Chapter 27: Chapter 27
{A/N: I lost my inspiration, I've been trying for days to write the next chapter but can't. I'm not going to drop this story but it might take me a while to update it again, sorry about this.}
1st Pov
Exploding in a burst of divine lightning all Thor's injuries instantly heal and, once the lightning clears he is standing on his feet donning his battle armour with Mjolnir in his hand.
Realising the situation, he got himself in Loki attempts to retreat by summoning the Bifrost, shouting to the sky Heimdall quickly responds and activates the Bifrost on top of Loki. Seeing his brother escaping Thor quickly dashes into the Bifrost.
Not wanting to miss out on this I quickly open a portal to Asgard and step through, on the other side I'm greeted by a shocked Heimdall buried up to his waist in ice and holding onto the sword in the bridges console.
Waving at him I awkwardly stand there waiting for Loki and Thor to arrive, after a few seconds Loki pops out of the Bifrost followed shortly by Thor.
Seeing me already here Loki blanches and looks to Heimdall, not one to go down easy Loki draws a dagger and lunges at me. Catching his wrist when he gets in range I lift him into the air.
Quickly smacking Loki across the face, I hold him like a pinata as I look blankly in his eyes.
"Aren't you meant to be a sorcerer? You're acting more like a Brit going around trying to shank people." – Morgan
Shaking Loki a bit I look to Thor who is watching from the side whilst looking confused. Seeing a good opportunity, I walk over to Thor and pass him Loki like he's a baton in a relay race.
"I'm happy now, I've beat him up enough to learn. Your turn now." – Morgan
Motioning to the bleeding cheek wound on Loki's face where my claws cut him I shrug a bit before opting to look around.
Moving to the edge of the building I gaze out at the edge of the flat planet, watching water fall infinitely off the edge makes me wonder where all the water comes from. Using my specialised vision, I notice the massive amounts of energy travelling through the ground.
Gazing outwards towards the city I notice all the energy funnelling towards the large central spire where it shoots up into the sky as a beam of energy. At the top of its arc the beam looks as if it hit a bowl and begins to spread out into a dome that becomes too faint to easily notice.
Looking away from the massive energy dome I quickly glance back at Thor and Loki just to see the two arguing, off to the side Heimdall looks constipated as he's stuck between their fight. Quickly defrosting the ice around his legs, he shoots me a grateful look before stepping away.
Back in the city I notice a bunch of people moving around the streets lined entirely by houses made of pure gold. Snorting I'm tempted to rob the entirety of Asgard but remember deciding not to add raw elements to my hoard.
Thinking of my hoard or lack there of I remember Odin is meant to have a treasure vault somewhere, scanning the city I quickly find a few points of note. The first of which appears to be Odin who's sleeping in the palace, next is an unknown race making their way towards the palace.
Finally, I find the vaults under the castle, checking around to see if anyone's watching me it doesn't seem they are so I begin walking away.
As I walk I use my ability to manipulate space to make every step cover the distance of ten, continuing my brisk walk nobody stops me as I walk through the city.
Arriving at the palace gates I find the guards bleeding out on the ground, pausing for a second I quickly patch them up before continuing.
As I make my way through the palace I walk unrestrained passed maids, servants, and guards alike. Eventually I get to a point where I have to pass Odin's chambers and decide to pop in for a visit.
Phasing through the locked door I'm greeted by the sight of four large blue and incredibly ugly men poking a sleeping old man. Staring blankly for a few seconds I grab out an old school camera and click a photo.
Hearing the camera's click all four of the blue men each over four metres tall turn to me, I at this moment am holding the developing photo in one hand with the camera in the other.
Feeling the mood get tense I decide to crack a joke.
"Are you guys part of the Blue Man Group? They're pretty good you know." – Morgan
Obviously insulted one of the frost giants lunges for me, not wanting to let him touch me as he looks disgusting I create a shredder using space with an enhanced suction force.
Unable to stop in time the lunging frost giant gets sucked into the rapidly spinning distortion in space, twisting and snapping his body comes apart in a bloodless murder.
Dissipating the blender the still living frost giant falls to the ground as a pile of mince, wincing slightly I was expecting it to kill him, looking at the three other frost giants staring in horror at their mutilated companion I gently tip over the closest candelabra to end the first's misery.
It doesn't seem to work though as I can feel the pain radiating off the pile of mince that was once a frost giant. Sighing I use my pyrokinesis to rapidly expand the fire and burn the frost giant to a crisp.
Now I'm standing awkwardly in a silent standoff against the three frost giants, but without warning Thor and Loki come crashing through the wall behind the frost giants and the two way standoff turns into a weird three way standoff.
Being the smartest being in the room I decide quickly I don't like being in the room because it's too awkward and phase through the floor.
As I sink through the floor I'm able to catch the sound of Thor shouting at me to stop. Ignoring Thor I continue to phase and sink deeper and deeper.
After a few seconds I phase through a particularly hard material and end up at my destination, Odin's vault, looking around the jewel filled vault my inner kleptomaniac screams to be released.
Holding back the urge to steal all of Odin's riches I instead chose to take my pick from his pile, grabbing intricate jewels and magically enchanted trinkets I quickly skim the best stuff off the top of Odin's stash.
Moving out of the room I move into a long hallway decorated in gold with some particularly nice trinkets displayed on stands.
Grabbing any items that peak my fancy I quickly amass a small collection. Starting with the Casket of Ancient Winters I throw it in my inventory, it shows again this universe doesn't entirely follow the cinematic universe as there Loki had already grabbed the Casket of Ancient Winters by now.
Shrugging it off I continue to the next object, this object was called the Tablet of Life and Time and contained the recipe for immortality, this could be useful for Jean if she wants it.
Throwing it in my inventory I continue my kleptomaniac spree and turn to the final object that caught my attention. Moving up to the Eternal Flame I look it over, weirdly I can feel a mind within the fire that feels similar to a bird.
Curious I gently feed a bit of my energy to the flame feeling the mind grow stronger I continue to feed the flame, as I feed it I can feel a connection forming between me and the fire as it seems to connect to my hive mind.
Carefully controlling the connection, I feel I have full control of it, but at the same time it has its own thoughts. Intrigued by this new and interesting feeling I continue to feed the flame. Finally, after feeding over two hundred thousand points of energy to the flame, it flashes brightly.
When the light burns down I can see a small bird made entirely of fire resting within the brazier, testing the new connection to my hive mind I gently wake the bird.
Waking up the bird chirps a few times before standing still, looking closer at the bird it closely resembles a raven in shape. As for its colour it is entirely made of light blue flames everywhere but its eyes and claws.
It's eyes and claws both seem to be made of my energy and are a crimson and purple colour. Picking up the bird I admire the detail of it's body, despite being entirely made of flames the bird looks like a solid object and has the same detail as a real bird.
Placing the bird on my shoulder I try to think of a name but can't decide one at the moment, leaving it be I decide to get Jean's input for its name.
In the meantime, I phase out of the vault and head back to Odin's chamber, appearing through the floor Thor is still fighting the frost giants.
Loki on the other hand is knocked out in a corner, baffled I can't wrap my head around how someone with enough power to destroy a planet is struggling with enemies that are barely strong enough to destroy a thick wall.
Locking the space around the frost giants they all freeze in place, then using my psionics I wake Loki, I also scan a copy of all his knowledge on magic.
Finally noticing me the battle crazed Thor attempts to hit me with Mjolnir, freezing Thor in mid air I check over Mjolnir. Mjolnir looks far happier now that it's back in Thor's hand but that seal is really annoying for me.
Dodging a dagger, I sigh and turn around to Loki, freezing him as well I can only deadpan at his choice of actions. Moving all the frozen people to the side of the room I sigh and play with the bird on my shoulder.
"What do I do with all of you?" – Morgan
Unfreezing Thor's mouth I see if he has anything productive to say.
"Release me dragon woman and fight me like a warrior!" – Thor
Sighing again I freeze Thor's mouth, moving on next to Loki I unfreeze him.
"Un hand me dirty beast, I am the king of Asgard!" – Loki
Seeing he's not going to be much help either I turn to the final group and unfreeze their mouths.
"Beast! What is the meaning of this?!? I am Laufey king of the frost giants release me this instant or I will have your head!!" – Laufey
Groaning all of them seem to be self-entitled idiots, pondering what to do with them I'm interrupted when another person bursts through the locked door. Looking around the woman notices me and my temporary prisoners.
Raising her hands I beat her to whatever she wanted to do and freeze her below the neck.
"Hello new person, who might you be?" – Morgan
Speaking in a regal and strong tone the woman quickly answers my question.
"I am Freya, Queen of Asgard and wife to Odin." – Freya
"Are you going to attack me if I release you or will you hear me out?" – Morgan
"I shall hear you out dragon" – Freya
Getting slightly annoyed at everyone calling me either beast or dragon I decide to clear it up.
"Just call me Morgana, I'm only part dragon 'the other parts are arguably more dangerous though'" – Morgan
Thinking the second half of that sentence in my head I release Freya. Once released Freya quickly shakes her shoulders before composing herself. Seeing she is actually willing to listen I unfreeze my other prisoner's mouths so we can get everyone's side of the story.
Almost instantly I'm interrupted by Thor and quickly seal his mouth shut.
"Fight me like a warrior Lady Morgana!!" – Thor
Ignoring the meathead I begin a conversation with Freya, after a few quick explanations, excluding the fact I robbed them, Freya finally has a rough idea what's happening. Turning first to Loki, Freya asks him his version of the story.
Surprisingly, Loki is a mamma's boy and tells her the truth, Thor on the other hand kept asking to fight me. Ignoring Thor I turn to Freya so we can decide what to do with the frost giants.
After a few minutes of discussion, we can't decide what to do with them, feeling a thought from my bird I give it a little thought before giving it the go ahead. Jumping off my shoulder the bird flies over to one of Laufey's minion then in almost an instant it burns the frost giant to ash and eats it.
Jumping to the next frost giant it does the same but is stopped when it goes for Laufey, panicking Freya uses telekinesis to throw the bird away from him.
Picking up my bird I put it back on my shoulder.
"Why did you let it do that!" – Freya
"I don't control it. It does what it wants." – Morgan
Shrugging off my birds behaviour I release Loki and Thor, then grabbing a bit of material from the wall I create shackles around Laufeys wrists and ankles before releasing him.
"How's this, now you only have one person to put in your dungeon." – Morgan
Shifting the space around Laufey I put him next to Freya so he can't run, then finished with the commotion I make to leave, walking towards the door I'm stopped by Freya before I can leave.
"You have questions to answer before you're allowed to leave." – Freya
Looking first at Freya then around the room I shrug and make a seat, turning back to Freya I point at Loki standing in the corner.
"That's an illusion." – Morgan
Face blanching Freya quickly casts a spell causing the Loki standing in the corner to dissipate into mist. Standing up I move to the hole in the wall and look down at the Bifrost.
Sure, enough there's Loki sprinting along the bridge to the Bifrost, Thor seeing his brother running doesn't listen to his mother and jumps out the hole before flying towards the Bifrost with Mjolnir.
Not wanting to be left out I telekinetically grab Laufey and Freya before flying out the hole. Flying over the surrounding lake I make it in time to witness Loki snap off the sword that acts as the key to the Bifrost.
"I've done it brother, The Bifrost is charging and Jotunheim will be destroyed there is nothing you can do about it!" – Loki
Releasing Laufey and Freya I step to the side to watch the drama, almost instantly Laufey runs for the activated Bifrost. Though instead of teleporting away Laufey is shredded in the most painful process I've ever witnessed.
Wincing slightly, I offer a small amount of pity for Laufey. Back to the drama Freya still seems to concerned by Laufey's suicide and doesn't notice the fight happening between Thor and Loki.
Though she does choose to pay attention when Thor begins destroying the Bifrost. I must say she is probably regretting not teaching him better because he's really stupid. I mean destroying your civilisations greatest weapon and only means of planetary travel. Stupid.
Freezing Thor mid swing before he can destroy the Bifrost I decide to get involved. Stepping forward I begin by placing my hand on the bridge/energy transfer Thor was about to destroy. Then spreading my tendrils across the length of the bridge I begin to syphon it's power.
As I syphon it's power I feel my body adapting to the high energy transfer, as an added bonus after syphoning the energy I'm able to convert it into psionic energy which I send directly to my weavers back on Earth who rapidly begin making coral.
Five minutes later the Bifrost is forcefully shut down when I syphon all it's power, feeling a bit bloated I secretly admire the massive increase in coral back on earth, with the coral now extending over five kilometres along the tunnels.
Standing up I place my hand in front of Thor's swing and release him, catching his blow effortlessly I quickly dissipate the energy.
Now with everything finally done with I open a portal to leave, but before stepping through the portal Thor turns and yells at Loki. Loki fearing Thor might get violent steps back, straight off the bridge.
Diving forward Thor attempts to catch Loki as he falls off Asgard but fails, watching from the side I contemplate saving Loki but decide against it. After all someone needs to bring me the mind stone.
Stepping through the portal I close it behind me as Odin appears just to stop Thor from diving after his brother. Now it seems I have to wait for a while for the next event.
