{A/N: I'm going to slow the chapter updates for a bit whilse I try to decide how to continue the story.}
3rd Pov
Tony Stark was scared; his day had been going bad already but this takes the cake. Tony was at the moment trapped in a faulty suit embedded in the side of a car, before him a large mecha primed a missile.
Today started off the same as usual for Tony, he was woken up by his advanced Ai, had his Breakfast made by his beautiful assistant and moved to his workshop. In his workshop he developed suspicions his uncle was behind the backdoor weapon deals he had been trying to stop.
So, he did what any rich person would and got someone else to investigate, and although reluctant his assistant Pepper Potts had agreed to help him. Pan forward a few hours and Tony was in his lounge room when he received a call from Pepper.
Answering it Pepper was nervously telling him about Obadiah's betrayal and subsequent weapon development when a high pitched noise suddenly paralysed him. Stepping around from behind him Obadiah had taken his phone and hung up the call.
Without being able to do anything Tony was forced to endure as Obadiah tore the Arc reactor from his chest and condemned him to death. After a few minutes of slowly dying Tony was able to regain a small amount of control of his body and drag himself to his workshop.
There in the workshop he was saved by his assistant's sentimentality and was able to install his original arc reactor. Flying out of his house in his Mk3 armour he had quickly made his way to the main Stark Industries facility.
At Stark Industries he had instantly noticed Obadiah in a five metre tall mech similar to his own armour, and defending his assistant he had instantly attacked him. Unfortunately for him Obadiah's mech was stronger than he thought and his old arc reactor couldn't output enough power.
So, after a bit of back and forth Tony had tried to use his superior suit to gain the upper hand only for Obadiah's suit to match him. Catching up to him Obadiah was about to crush him when his armour froze over and Tony was able to escape.
Quickly rushing to the ground Tony was certain Obadiah was dead after that fall and began removing his almost depleted armour. Only for the static in his helmet to mask the approaching Obadiah, and for him to subsequently get smashed into a car.
That leads back to the present as Tony watches his uncle and formerly his most trusted advisor raise a missile straight to his head. Closing his eyes small tears begin to fall as he regrets his decisions, hearing the tell tale sound of the missile firing Tony braces for his death.
Only instead of dying he was instead saved by the most alien creature he had ever seen, standing over twelve metres tall the large female humanoid with draconic features easily tanks the missile.
Panicking Obadiah rapidly launches the rest of his missiles only for them to uselessly crash against the alien, seeing the alien approach Obadiah through his reinforced eye holes Tony feels a small bit of satisfaction at Obadiah's supposed fate.
His satisfaction quickly turns to nervousness when Obadiah attempts to escape. Like a light switch Tony's emotions continue to switch as he watches helplessly as the alien toys with Obadiah. And for the first time in his life Tony feels small.
All his wealth, all his intelligence, all the women he ever slept with. Nothing could save him if this alien decided to go after him, for all his genius Tony began to realise how weak he truly was.
Steeling his resolve Tony internally swore to himself that if he were to survive tonight he would work on improving himself, he would improve his body, mind, and armour so he never again had to feel weak.
By this point Tony watches as the alien effortlessly plucks Obadiah from his armour her eery laugh echoing across the carpark as she plays with him. Then with a quick motion the alien tosses Obadiah into the air and Tony believes for a second she will eat him.
Though unlike what Tony thought the alien instead catches Obadiah and laughs louder, then after placing Obadiah on the ground it easily crushes his armour.
Turning it's gaze on Tony his mind blanks with panic as it approaches, but again contrary to what Tony was imagining the alien doesn't eat him and instead instantly fixes his armour.
Standing there stunned Tony is only able to move when the alien mentions something about looking to his fathers work for improving the arc reactor. Slowly shuffling across the carpark Tony absentmindedly plays with the replica arc reactor in his hands.
Sitting next to the traumatised Obadiah, Tony's mask flips open and he watches the now three and a half metre alien talk to some agents before disappearing. Rubbing his eyes Tony checks with his Ai, Jarvis, if what he saw was real.
After that time seemed to fly by as Tony began to fade in and out of conscience, throughout the experience Tony was able to vaguely glimpse doctors running around him, Pepper walking by his side, and a few other things.
Weirdest of all was the weird visions he got. The visions could only be described as watching a signal travel through the brain, and through these visions Tony could feel his mind getting clearer and faster.
Finally, over a week later Tony awoke in a hospital bed with Pepper by his side. Gazing around the sparse and cold room the only warmth Tony could feel was from his caring assistant resting in the chair next to his bed.
Twitching his muscles Tony attempted to pull himself out of his bed, sitting on the bed edge Tony stumbles a bit before standing on his feet. Walking to the door Tony finds a newspaper resting by the door, the date on the newspaper shocks Tony though as over a week has passed.
Opening the door Tony stumbles only to be caught by a tall doctor, glancing at the doctors name badge it reads, Dr S. Strange. Standing back to his full height Tony attempts to push past the doctor only for him to hold Tony's shoulder.
"Mr Stark, it's not recommended for you to be out of bed, please come back to your room." – Dr S. Strange
Looking the doctor in the eyes Tony sighs before relenting and letting the doctor help him back to his room. Grabbing his patient chart from the end of his bed Tony reads it over as the doctor performs checks on him.
Shocked Tony has to double check it's his patient chart, on the chart it mentions the patient being admitted for multiple fractures and a concussion. After a quick MRI, the on staff doctor had noticed a small tumour, which with the help of local super surgeon Dr Strange was quickly removed.
Blankly staring at the chart Tony is again confronted by his mortality, steeling his face he asks the doctor for his phone.
1st Pov
It had been over a week since Jean and I went on our date to Los Angeles and saved Iron man, in that time Jean had taken to disaster relief work to exercise her powers whilst I had delved back into the path of technology.
Over the week I had made sure to pay close attention to Tony's condition in hospital as he was a vital character for this reality. Checking over my systems real quick I'm happy to see Tony's awoken, and so move back to my project.
At the moment my spaceship I launched a week ago finally arrived at its destination. By burning through the pulse drive my ship was able to make the hundred million kilometre journey to the asteroid belt.
There I had now started the release procedure, opening my ship ten car sized probes float out. Quickly configuring the drones, they rocket off towards the nearest asteroids; after mining a bit of material each drones carries part of the asteroid back to the open ship.
Using the collected material the slightly less accurate atomic printer built into the cargo bay breaks it down and begins constructing new drones. Setting up my system I program the printer to begin production of a third iteration of the Burav once a thousand drill probes are created.
Back on earth I receive a notification from a bug I placed in SHIELD's systems. Instantly reviewing the information, I start making my way outside, what the bug was telling me was SHIELD discovered an unidentified hammer that fell from the sky.
Returning to my base form once outside I rocket to the sky and head towards New Mexico. Breaking the sound barrier, I use my psionics to dissipate the sonic boom, and after a while of flying I arrive over the skies of New Mexico.
Flying around for a bit I eventually arrive at the location marked in the SHIELD database and find a bunch of red necks trying to move Thor's hammer. Scanning the area with my psionics I find Thor in a hospital in the nearby town.
Focusing on the more interesting issue I drop from the sky next to the hammer, shocking the red necks with my landing. And without fail it takes less than ten seconds for all the red necks to begin shooting at me.
Sighing I quickly use my psionic abilities to change the red necks minds and make them believe they need to go home. Now alone with the hammer I do a quick walk around as I inspect it.
The hammer consists of a main large metal brick precisely forged and inscribed with runes, connected to a wooden hammer wrapped in some form of leather.
Practically bouncing with excitement, I lay my hand around the handle, now in contact with the hammer I can feel a new type of energy flowing through it. The energy seems to hold the concept of lightning but has a background trace that without better word feels arrogant.
Based on just the arrogant feeling I can conclude the energy is likely the Odin force, because no matter the version Odin is a arrogant arsehole who doesn't know how to raise kids.
Thinking of Odin's kids, I remember Hela and mentally make a note to check on her if I can find Hel, after all she is incredibly powerful and would make a good ally.
Moving my focus back to the hammer I attempt to replicate the energy I feel flowing through it, drawing in energy from the hammer I feel my body begin to adapt. Feeding the syphoned energy with my psionic energy I attempt to strip the arrogance from the power.
Standing there for over an hour I work on slowly refining and assimilating this energy and at a certain point I feel something click within me. With that click the entirety of my energy pool all gains a divine aspect similar to the Odin force but mine.
Now with my own spark of divinity I feel changes begin within me, unlike last time when I got knocked out my ability to adapt kicks in and I stay awake.
Flooding though my body my psionic energy slowly becomes more and more divine, refining my body and mind as it moves. Taking to the air I quickly shoot towards the sky as my energy violently arcs from my body.
Arriving at the edge of the atmosphere I feel my change reaching its peak and with a burst of violent crimson and purple energy my entire body rapidly changes.
Five minutes later my energy slowly stops changing and my body finishes adapting. Floating back to the ground I take a seat a five hundred metres away from the hammer on top of a nearby boulder.
Sitting there waiting I begin to go over my changes. First and foremost, all my energy has evolved, I now have ten times the energy pool and it is ten times as potent making my energy a hundred times better.
Something else I can feel with my energy is its newfound control, before it could be compared to a toddler trying to drive a car, now though it feels like a profession formula one racer. Flexing my energy out of my body its now far more vibrant and potent than before.
Doing a quick test with my electricity generation skill I almost instantly glass a five metre area of desert in front of me. Extending a tendril, I pick up a piece of the glass and inspect it, looking through it there isn't any sand granules unmelted.
Tossing the glass, it shatters against the rest of the desert. When I was creating electricity this time I noticed it seemed more connected with the actual concept of electricity. From this I can note my improved energy imbues minor divine might in my skills.
Continuing on from my energy I focus next on my body, surprisingly both my human form and base form seemed to of become more perfect and beautiful, which is really weird because I already controlled my looks perfectly and nothing physically changed.
As for my physical stats they all seem to be ten times stronger than before which is a nice buff as they were falling behind my mental stats.
Finally for my mental stats all of these seem to be ten times higher than before as well. This in turn increase my thought trains, creativity, thinking speed, interpretation, and all other mental faculties.
Something weird though that I notice when focusing on my mental abilities is the affinities I can feel, it's a bit weird to describe but I can vaguely feel concepts attached to my energy. Focusing closer on this feeling I'm able to vaguely make out what each concept is.
In the lead over the other concepts, I can feel Dragon, Mind, Space, and Technology each of these concepts seemed to have a decent attachment to my energy. Looking at the others I can vaguely feel heat, electricity, and time but can't identify any after those.
Happy with this unexpected upgrade I spot some black cars approaching from a distance, figuring I have enough time I open my notifications.
