HI3: I Don't Want to Be a Valkyrie

Chapter 142: Chapter 49: Bathed in Dragonblood

Rozaliya's forceful blow shattered several of the red dragon's scales. Blood seeped out, causing the dragon to roar in agony as the encasing ice evaporated...

"Unfold! Oath of Judah!"

At that moment, Rozaliya activated the Oath of Judah directly above the red dragon's neck, causing it to unfurl fully.

The shackles' power began to constrain the red dragon, launching golden spears of light that pierced directly into its body.

However, due to the dragon's robust scales, the attacks' effectiveness was significantly diminished. This resulted in shallow penetration by the light spears, leading to minimal damage inflicted.

As for Judah's restraining force, Rozaliya provided no amplification. It relied solely on the inherent power of the four-star Judah, allowing the red dragon to swiftly break free.

"You abominable insect! How dare you harm a mighty dragon? Prepare to descend into hell!"

Regaining its freedom, the red dragon felt its dignity trampled upon by Rozaliya and Judah on its back. It descended into a fury.

With a mighty flap of its wings, the dragon soared towards the heavens, simultaneously spinning rapidly in mid-air, attempting to fling Rozaliya off.

"I'm not letting you shake me off..."

As the dragon convulsed violently, Rozaliya nearly lost her grip. Quick as lightning, she grabbed hold of the sharp spines on the red dragon's wings.

Then, with a swift leap, she returned to the dragon's back.

Gripping her great sword, she thrust it into the dragon's body.

Though the red dragon's scales were unyieldingly hard, the five-star Sleeping Beauty pierced them with ease.

"Thorny Briar!"

The great sword, once buried in the dragon's flesh, unleashed its unique power: barbs sprouted along the blade, fastening it into the dragon. Now, the red dragon could not rid itself of Sleeping Beauty.

As the dragon writhed in vain, Rozaliya maintained a firm grip on Sleeping Beauty, ensuring the dragon couldn't free itself.

After thrashing in vain for what seemed an eternity, the dragon realized it couldn't shake off the girl perched on its back. Reluctantly, it ceased its acrobatics, forced to seek another way.

Seeing the dragon's contortions cease, even Rozaliya let out a sigh of relief. If this went on any longer, I might not have held on, she thought. It surely would have tossed me to my death.

The red dragon soared through the azure skies, clouds drifting by the teen girl. Prudently, she stole a glimpse downward; the ground was an indistinguishable blur below—a dizzying height indeed.

This can't go on, thought Rozaliya. I don't know what the red dragon plans to do next, so I can't just sit back and wait for death.

She swiftly extracted Sleeping Beauty from the dragon's body and immediately sprinted towards its head.

Leaping into the air...

"Rocket Headbutt!"

Rosaliya slammed her head directly into the red dragon's terrifyingly monstrous skull.

Naturally, the dragon noticed Rosaliya's attempt, but when it saw that the little humanoid girl actually intended to smash her fragile little head against its own...

The dragon couldn't help but laugh inwardly.

Does she want to die? it thought. Does she truly believe her head is harder than mine?

Just as the dragon was about to mock her, Rosaliya's head crashed directly onto its giant head.

The dragon's expression... instantly changed.

It felt as if a colossal mountain had crashed into its head. An intense pain immediately shot through its brain, completely overwhelming its senses.

Forgetting how to fly, the dragon plummeted downward, struck by the little demi-human girl's head.

(TL Note: 💀)

-

The red dragon plummeted like a shooting star, hurtling straight towards the earth. In mere minutes, it crashed into the ground.

The impact sent shockwaves through the land, leaving the red dragon reeling. It felt as if its internal organs had been displaced, exacerbating the agony from its head wound.

In contrast, Rozaliya, buffered by the dragon's bulk and her Valkyrie-resistance inherent dampening mechanism, remained relatively unscathed.

-

Rozaliya strode towards the red dragon's head, which lay prone on the ground, still stunned.

"Little lizard... it's been nice knowing you!" she said. In her hand materialized a massive blade, reminiscent of a great cleaver—the Dragon Spine, one of the divine weapons forged by Anti-Entropy!

It was crafted from bone marrow extracted from the ancient Judgment-level Honkai Beast Chiyou.

Just like the Chiyou Cannon, it was made from Chiyou's own body!

"Then... it's time for a finisher!"

Rozaliya hefted the Dragon Spine with both hands and slashed down towards the red dragon's head.

Her ultimate attack, increasing damage by over 2,000 percent...

In a flash of crimson, the red dragon had no chance to react as its head was cleanly severed.

"Game over!"

-

The red dragon's head fell, and scarlet blood gushed out, drenching Rozaliya's body.

The intense heat was almost unbearable.

Just as Rozaliya was about to move away from the dragon, she suddenly felt her body's strength surging.

Soaking in dragon blood... Experience +100

Soaking in dragon blood... Experience +100

A steady stream of System-like notifications echoed in Rozaliya's ears. She decided against leaving, instead enduring the scorching blood's effect.

All the while, she silently willed Liliya to hurry.

After several agonizing minutes, Liliya finally arrived on the scene, plunging directly into the torrent of dragon blood to embrace Rozaliya.

However... after Rozaliya had roughly leveled up three times, the notifications ceased, and it seemed the effect of the dragon blood had dissipated.

"What a pity..." Rozaliya looked at her level, now just at 71.

"It still counts as an unexpected bonus," Liliya said, having only leveled up twice, now at 70 herself.

"Nevertheless, we should probably wash up first!" Liliya observed the pair of them - Rozaliya and herself - completely drenched in blood. They looked... both eerie and terrifying.

"Indeed..." Rozaliya ran a hand through her long pink hair, which now felt sticky and uncomfortable.

Without delay, they set out together, searching for a water source.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for Rozaliya and Liliya to find a river. Without much thought, they dove in, beginning to wash themselves...

Due to the lingering dragon blood, it took nearly an hour to scrub clean.

Once rinsed, they changed into spare clothes and returned to the site where the dragon had fallen.
