HI3: I Don't Want to Be a Valkyrie

As the red dragon burst through the cave entrance, its colossal form instantly illuminated the night sky over the active volcano.

Rozaliya and Liliya could now see the massive, terrifying red dragon hovering above them in all its chilling glory.

The dragon's scales were large and deep red, with only its belly slightly paler. Smooth, darker patterns adorned its body.

These scales looked metallic but were countless times harder than even the strongest alloys.

The dragon's neck and the edges of its wings shimmered in a gray-purple hue, while its eyes resembled molten lava orbs.

The entire red dragon was like a formidable, menacing war machine.

Sharp spines covered its body, and it had four sturdy legs akin to a mythical qilin. Spanning its back were eagle-like wings, each dozens of meters wide. Its snake-like tail bristled with razor-sharp blades.

"A formidable enemy mission... yet another strong adversary. Level 80 and still SS-rank? That's pushing it a bit, don't you think, Rozaliya?" Liliya glanced at the newly appeared mission, her gaze fixed on the red dragon above. She hadn't anticipated facing something equivalent to an SS-rating and level 80.

Although this dragon seemed slightly less daunting than the previous bug-like zombie dragon, Liliya genuinely did not want to experience the sensation of dying again.

"However, the rewards are quite impressive," Rozaliya noted, her eyes scanning the task rewards. Surprisingly, there was a monthly pass among them.

"Let's give it our all," Liliya decided, her voice steady. "Worst comes to worst, we can always switch Valkyries..." She glanced at the giant dragon in the sky, now clearly eyeing them. Any hesitation vanished from her mind.

"Agreed," Rozaliya nodded, tucking her great sword between her feathered tail. In her right hand, she held the colossal Chiyou Cannon, while her left gripped the Oath of Judah.

Liliya mirrored her stance, one hand wielding the great sword Swan Lake, the other grasping a massive cannon nearly identical to the Chiyou. Her tail secured a Judah cross.

"Fear not... We are Valkyries, after all! Our arsenal holds over seventy percent of the Honkai world's weaponry. It's time to show this red dragon the true might of our royal treasures!"

No one spoke as they digested this information.

"However, we must be cautious. The red dragon is immune to fire attacks! Ice-based attacks, on the other hand, deal double damage to it."

"Understood."

The red dragon, soaring through the sky, observed the two demi-human girls below, their thoughts utterly insignificant to it.

At the cave entrance lay dead lizardmen, two-legged dragons, and centaurs. Though the red dragon didn't particularly care about their lives, it preferred to kill them itself. Now, these two intruders had dared to slaughter them right at its doorstep.

It was as if they were stepping on the dragon's face. How could such a proud red dragon tolerate this?

However, the dragon noticed that these two small-fry could unleash remarkably powerful area-of-effect attacks. Being no fool, the dragon couldn't fully dismiss them.

"You contemptible ants! To dare offend the mighty dragon Blazezian—very well, I'll give you a chance. Lay down your weapons, strip off your clothes, and offer yourselves as food to me.

I might consider sparing your lives and not venting my wrath on other demi-humans. Otherwise... I will utterly destroy the entire kingdom of the demi-humans." As the red dragon gazed down at the two creatures, it realized that, by human standards, they were actually even more beautiful than the princess it had recently rescued.

Their bodies emitted an alluring fragrance, and Blazezian's instincts told him consuming them would bring immense benefits.

Although it didn't underestimate them, as a proud red dragon, its arrogant tone remained unchanged.

Rozaliya repeated the dragon's words in a mockingly sweet tone: "Liliya, Liliya, it says we should offer ourselves to be eaten."

"Rozaliya, Rozaliya, it wants to eat us! Oh, I'm so scared!" Liliya chimed in, playing along with her sister's act, her face completely expressionless.

"Damn demihumans! How dare you... You'll both die for this!" The dragon, feeling insulted by their words, became enraged.

Taking a deep breath, it unleashed a massive blast of fiery dragon breath towards Rozaliya and Liliya.

"Rozaliya, prepare yourselves!"

"Understood."

The red dragon's fiery breath had a wide range; even if Liliya and Rozaliya used space jumps, it would be difficult to escape. Since that was the case, they decided to face it head-on.

Watching the red dragon's fiery breath bearing down on them, Rozaliya and Liliya raised their giant cannons.

Two shots, which had been pre-charged, immediately fired...

"Bloodthirsty Super-Heavy Cannon!"

"Frostbite!"

The Chiyou Cannon in Rozaliya's hands and Liliya's Ice Shout fired simultaneously, unleashing two powerful bursts of freezing Honkai energy that slammed into the red dragon's fiery breath.

The collision of ice and flame immediately produced a vast cloud of mist, enveloping a large area entirely.

Liliya's Ice Shout was a replicated cannon created by the Schicksal Organization using metal mimicking "Chiyou's Bones." This divine weapon could freeze enemies, its power rivaling the Chiyou Giant Cannon. Thus, it too earned the title of "Pantheon."

The assault of these two ice-type Pantheon weapons against the dragon's breath initially succeeded in gaining the upper hand.

However... the red dragon's fiery breath was sustained. After briefly suppressing the dragon, the Ice Shout's freezing Honkai energy began to wane steadily.

Liliya and Rozaliya didn't sit idly by, waiting to be defeated. Observing the airborne dragon and the extensive steam field, Liliya gathered her strength.

With a mighty leap, she sprang into the air, swiftly reaching a height of hundreds of meters, now level with the dragon.

As Liliya materialized before the dragon, it ceased its breath attack. The creature raised its head towards Liliana, opened its vast maw, and unleashed countless cone-shaped blasts of flame directly at her.

At this crucial moment, Liliya activated her brief aerial capability and once again conjured her peculiar giant cannon.

"Freeze!" Liliya commanded, activating the weapon's skill as she faced the incoming fire.

The water vapor in the air instantly froze, surging towards the red dragon.

The solid ice obliterated the dragon's flames, enveloping the red dragon and briefly immobilizing it for several seconds. This caused the massive creature to plummet dozens of meters.

While the dragon descended, Rozaliya suddenly leaped onto its back, with Oath of Judah materializing directly on the dragon's scaled hide.
