*3rd POV
"Mom… we're home…" Missy announced as she scanned the living room. Billy and Bobbi had already gone home after being treated to ice cream by Connie. They looked incredibly happy—well, except for the ongoing rivalry between Bobbi and Missy.
Connie and Georgie entered the house behind her, with Connie feeling amused by the children's antics. Georgie looked around the house, noting that no one else seemed to be home.
"Where is everyone?" Missy asked, glancing at Georgie and Connie. Even Sheldon wasn't there, which was unusual.
"Why is there a basket of eggs here?" Missy pointed to the egg basket Georgie had left before heading to the park with George.
"…Something's not right…" Georgie murmured, catching Connie's attention. "What's going on?" she asked, her tone serious.
"…This basket is exactly where I left it earlier…" Georgie replied, his words confusing Missy and Connie.
"So… no one came home. Mom wouldn't leave something like that lying around… and the door was still locked…"
Missy still didn't understand, but Connie shrugged. "So? Maybe they went somewhere. Anyway, I'm tired and need to take a shower," she said, turning to Georgie. "…I hope you can be mature enough to look after your sister, right?" she added, prompting a quick salute from Georgie.
After Connie left for her house, Georgie turned to Missy. "So… what do you want to do?"
Missy smiled brightly. "Let's watch ALF together!" She tugged Georgie along with her cheerful demeanor.
Georgie shrugged and followed her, locking the door behind him and pushing aside the unease that had crept into his mind earlier.

*3rd POV
"How is he, doctor? How is his condition?" Mary asked the doctor, her face pale and filled with worry. During the drive, George had experienced chest discomfort and labored breathing. Seeing his pale face and heavy breaths, Mary had rushed him to the hospital without hesitation.
"Why didn't we tell Georgie and Missy?! This is all Georgie's fault!" Sheldon blurted, his worry evident on his face.
{I knew it wasn't Georgie's fault…. Alright, I admit, I blamed my brother for my father's illness back then… and yes, I was wrong.} – Adult Sheldon
"No, it's not Georgie's fault," Mary said, glancing at Sheldon, whose eyes were red with tears. "Stay here. I'll stay with your father," she instructed him firmly.
Sheldon was typically obedient mama's boy. If his mother told him not to move, he would sit still unless forced otherwise. This time, however, he didn't listen. As soon as Mary left, Sheldon approached the receptionist.
"Hello, can I call someone? It's an emergency!" Sheldon asked, staring at the elderly receptionist.
"Didn't your mother tell you not to call your brother?" the receptionist asked, looking at Sheldon curiously.
"My brother and sister don't know about my father's condition. You don't understand what 'emergency' means, do you?" Sheldon said, his voice tinged with irritation as he glared at her.
"Alright, smart boy… Here" the receptionist replied, not wanting to argue with a child. She handed him the phone and returned to her work.
Sheldon immediately dialed the home number. A few seconds later, someone picked up. "Hello, Georgie…"

*Georgie's POV
"…" I listened to Sheldon, shocked by what he was saying. "…Georgie, are you listening to me?" his voice echoed in my ears, but I didn't respond. All I could think was, 'Is this my fault, like Sheldon said?'
"…Hey, I'm not done yet!..." The call abruptly ended. I stood there, frozen, as a flood of negative thoughts overwhelmed me.
"...GEORGIE! What happened?" Missy's voice broke through my spiraling thoughts. She stared at me, confused.
"We should go…" I muttered, grabbing her hand and heading to Connie's house.
"Memaw!" I barged into Connie's house without knocking.
"WHAT?" Connie exclaimed, startled. She was about to scold us for not knocking but stopped when she saw my expression. "What happened?"
"Dad is in the hospital," I said, my voice trembling slightly.
"What?!" Missy cried out, shaking me as tears welled up in her eyes. "What happened?! Is Dad okay?!"
"Let's go…" Connie said, ushering us into her car.
The drive to the hospital felt excruciatingly long. The car was silent, Missy holding onto me tightly. I tried to comfort her, even as my mind raced with questions.
'Did I change the timeline? Wasn't George supposed to feel chest pain and fall ill at night? Why did he have a heart attack in the afternoon? Is it because of his exhaustion? Did he really have a heart attack because of me?'
When we finally arrived, Missy ran into the hospital and spotted Sheldon sitting alone.
"Sheldon!" Missy called, rushing toward him. Sheldon, seeing her approach, quickly stepped back to avoid physical contact.
Missy knew Sheldon well enough to respect his dislike of being touched. She stopped in front of him. "What happened? Where's Mom?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"It's Georgie's fault!" Sheldon said, looking at me with tear-filled eyes.
{….Alright… I know… I went a little too far back then…. but who can blame a 9 year old child? ugh uh…} - Adult Sheldon.
Missy stared at me as I walked toward her and Sheldon with Connie following close behind.
"Moonpie, what's going on?" Connie asked, her concern evident.
"Sheldon said that you made Dad walk to the park, and he got too tired and had a heart attack," Missy repeated what Sheldon had accused me of, her voice shaking with disbelief.
I couldn't say a word, and Connie wisely remained silent to avoid escalating the tension. But Missy… her reaction was something I never expected.
Missy slapped Sheldon hard across the face. "What are you saying?! It's not Georgie's fault! Everyone knows Dad's overweight, and Georgie just wanted to help him exercise! You're supposed to be the smart one, but you don't see that?"
"But if Georgie hadn't made Dad exercise, he wouldn't have had a heart attack!" Sheldon stubbornly countered, his voice rising.
Missy raised her hand to slap him again, but I caught her wrist and pulled her into a hug. "…It's okay… everything's going to be alright… I'm sorry, Sheldon" I said softly, stroking Missy's back to calm her down.
I turned to Sheldon and gave him a small, reassuring smile, hoping it would ease his anxiety. Sheldon stood there silently, his face unreadable.
Connie broke the silence. "Alright… it's no one's fault. That 'whale' needed exercise to get fit, and he never did it" she said, trying to lighten the mood. But Sheldon still stood there, saying nothing.
I pulled Sheldon into the hug with Missy, holding both of them tightly. "It's going to be okay… Dad's going to be okay…" I whispered, rubbing their backs. Sheldon didn't resist, and I could feel how drained he was.
{…I won't talk about this again…} – Adult Sheldon
Once Sheldon and Missy had calmed down, I let them sit next to me. Missy stayed close, clinging to me, while Sheldon finally broke away from the hug.
"...What's going on here? Why are you all here?" Mary's surprised voice startled us. She stared at Sheldon, who hung his head low. I could tell she wanted to scold him, but her exhaustion won out, and she simply sighed.
"...Do you need anything? Are you guys hungry?" she asked, her tone gentler.
"I want to see Dad," I said, looking at Mary.
"The doctors are with him now. I'll take you in a bit."
"Alright…" What else could I say? I wasn't a doctor; all I could do was wait and pray.
"I need to wash my hands… there are germs here that can kill you…" Sheldon announced, standing up abruptly.
"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked, and before he could answer, I decided, "Let's go, Sheldon."
I stood up and walked with him to the restroom. I couldn't let him see George in his current condition.
As we walked down the hallway, Sheldon spoke up. "...Will Dad be okay?" His anxious eyes met mine.
"Dad's going to be fine." I said, giving him a reassuring smile.
"What if there are complications or something bad happens to him?" Sheldon asked again.
"Shh… Do you know that your thoughts can affect physical health and the progression of illnesses?"
"Yes, I know that. The relationship between mind and body is called psychosomatic, where a person's mental and emotional state impacts their physical health. Are you trying to say we shouldn't worry so Dad can recover faster?"
"Exactly. Our job is to help Dad stay relaxed and avoid stress for a while… oops, wrong hall." I gently turned Sheldon around, steering him away from George's room.
Sheldon shrugged but followed without complaint.

*3rd POV – Future Missy and Sheldon
"Do you remember when you slap me in hospital?" Sheldon ask and looking at Missy.
"Yeah, I remember slapping you… That's about all I can recall" Missy said to Sheldon, looking at him with a half-smile. "So, are you not going back to the company?"
"Oh, how many times will you pressure me about this? You know science is my true calling. Unraveling the mysteries of the universe is the only pursuit worth chasing. Why should I care about money when the great questions of the cosmos await?" Sheldon retorted, ignoring her as he typed furiously on his laptop.
"...You know I'm not the one who wants you to go back, right? It's Big Brother who does" Missy replied reluctantly, causing Sheldon to pause mid-typing.
"Brother? Why?"
"I don't know! Maybe he wants to invent something weird again and make a lot of money? Anyway, are you coming or not?" Missy said, her irritation showing.
"No, I mean, why did he send you to talk to me? Why not come himself?" Sheldon asked, genuinely curious.
Missy sighed. "So, you're not coming? Fine." She turned to leave but stopped when someone walked in.
"Hey, Sheldon, I need to know why the supercollider—oh, hello," Leonard said, entering the room casually but stopping mid-sentence when he saw Missy.
"Hello," Missy greeted him with a warm smile, her standard expression when meeting new people.
Two others entered behind Leonard. "Leonard, wait—oh, hello, gorgeous…" Howard said quickly, his eyes lighting up as he noticed Missy. Raj, meanwhile, remained silent.
"Hello," Missy said again, her polite smile directed at the newcomers.
Leonard, unwilling to be outdone by Howard, turned to Sheldon. "Sheldon, aren't you going to introduce us?"
"Alright… This is Missy. Missy, this is Leonard, Howard, and Rajesh," Sheldon said, introducing them curtly.
"It's nice to meet you all" Missy said warmly, nodding at each of them in turn.
"You too… yeah…" Leonard replied awkwardly.
Howard opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by a voice from behind. "Ma'am, if you don't want to get stuck in traffic, we need to leave now," said a woman standing at the doorway.
"Alright…" Missy sighed. She turned back to Sheldon. "Are you sure you're not coming back?"
"...Let me think about it…" Sheldon said, though Missy knew his answer was final. Science would always come first in his big head.
"Huh… Alright. If you need anything, call Robert. Don't disturb Big Brother, okay?"
Missy looked at Leonard, Howard, and Rajesh one last time. "I'm sorry our meeting was so short, but it was lovely meeting you all. Please keep being friends with Sheldon. My brother really appreciates you."
"Brother?" Howard asked, echoed by Leonard. "Sheldon?"
"She's my twin sister," Sheldon said flatly, turning to Missy again. "...Where is Brother, anyway?"
Missy just smiled at him and left without answering, leaving Sheldon visibly frustrated.
