*3rd POV
After everything that happened to George, Mary let out a relieved sigh upon hearing the doctor's words.
"Your husband is fine. He'll be able to go home in a day or two after getting enough rest" the doctor said.
"Ohhh, thank you, Lord!" Mary exclaimed with a wide smile of relief, her face beaming with joy. "And thank you, Doctor."
"Yes, it was a minor heart attack. It was triggered by stress and physical exhaustion." the doctor explained, glancing at the chart in his hands. "…And there's no permanent damage to his body." he added, smiling at Mary.
"Oh, alright then… My son wanted his father to exercise, so he took him for a walk to the park…" Mary explained worriedly.
"Oh, that's actually a good thing. He needs more exercise to shed the excess fat in his body." the doctor replied with a nod.
"I'll make sure of it. Thank you, Doctor." Mary said.
Eager to share the good news with her children, Mary left the doctor and hurried to where they were waiting.
"Good news! Your daddy is fine. He'll be coming home in a day or two after some rest here." she announced joyfully. The children's faces lit up, especially Georgie's, who seemed visibly relieved.
Georgie let out a deep breath and leaned back on the bench, as though a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
He smiled at Sheldon and said, "Your prayers were answered by God."
"…It's not Him I prayed to…" Sheldon muttered quietly.

*Georgie's POV
I stared at Dad lying in the hospital bed, a faint smile on his face. Even though I know this was fate, something ordained by God, I couldn't help but blame myself.
If I hadn't pushed him, would things have turned out differently? Maybe he wouldn't have had a heart attack. Maybe he'd still be fine. I don't know.
"It's not your fault." Mom said softly beside me, her smile reassuring. "The doctor said it's good that your dad exercised a little bit."
"...Actually, I prefer Dad to exercise." Missy's voice chimed in. I looked at her, and even if she didn't realize it, her presence on my side was comforting.
"…Yeah…" Sheldon said in a small voice. His words, though quiet, warmed my heart.
Dad reached out and held my hand with a small smile on his face.
"...Dang it… I already wrote a song in case you didn't make it." I joked, my words shocking everyone into silence.
"…Of course, it's a joke…" I quickly added with a smile. But before I realized it, tears were streaming down my face, soaking my cheeks.

*3rd POV
"For everyone knows how, on the first day of creation, God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light!" Pastor Jeff spoke with a smile, his voice echoing through the church. The Cooper family listened intently, except for Missy, who had already fallen asleep in Georgie's arms beside him.
"And when God saw that light, He knew it was good." Pastor Jeff continued, only to be interrupted by Sheldon, who raised his hand. Oh yes, Sheldon never forgot a grudge and wouldn't stop until he felt he'd won.
Georgie, hoping to stop Sheldon, felt a whisper beside him.
"…Psst, Georgie…" He turned to see Veronica sitting across from them, smiling at him.
Georgie grinned back. "What are you doing here?" he asked. He knew Veronica didn't usually go to church, at least not until the Halloween event that would eventually change her behavior and faith.
While Sheldon and Pastor Jeff engaged in a heated debate, the congregation's attention was drawn to their argument, leaving Georgie free to talk with Veronica.
Georgie noticed that Veronica had removed her usual makeup to attend the service.
"...Of course, to pray…." Veronica replied, her tone shy as if Georgie had seen right through her.
"Pray, huh?" Georgie smirked, causing her to blush. "This is God's house; who am I to judge?" he added.
"…Right…" Veronica murmured before turning her attention back to Pastor Jeff's sermon.
"Was the word 'Kaboom!'?" Sheldon asked flatly, causing Mary and George to deploy their usual strategy to exit the church discreetly.
"...What happened?" Missy murmured groggily from Georgie's arms as the Cooper family left the church, shame written across their faces—except for Sheldon, who looked smug, feeling victorious.
"…See you again, sweetie. By the way, you look beautiful." Georgie said to Veronica before leaving her pew.
The Cooper family, feeling embarrassed, exited the church while Mary glared at Sheldon.
"Sheldon, it's not your place to correct a pastor in the middle of a sermon!" Mary scolded, exasperated.
Sheldon remained resolute. "But if I know something is wrong, isn't it my duty to correct it? Even if it's a pastor? Isn't the truth the most important thing?" he asked, looking at his mother earnestly.
"What happened?" Georgie asked, unaware of the earlier argument between Pastor Jeff and Sheldon.
"Pastor Jeff and Sheldon had an argument." Connie said with a smile on her face, as if she enjoyed their debate.
"Oh, Shelly, that's not cool." Georgie said easily, looking at Sheldon. Well, he wasn't too concerned about it, but Mary was still upset with Sheldon. Mary gave Georgie a shut up look because he wasn't exactly siding with her in this matter.
Mary's glare made Georgie, who was still carrying Missy, fall silent and avoid looking at them. But then Georgie spoke again,
"Truth is the most important thing, but so is kindness and understanding. You might be the smartest person in the room, but that doesn't give you the right to hurt others or make them feel less than."
The Cooper family fell silent, looking at Georgie, who didn't seem to be finished yet.
"Life isn't only about facts; it's about people too." he said with a smile and looked back at Sheldon.
"…I understand." Sheldon pouted, but he didn't argue with Georgie. He only grumbled.
"Like I said before, there is a time and place for everything." Georgie added, making Sheldon nod his head.
The Cooper family smiled at the two of them.
"Can we go now?" Missy grumbled.
Veronica, who had been watching them from a distance, saw Georgie getting into his car. She sighed and started leaving the church too. But before she could go, a man's voice called out to her, "VERONICA!"
Surprised to hear her name, Veronica turned to look toward Georgie's car. She saw Georgie smiling at her as he stepped out of the car. She also noticed Georgie talking to his dad before they drove off, leaving him behind.
"…What are you doing?" Veronica asked, though her smile betrayed the confused look she felt in that moment.
"What do you mean? I want to go home too…" Georgie said as he approached her.
Veronica acted indifferent, squinting her eyes.
"Then why didn't you go with your family?"
"Nah… their car is full. I thought I'd just take the bus." Georgie said with a shrug.
Veronica snorted, knowing full well they used two cars—George's and Connie's. How could they be full?!
"So, what are you going to do now?" Veronica asked, watching Georgie closely to see what excuse he'd come up with this time.
"Well, I was thinking of eating some waffles before going home." Georgie said seriously. "It feels like my stomach is screaming for waffles today."
"Really?" Veronica smirked, walking beside him.
"Well, I want you to come eat waffles with me." Georgie said.
Veronica lightly hit him on the arm and snorted, "Just say you're asking me out on a date."
"I just did." Georgie said with a smile as they walked toward the waffle house.

3rd POV
"Why did Georgie leave?" Missy grumbled, asking Mary and George. But before they could answer, Sheldon interjected, "He went to eat waffles." looking at Missy with a face that questioned why she even bothered to ask.
Georgie had told his family he was going to eat waffles. George, Mary, and Connie all knew what Georgie was really up to and had noticed the woman standing outside the church.
"I know. I'm not deaf, Sheldon." Missy said irritably. "Why does he want to eat waffles? That's so random." she grumbled again. "Why didn't he invite me?!" That was the real reason she was upset.
"Huh…" George sighed, glancing at Mary. He didn't want to explain and hoped Mary would handle it.
"Well… maybe he just wanted some waffles, honey." Mary said.
Sheldon, still puzzled, but started teasing Missy. "Georgie went to eat waffles with a woman, and you weren't invited." he said with a smug expression.
"Oh, you mean he's on a date? Okay, cool." Missy said casually, smiling as if the situation didn't bother her anymore.
"Why are you so calm about that?" Sheldon asked, clearly confused. Wasn't she upset earlier about not being invited by Georgie?
"It's a date—nevermind, you wouldn't get it." Missy replied, brushing him off.
Mary and George exchanged glances but decided not to comment, hoping for a peaceful ride home.
