Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Power Of Happiness
"The road ahead is long… only my sword shall accompany me."
Danzo's eyes widened as a surge of energy coursed through his body. A name flashed across his mind.
[Congratulations, Host, for obtaining the inheritance of the Gale Swordsman—Yasuo.]
[You have learned: Steel Tempest (Beginner), Wind Wall (Beginner), Sweeping Blade (Beginner), and Last Breath (Beginner).]
A gentle breeze swept across Konoha's streets.
"Did you feel that?" A ponytailed man glanced around.
Another villager raised an eyebrow. "Feel what?"
"The power of the wind."
Meanwhile, Danzo couldn't hold back his excitement. "No, it's the power of happiness!"
Unable to contain himself, he sprinted toward the training ground.
A vegetable vendor yawned as he watched him disappear down the street. "Kids these days have way too much energy…"
---
Tobirama Senju stood before his newly accepted students, his sharp gaze scanning them.
"Because Lord Hokage has many responsibilities and requires advisors, I will only have one day per week to personally train you. Today marks our first official lesson, and I need to assess your strengths and weaknesses."
He paused, then added dryly, "Except for someone…"
His gaze flickered toward Danzo.
Immediately, Danzo straightened his back, standing at attention.
Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others glanced at him with subtle smirks. After all, only a few days ago, a giant Danzo statue had appeared on Hokage Rock. Now, everyone knew he was the one who had sculpted the official Hokage monument as a form of 'compensation.'
Noticing their stares, Danzo huffed, "What are you all looking at? Pay attention to the teacher!"
The same thought ran through everyone's mind:
'This guy has no shame…'
Tobirama's mouth twitched, but he chose to ignore it.
"Raise your hand if you have not yet learned chakra control."
Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado raised their hands.
With a simple hand seal, Tobirama summoned two shadow clones, shocking the students.
Danzo squinted. "Teacher, that's not the standard Clone Jutsu, is it?"
Tobirama nodded approvingly. "You have sharp perception. This is the Shadow Clone Jutsu, a technique I developed based on my brother's Wood Clone Jutsu."
Seeing the students' eager expressions, he added, "However, this technique is still incomplete and needs further refinement."
Danzo's enthusiasm didn't waver. "Teacher, I want to learn it!"
Tobirama sighed. "We'll discuss that later. My clone will guide Koharu and Homura in chakra control training."
With that, one of his clones led them away, leaving him with Hiruzen and Danzo.
Turning to Hiruzen, Tobirama spoke first. "You have an affinity for all five chakra natures. Your training will focus on mastering elemental combinations."
He unsealed a scroll, and five elemental jutsu scrolls appeared.
Once Hiruzen's training path was set, Tobirama turned to Danzo.
'This kid has a knack for ninjutsu, as seen from his statue sculpting. He also showed some skill in swordplay during the previous competition…'
"Danzo, your primary chakra nature is Wind. Wind-style techniques emphasize sharpness. Are you planning to specialize in close combat?"
Danzo nodded firmly. "Yes, Teacher! I want to become the strongest swordsman in the world!"
Tobirama raised an eyebrow. 'Are my Flying Thunder God and Water Release techniques not impressive enough?'
"Are you saying you wish to surpass me?"
Danzo met his gaze with unwavering determination. "Of course!"
Tobirama blinked in surprise but then smirked slightly. "You're ambitious. Let's see if you can back it up."
His expression turned serious. "I will test your abilities. Of course, I will suppress my strength."
Danzo's grip tightened around his wooden practice sword.
[Mission Triggered: Spar with Tobirama Senju. Reward: Unknown Summoning Beast Egg.]
'Perfect. I need a new summoning beast anyway. But… what happens if I actually win?'
[Host, that scenario is highly unlikely.]
Danzo snorted. 'You never know until you try!'
With his resolve firm, he stepped onto the training ground.
Just as he reached the center—
**Water Release: Water Colliding Wave!**
A torrent of water surged toward him before he could react.
**"?!—"**
The powerful current sent him flying straight into a tree, knocking loose a shower of leaves.
"**Damn it!**" Danzo groaned, peeling himself off the bark.
Tobirama crossed his arms. "That is your first lesson: never underestimate your opponent."
Danzo rubbed his sore head. "Teacher, how could you ambush a five-year-old like that?"
Tobirama's voice grew colder. "On the battlefield, the enemy won't hesitate just because you're a child."
Danzo's protest died in his throat. He lowered his head in realization.
'Right… His two younger brothers died in battle as children. And they were geniuses too.'
The training continued, covering survival techniques, medicinal herbs, and other fundamental knowledge.
By the time the sun dipped below the horizon, the session ended.
---
"I'm back!"
Without delay, Danzo dashed into his bedroom and retrieved the summoning egg.
[Would you like to activate it?]
"Do it, system!"
The egg trembled violently before cracking open.
A small, dark-scaled creature peeked out.
Danzo's eyes widened.
[Congratulations, Host! You have obtained a pet: Night Fury.]
"A Night Fury?! No way!"
The tiny dragon blinked at him, then without hesitation, spat a burst of fire at his face.
**"Ack—!"**
[Would you like to form a summoning contract?]
Danzo coughed out a puff of smoke. "Of course!"
As the contract formed, he felt an invisible link connect him to the little dragon.
[Contract established.]
Danzo smirked. "Gotcha now, you little—"
**Bonk!**
He lightly flicked the dragon on the head. The tiny creature glared at him in protest but, bound by the contract, dared not retaliate.
Looking into its large, intelligent eyes, Danzo sighed. "Fine, fine. Let's go get you some fish."
The Night Fury turned its head away, pretending to ignore him, but its tail wagged slightly.
Just as he was about to leave, Danzo asked, "System, how long will it take for him to mature?"
[With system enhancements, he will reach his prime in about ten years.]
Danzo nodded. "That's reasonable. At least Konoha will be peaceful until the First Hokage passes away…"
A grin spread across his face.
"A flying summon, huh? Looks like the sky will be mine to rule."
