Genshin Impact: I Became The Son Of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Rocky Weight

Yashiori Mountain

Xiaochen and Ganyu sat together, enjoying the hospitality of Kitsune Saiguu. Xiao had disappeared somewhere, leaving the three women to their conversation.

"I can't believe that little baby from back then has grown up so much. And you've grown too, little Ganyu," Saiguu said with a nostalgic smile.

"Miss Saiguu hasn't changed a bit either," Ganyu replied, forcing a polite smile while silently plotting how to escape and find Brother Yu. Only Brother Yu could handle this woman.

"Oh, stop it," Saiguu said with a modest laugh.

Meanwhile, Xiaochen was staring intently at Saiguu's ears. So white, so fluffy. They must feel amazing to touch… She couldn't resist the urge.

"What's wrong, little princess? Why are you staring at my ears like that?" Saiguu teased.

"Sis Saiguu, you're just too adorable (●´ω`●). I couldn't help myself," Xiaochen admitted candidly.

"My, what a sweet talker you are! You're quite the cutie yourself," Saiguu replied, covering her smile with her fan.

"By the way, what kind of person is Big Sis Ei? She gives off such a cold vibe," Xiaochen asked curiously.

"Ei? Oh, she's actually quite straightforward—"

Before she could finish, a loud crash interrupted them. Yu had fallen from the sky, landing face-first with such force that the ground trembled.

"Ei, could you be gentler? It hurts after the reaction wears off!"

"Then fight back."

"Fine, keep going…"

The two figures gradually moved further away, their voices fading into the distance.

"Wow, those two sure are… intense," Saiguu remarked, eyes wide with surprise.

"I just hope Brother Yu doesn't go overboard like last time," Ganyu muttered nervously.

"Last time? What happened last time?" Saiguu asked, intrigued.

"You don't remember, Miss Saiguu? The last time they sparred, the outcome was—" Ganyu cut herself off, suddenly covering her mouth with both hands. "Nothing, nothing!" she stammered, waving her hands dismissively.

This only piqued their curiosity further. What on earth had happened?

"Sis Ganyu, come on, tell me! Please, please!" Xiaochen pleaded, putting on her best puppy-dog eyes. This trick worked especially well on Ganyu—better than on anyone else except her parents. Hmph, those pesky parents!

"Miss Ganyu, just a tiny hint. I promise I won't tell anyone," Saiguu chimed in, equally curious.

"I really can't… Brother Yu will roast me alive!"

"That's such an exaggeration! From the looks of him, he's such a gentle person. There's no way he'd do something like that."

Somewhere in the distance, Apep, overhearing this, felt compelled to comment: Gentle? That man pummeled me for days without a single attempt at negotiation, leaving me beaten to a pulp. The whole dragon shrank after that beating!

Ganyu didn't want to badmouth Brother Yu, but calling him gentle? Maybe he was… gentle to family. Maybe.

"Ei, if you keep this up, I'll have to fight back."

"Go ahead. I asked you to spar, not to stand there and get hit."

"Can I refuse to spar?"

"Didn't we agree? Partners can't refuse half of each other's requests. Since you chose me, you have to accept it!"

"Fine, here I come!"

Yu lunged forward suddenly, catching Ei off guard and pinning her to the ground. Just as he thought he had the upper hand, Ei surprised him—she had hidden a backup plan.

Despite being pinned, Ei's sword flew out of reach, but Yu was stunned to see her pull another sword from… somewhere between the folds of her clothes.

He froze, unsure whether to be shocked by the hidden sword or… something else.

Seeing him dazed, Ei smirked and thought, Now's my chance. She thrust the sword forward.

No reaction.

She frowned. How could there be no reaction when she'd clearly pierced him? She pulled out the sword and thrust again, but still, nothing. Confused, she looked into his eyes… and decided to slap him across the face.

Yu was sent flying.

Ei pondered for a moment. She might have discovered his weak point. Perhaps she should test it again later.

At that moment, Little Blue popped out of nowhere, a deep-sea drake with a terrifyingly large mouth, and licked the fallen Yu. It then turned to Ei and growled as if complaining.

"Little Blue, I'm fine. Stop licking me."

Ei observed the overly attached deep-sea drake. It seemed Yu had a fondness for keeping pets. Maybe she should consider getting one too?

"This round goes to you. Let's call it a day and check on your sister."

"Alright."

Tenshukaku

The women quickly became acquainted. Saiguu invited a young oni girl and Xiaochen to join her for a soak in the hot springs. The three had a great time sharing stories, though Ganyu stayed behind, feeling too guilty to join them.

"Chiyo, did you hear? Ei actually… hahaha (≧∇≦)! I wish I could've seen that!"

"Really? Ei cried?"

"Big Sis Chiyo, I'm serious! You don't believe me, but it's true!" Zhong Xiaochen exclaimed excitedly, admiring Chiyo's striking horns. So cool, yet somehow adorable. She wanted to touch them so badly. They were completely different from Ganyu's delicate ones.

However, during the soak, Xiaochen couldn't help but notice the… impressive peaks of her companions compared to her own flat plains. She felt a little disheartened but quickly consoled herself. Her dad had always said that rocks needed time to settle. She felt like a sprout just beginning to bud, and in a few centuries, she would show them what real rocky weight looked like!
