person that lived inside the shelter was inside the big workshop which was about 10 meters in all directions.

Lucas explained to everyone what it was and some even got the same description after asking what it all was. The descriptions were pretty random but it was not the content Lucas wanted to talk or think about for now.

He wanted to explore this new place better so he traveled further in the normal-sized room.

"Oh! I think I know where all that ore went!"

"Where?" Lucas came briskly toward Haley who waited for him patiently with a dazzling smile.

"Here"

Lucas saw the girl point toward teh corner of the room. Lucas went there and saw that it really was different other than the stone and wooden walls.

Lucas touched the ground and he could feel the cold sensation of the metal on the ground.

"What's it used for?" He asked with confusion thinking that it was wasted in a place like this.

"It's at every corner and in the middle of every wall. I think you can put the machinery of any kind in these square and rectangular layouts."

"How do you know this?" Lucas at first was skeptical about the information but it actually made sense.

"My brother worked in a factory where I used to go many times a week to meet him. I picked some random knowledge here and there." Haley said with no sadness on her face.

She was actually curling a flick of her hair near her face in a feminine manner which made Lucas reluctantly observe her do so.

"Lucas~ What are we going to do here now?" Another female voice came from the side where he felt a nudge, Lucas looked at Sarah who was over friendlier than before.

"I guess we can shift everyone's work equipment here so that we can grow accustomed to this place and actually know what it can offer us while making stuff."

"Hmm, sounds good. Should we do it now?" He heard another nudge on the other shoulder where the other girl, Sandra was present.

'What the hell?' Lucas was confused yet again, he could feel that Sandra was being genuine with him but she being this friendly only meant that she was in her playful mood.

"What's with this power struggle, brother?" Barney asked in a whisper to his brother while they both watched the three girls poking their fingers at Lucas's shoulder or talking with him while laughing and being cute.

"It just means that we have to try our luck too, brother. Pick one and come."

"W-What?" Barney asked Sean who had started walking toward the youthful group.

"Hey Hey! Do you ladies want to help me bring my workshop here? It's too much work for me alone~"

Jerry from the back averted his gaze from the scene getting cringed out from that line.

'Is this what this bastard thinks flirting is like?'

"I can't right now, ask someone else."

"Don't bother me."

"Sean, I will come help you later if you like."

Sean looked at the blunt expression of the two girls and the pitiful one of the other and felt like he was done wrong.

Barney moved toward his family when he saw this situation thinking that he would get an even worse reaction than his brother.

"You all are annoying me. Let me do my work."

Seana and Barney looked at the guy with a dumbfounded expression with their mouths agape.

They tried to get along with the girls and while the girls were getting along Lucas, he didn't care? Preposterous!

"Don't be like that, we came to help you." Haley said with her plastered smile again.

Now Lucas was feeling even more annoyed.

'This isn't about me, it's about them fighting!' He used his brain and got 20% of the whole situation.

Even that made him proud thinking that he was now good at expressing and finding the right emotions in the others.

"Do whatever you want. Just let time think in peace."

The three girls were getting confused as to why he didn't want to talk to them and it only driver them more insane which made them want to pursue him further.
