Chapter 1: [1- Cursed Child]
Note: This is not a reincarnation fan-fic. The MC is not all-knowing and will make mistakes. That's why there will be character development.
Note 2: I'm dumb, and Wuthering Waves is a little too complex for my brain, so if there are any errors, please pardon me. I will try my best to give you guys the best reading experience.
A/N: This fan-fic has heavy gore (saying this cus this chapter also has some gore) if you feel discomfort please kindly leave.
A/N 2: I'm someone who trusts Character development. Current MC may seem clumsy but I'm sure as a reader you guys will understand lastly, meanwhile I'm the author I am also the narrator. The things MC experiences, does, believes, etc... are completely by MC's mind. Every character in this novel has their own life, in my eyes this is what makes a fan-fic truly unique.
Enjoy :)

Renli.
Its meaning was 'humanity (Ren)' and 'kindness (li),' a name given by his parents. Their family was neither poor nor rich; it was generally a good family one could wish for. But everything changed when Renli was born.
From the time he was born, his parents saw a [Tacet Mark] on his right hand, something unheard of.
Resonators were normal in Jinzhou or, to be specific, in the entire Solaris-3. But [Tacet Mark] didn't appear at birth, at least Renli's family hadn't heard of anything like that. That's why they went through several books like "How to Name Your Child - Special Edition with Meaning" before naming their child 'Renli.'
At first, his family saw him as a blessing to their family, thinking Sentinel Jué blessed them.
But things started to go wrong when Renli turned five.
His power went out of control. When his birthday came, a gravitational force appeared all around him, starting slowly at first, but the force became heavier with each passing second—crushing everything inside his bedroom, leaving nothing but destruction.
Hearing all the noise, his parents rushed to his room only to see Renli on the floor holding his Tacet Mark while everything else was reduced to dust, if it even remained.
This sight made his family both excited and fearful. The fear overcame the excitement easily after they fully analyzed the state of his room.
'A bunch of questions appeared in their heads.'
'What if one of us was here when this happened?'
'What if we become victims like his room one day?'
'Is he truly a blessing to our family instead of a curse?'
'What should we do?'
His family couldn't help but question themselves. A seed of doubt grew in their hearts. They loved their son. Even if he didn't have any Tacet Mark, they would still love him. After all, he was the only child they had after ten years of marriage.
But as one said, "Emotions are the weakness of humans."
His family was overwhelmed with emotions, each different from the other. Feelings like sadness, pity, fear, doubt, and many more weighed on them. Both his father and mother looked at each other at the door of his room before taking a deep sigh and deciding to comfort their child first before talking about important things.
This was the day his view of life changed completely.
- Same Day. March 6th, Renli's Birthday for Age of Five. At Night, Inside the Living Room - [1]
"What should we do, Meixia?" Renli's father, named Liuren, asked his wife.
Renli's father was a Resonator, having a Tacet Mark on his back. His hair was black, barely reaching his neck. He also had one purple eye, having lost the other one to a Tacet Discord before his retirement.
"I don't know, dear... I really don't know." Renli's mother, unlike his father, was a normal human without any Tacet Marks. However, she was a scientist who graduated from Huaxu Academy.
Both of his parents were discussing their child—Renli.
While his power was beyond great, it was also dangerous. They feared that if they revealed their child's out-of-control power to the magistrate, Renli would be taken away for 'safety' reasons. But at the same time, they feared their child.
"I-I can't, my love... I love my child, but I value our lives more. I resigned from my job because of you, not because of the child I carried." Finally, after the pregnant silence, Renli's mother spoke. Her tone carried an underlying determination while masking the sadness she felt as she looked at her beloved husband.
"!!" After hearing his wife speak with certainty, Liuren's eyes trembled with shock. Yes, their child was dangerous, but was there a reason to throw him out? They couldn't bear to give him away, but at the same time, they didn't want Renli in their home—living with the constant reminder of his out-of-control powers.
Liuren took a deep sigh as he closed his eyes before opening them again, his gaze now burning with acceptance, though the sadness in them couldn't be hidden by other emotions.
"Haah Very well... You should have some sleeping medicine, right, my love? Put it in our child's glass of milk before bedtime. Tomorrow morning, we'll leave him at the entrance of an orphanage in some random town around Jinzhou," Liuren said to his wife with a serious look as he interlaced his fingers and rested them on the table.
"We should have some; don't worry. Leave it to me." Unlike her husband, she didn't value her child that much compared to how much she valued her own life and Liuren's life. She had outstanding talent in science, yet she retired because of her sheer love for her husband. Not even her child could change that. [2]
(Fix)
While they were discussing two of them failed to notice the white strands of long hair peeking out from the right side of the door. After the parent of Renli finished their plan the hair also disappeared.
That hair was Renli's hair.

P.O.V Renli -
"sob sob W-Why? Why would mama and papa abandon me?" For a child at Renli's age he was fairly smart. Perhaps his parents were overjoyed by the tacet mark he had they completely forgot about his intelligence that doesn't find his age.
Yet despite his intelligence he couldn't understand. Concepts like emotions was completely new to him. After all, he was still a child that didn't even live that long.
Despite him not understanding the situation his intuitions said It's a bad thing, so he did what he is best at and that was crying in his bed while burying his face in his soft pillow.
While Renli was crying, his tacet mark, which was on the back of his hand, glowed faintly. It's was subtle yet made Renli calmer as he stopped crying for a brief moment and looked at his tacet mark.
As if the tacet mark itself was sharing his burdens. 'It' was also crying, Renli didn't know why he felt like this or how he knew it yet he knew it. There was something in his Tacet Mark as his parents called it this strange mark on the back of his hand.
Like that Renli fell asleep without even knowing, the only thing left in his bedroom was his quiet sobs and the glowing tacet mark.
When Renli opened his eyes next day he was not in his bedroom instead in front of an orphanage, to be precise he was in some random alley. He didn't know its exact name but he did read books despite being just five.
'It became true...' Renli suddenly felt lost when he realized the truth about behind his parent's words. This was a place he never seen before, he even remembers the time he opened his eyes for the first time so how can he not remember the place he was currently in?
But to no avail, nothing came to his mind.
This was a completely new place and his parents had thrown him here because of the 'blessing' they spoke of.
While Renli was welcoming and finding new emotions in his mind, his stomach decided to interfere as it let out a small growl signaling how hungry he was and not eating for hours.
The Growl made Renli flinch for a moment, which was normal as he didn't have an empty stomach until now. But he understood instantly as he felt his stomach churning inwards, the hunger he was holding for half a day hit like a brick to his mind.
With that in mind, Renli decided to get up and search for food somewhere. He still believed that his parents would come and this was some kind of birthday present. (A/N: It's a kid. This is normal)

.
5 Days have passed from the moment Renli arrived at Slums.
He learned this place's name when he was going to get robbed. Yes, he had nothing but also had everything to get robbed.
Everyone in the slums was poor, some even dying from hunger. The air around here was full of disgusting and rotten food smell making one churn their nose with disgust.
5 days ago when he arrived—abandoned—here by his family to thrown here. Some thugs cornered him in a dark alley, a place where no one could hear your screams. Even if they heard they would have probably ignored it anyway.
In this place, exile was going to rob him of the food he got from a kind passerby lady as well as his clothes.
Renli's family after all had a good income because of this his clothes were quite expensive. Renli was their first child in a decade, they wanted to go full when they spent for Renli.
But that same generosity made him the target of exiles.
At that moment his tacet mark glowed once more. But this time its effect didn't affect Renli as exiles and exile leader crushed death. They couldn't scream, they didn't feel any pain. It's was an instant death, Renli didn't even know what happened but he knew he killed people.
This thought made him feel disgusted inside his belly, his mind was spinning as he didn't—couldn't—avert his gaze from the 'corpses' if you can call it as it looked more like a meat plump that smashed with a press machine.
And he couldn't hold back anymore as he puked on spot, his legs gave up supporting him making him fall with a loud thud in this deep silence of the darkness.
The smell of punk and blood with the metallic taste of blood in his mouth, he couldn't help but let out a few fresh tears fall down from his crimson eyes to blood and punk stained concrete.
All of this was too much fo his five-year-old mind, he knew the concept of killing and dead but seeing and experiencing was completely different from hearing and reading it.
Renli did not know what to do, he could only cry because he had nothing else to do. Even the hunger he felt for the past few days disappeared at this moment. Everything else blurred for Renli, his hands were clenching concrete so hard that his fingernails snapped, breaking while fresh red blood dripped from the wounds that were opening at his fingertips.
'Why...? Why mother and father would leave me here alone? Didn't they say they love me? Is this how you show your love to people?' Renli couldn't help but think. Concepts like emotions were vague for him but love was by far the most vague one.
If this was how one expresses their love then... Renli didn't want it.
His 'love' for his 'parents' began to change without Renli knew it. Everything he experienced past few days came to breaking point in his childish mind.
One can wonder how did he survive until now?
He didn't drink, didn't eat, didn't wash for past 5 days.
Yet he was still alive.
A Normal human can't survive for 5 days without any water, and for a 5 year old child like Renli this was much lesser. After all children in his age still yet to grow in various things like bones, teeth, etc... He needed nourishment and as well water as a result he needed water more than any other human.
But unknown to him, his tacet mark was why he was still alive. It was changing his body, making him 'adapt' to the situation. [3]
With Renli's last thoughts being about the 'love' his parents were giving to him he fell unconscious.
After a few moments, a white-haired girl approached the dark alley, seeing the 'meat plumps' and a kid her age in the middle of those 'meat plumps' she rushed at him worriedly and checked his pulse, seeing it still pulsing she visibly relaxed with a soft sigh and decided to take the child with her.
She didn't know why she wanted to help this stranger. Perhaps it was because he was the same age as her or perhaps his current situation was similar to hers.

My Update dates are so low. So if there is no chapter for 1 month please don't get shocked It's kinda normal.
[1]: Fun Fact: I gave the MC the same birthday as Jinshi's birthday date.
[2]: Some may say, "You wrote this so the MC can do that, etc., etc.," but no. I believe Renli's mother's love was what we call 'obsession,' albeit a different type. This is also the reason why the MC will have some degree of obsession with certain things. I do not impose my ideas onto the characters in this fan-fic. Please remember that the characters inside the fan-fic have their own personalities, perspectives, and feelings. This is what makes fan-fics and novels truly unique, in my opinion. I am the author, but you can think of me as the narrator too. :)
[3]: No, MC doesn't have an adaptation like Mahoraga or others. His adaptation is way slower and more efficient. as you can see it took 5 entire days for him to adapt a little towards the 'no-need-water' situation. There is other things I want to say but it would be a spoiler.
