Chapter 26: Chapter 26

1st Pov

Fiddling with my new energy for a bit I wait for the approaching cars to arrive. Watching from a distance all but one car drives towards the hammer. The other car instead drives towards me.

Watching quietly the car eventually arrives and Phil Coulson steps out, inside the car I notice another person and recognise them as Hawkeye.

"Hi." – Morgan

Starting off with a simple greeting Phil looks around for a second before meeting my eyes.

"Hi, what are you doing here? Did you cause the light show up in the atmosphere a bit ago?" – Phil

Still sitting on the boulder, I pick up a handful of sand and slowly let it fall through my fingers.

"Yeah the light show was me, and I'm here because it's interesting." – Morgan

Visibly thinking hard Phil tries to come up with a response to my answer, eventually he seems to decide on a response.

"You're not going to attack us if we study that hammer right?" – Phil

Waving off Phil's comment I continue to fiddle with the sand.

"Nah, I'm just waiting for the hammers owner to return." – Morgan

Perking up Phil seems to think of something.

"Do you know what the hammer is or who it belongs to?" – Phil

Pondering I jump off the boulder and walk around Phil, muttering a few unnerving comments as I circle him I eventually stop in front of him. Phil for the most part seems to hold his ground but I can see a flicker of unease it his thoughts.

"Yeah I know who's hammer it is, that hammer is called Mjolnir. It belongs to the Asgardian prince and god of lightning Thor. He's currently banished here on earth." – Morgan

Freezing I watch as Phil's brain slowly works through my response word by word. Something interesting with my new divinities is the enhanced ease I have with similar concepts, for example at the moment I'm effortlessly reading Phil's mind whilst thoughts on how to control his psionic energy flow through my mind.

Reaching the end of my response Phil's brain rapidly cycles through new responses and strategies before settling with the simplest, ignoring it.

"Um, thanks for the information miss… actually I just realised I never got your name?" – Phil

Chuckling at Phil's meagre attempts to gain more information, I decide it doesn't matter.

"You can call me Morgana, I'm actually kind of surprised it took your agency so long to ask." -Morgan

Smiling with a wide smile I watch with mild humour as Phil's brain floods with dopamine as he praises his own forwardness. It is slightly weird knowing all his thoughts and emotions but it feels natural.

"Well thank you Miss Morgana for the information but it's about time I return to my men" – Phil

Saying this Phil waves goodbye and returns to his car. Inside the car I watch as he instantly turns to Hawkeye and begins repeating our conversation. Grinning I watch as well how Hawkeye points out me still watching them.

Waving awkwardly Phil starts the car and drives away, I guess he thought his car was soundproof enough. Having a few hours before the next event I decide to be productive, splitting my thought trains I assign some to practicing the limits of my new divinities, using another group I focus back on my lab.

Back in my lab I remotely control a combination of robots and typhon to operate the tools. Starting off my research I place a mimic into my most accurate chamber and begin running tests. Hours later I've made great progress with my test and have created a new material.

This new material I've dubbed organic metal is made by mimicking a piece of iron, copper, or another element. After mimicking the element, I can forcefully lock the mimic with my control making it entirely replicate the atomic makeup of the material.

Now the only difference my new organic metal has is the psychic presence, even after entirely replicating an object down to the atoms my psychic presence still remains and I have full control of the material.

At the moment I don't have to many uses for this organic metal with the only use I have at the moment being installing this metal into electronic systems so they become extensions of myself.

Using this new material I then force my technopath up in space to produce some mimics and begin to integrate them into my drill probes.

Turning my focus back to earth I can feel my mind continue to expand as more and more objects connect to my systems.

Looking in front of me I easily see through the storm that had randomly appeared and spotted Thor. Frankly I'm kind of disappointed in Thor, I can see he easily has enough power to easily level a planet but it's all held back by a flimsy seal.

Adding rune studying to my check list I assign a thought train to deciphering the runes I saw on Mjolnir. Hopping up off my rock I quickly fly into the air and using my ability to manipulate Electromagnetic radiation make myself invisible by bending all light around me.

Hovering about ten metres off the ground I lazily float around above Thor as he struggles to fight through some human foes, secretly thanking past me I'm glad I wished to be immune to sealing. I can't even begin to imagine how it would feel to have all my strength stripped so easily.

After another five minutes of scuffling through the mud Thor finally stands before Mjolnir. Grabbing it's handled he fiercely tries to lift it but is unable. Looking at the energy inside Mjolnir I watch as it desperately tries to return to Thor.

But it's not to be as a glowing red energy feeds off Mjolnir's desire to return to Thor and holds it in place. Surprisingly, the rune Odin inscribed in Mjolnir is quite cruel, even with a cursory understanding I'm able to tell Mjolnir is sentient as I can feel it's mind.

Odin's rune though suppresses it's mind and chains it to his will, the rune is basically like tying a dog to a post then waving a piece of chicken in front of it and laughing when it can't reach.

Dropping down next to the sobbing Thor I drop my invisibility, patting him on the back I assign more thought trains to analysing the runes. Watching some soldiers storm in I let them take Thor to a cell.

It doesn't seem he's in the right mindset to deal with his father's punishment for now. Walking over to me a particularly aggressive guard yells at me to get on my knees. Laughing at him I wave my hand and his gun dissolves into metal particles before reforming as shackles around his wrists.

Scanning his mind quickly I notice he's with hydra so snapping my fingers again the shackles grow spikes that plunge 2 centimetres into his arms. Leaving the screaming hydra agent, I turn invisible again and follow Thor.

Eventually Thor is led through to a cell where he sits blankly. A few minutes later Phil shows up and begins interrogating him though not getting anything useful he quickly gives up. Finally, after all this waiting the event I was waiting for happens.

Appearing in the room as if by magic is a Nordic inspired version of Tom Hiddleston. The person is of course the adopted sibling of Thor, Loki. Watching from the side I begin to rapidly trace the location of Loki's magic signature.

Adapting quickly to the variant of Odin force I quickly devise a method to track it. Surprisingly, I notice the signal seems to be travelling through a distorted section of space here on earth and including my space affinity I backtrack the signal all the way to Asgard.

Smiling I drop my invisibility I place my hand on illusion Loki's shoulder, its actually fairly easy to use divine power to cause any damage I inflict on his illusion to be inflicted on his main body. Because something Loki forgot to do was protect his energy from tampering.

Feeling my hand on his shoulder Loki's head snaps in my direction looking like he's about to yell, but upon seeing me his face drains of colour and he attempts to dissipate his illusion. Forcefully keeping his illusion connected I grin wickedly.

Thor at this point has finally taken notice of me and has stood up.

"Unhand my brother dragon, he is king of Asgard." – Thor

Despite how much he seems to hate it Thor defends Loki with a straight face, chuckling at his comment I tighten my grip on Loki's shoulder.

"Loki's not king, he's a trickster. It's actually a pretty good plot all things considered, if he convinces you to stay here he becomes king." – Morgan

Zoning out I notice how Thor slowly works his way around what I said, his mind is very slow barely faster than a human, Loki's mind is far faster. Turning red Thor looks directly at Loki as he seems to connect the dots.

Lunging forward Thor attempts to punch Loki but flies straight through him, laughing at Thor's shocked expression I instead focus on Loki.

"Hi Loki, I don't get why you want to be king. You're so much smarter than Thor, all you have to do to control Asgard is become Thor's advisor he trusts you after all." – Morgan

Straightening up a look of realisation flashes across Loki's face, reading his mind I notice him considering the plausibility of my idea in the long term. After a brief glance at Thor who is still sitting on the floor rubbing his head, he seems to come to a conclusion.

"Thank you for your advice Dragon, for your aid I shall not have you executed." – Loki

Hearing the arrogance in his snarky remark something deep inside me feels insulted, tightening my grip on his shoulder till my claws puncture his skin he seems to realise his mistake.

"Say that again Loki, do you think you can execute me?" – Morgan

Practically growling in anger, I stare Loki dead in the eye, though instead of knowing what's good for him Loki opts to double down. Straightening up and putting on a mask of control Loki looks me back in the eye.

"I said I shall not have you executed dragon, but with your attitude I think I'll take back my decree." – Loki

Puncturing a claw through the entirety of Loki's shoulder I look him dead in the eye, by this point my anger has risen to the point my energy is flashing around my eyes. Groaning in pain Loki only now seems to remember his situation as his face blanks.

"You have one hour Loki, either come here to Midgard and receive your beating or I will come tear you out of your palace and beat you in front of all the people of Asgard." – Morgan

Finishing my threat, I release Loki's shoulder and force his illusion to dissipate just in time for Thor to stand up and the door to open. Seeing me standing there next to Thor with blood on my claws Phil blanks.

Pushing past Phil a woman attempts to enter the cell only to freeze when she sees me. Waving awkwardly, I rein in my anger before gently pushing the dazed Thor towards the door. Then before I have to deal with some awkward conversations I teleport out.

Now outside I wait a few minutes for Thor and the group of scientists to leave, once they do I take to the sky and follow them, after all I have to do something while I wait for Loki.

Eventually the group ends up at the nearby town and enters the diner, inside whilst they talk I notice a disturbance in space. Moving closer to the disturbance I'm able to witness the Bifrost come down and deposit four people.

Of the four, three are men and one is a woman. After landing the group briefly looks around before moving straight for Thor. Still invisible I follow behind the surprisingly strong warriors till the meet with Thor.

Upon meeting Thor, the four warriors start laughing and yelling along with Thor, after a few minutes of boredly watching them be noisy the time limit I gave Loki is almost up.

Just as I start considering the best way to beat up Loki I'm interrupted by a larger spatial disturbance and look up in time to see the Bifrost crash down again.

Zipping over to the spot it landed I watch as Loki walks confidently out of the rainbow bridge holding in his hand the divine spear Gungnir. Landing in front of Loki I make a quick check to confirm he's actually here.

Though during my checks, the Bifrost is still powered up and a golden bronze three metre tall robot walks out. Scanning the robot, I can feel minds trapped in it, it makes me think what's with people and using the minds of innocents to power their robots.

"There you are dragon, by my decree as the king of Asgard I sentence you to death!" – Loki

Interrupting my contemplations Loki arrogantly declares my execution, laughing at Loki I step forward to punch him. Matching my step the robot I now recognise as the Destroyer steps in front of Loki.

Sighing I really hoped I wouldn't have to fight the Destroyer but it seems I'll have to. Dashing forward at high speed I punch the Destroyer square in the chest, surprisingly though the armour tanks enough force to level a city block without moving.

Hitting it again I increase my power to enough to destroy an entire city, still apart from a slight shift nothing happens. Annoyed by it's durability I ramp my power up to continental level and go to punch it again but am interrupted.

Gazing down I look upon the spear that attempted to stab me straight through the chest only to fail, growling at Loki's cowardice I backhand him away causing him to drop the spear. Resealing the hole, I created around the spear I use a tendril to quickly stash it in my inventory.

Turning back to the destroyer I narrowly dodge a punch travelling well above the speed of sound, though what I wasn't expecting was for a second invisible hit to smash square into my chest. Rocketing backwards I blast through all the houses in my way before landing on the other side of town.

Standing up I feel my body adapt and I move back in, flying straight back the way I came I use enough force to level a continent and hit the Destroyer. Now it's its turn to fly away it travels a few hundred metres before crashing to the ground.

Continuing my flight I chase after the Destroyer, dodging a beam it cuts straight through one of my wings as it was too fast to fully dodge. Quickly recovering, my wing near instantly repairs itself as I feel my body adapt again.

Reaching the Destroyer I punch it again but see no damage, changing tactics I instead try to rake my claws across it and manage to carve off some material.

Stashing the material, I begin a rapid combo consisting of blocks, punches, parries, and slashes. Reinforcing the surrounding desert so our battle doesn't destroy the planet we continue to exchange blows faster than sound.

Finally, after twenty minutes of constant back and forth I've lost about a quarter of my health bar but was able to adapt to it's attacks and haven't received any more damage, stepping forward I slash across the destroyers neck with my claws that adapted to cut better.

Tumbling across the sand the Destroyers head rolls for a bit before coming to a rest against a rock as the rest of its body collapses.

Sighing in relief I release my hold on space and stash all the parts of the Destroyer for later study. Then spreading my wings, I shoot back to the town, there I find Loki with a dagger plunged into Thor's chest.

Behind Thor I notice a bleeding Jane Foster lying on the ground with obvious knife wounds. Looking around more I notice all of the warriors four are unconscious on the ground and Loki himself is suffering a multitude of wounds.

Landing on the ground a few metres from Loki I take out the Destroyer's head and roll it to his feet, blanching Loki looks at me as Thor slides off his dagger.

Looking down at Thor I notice lightning arcing around him and decide to let him handle this for now. Grabbing the Destroyer's head, I step back as Mjolnir rockets past me into Thor's hand.
