Chapter 1074: I Guess I Didn’t Misread Him



Nicole could feel it.

Ethan was about to reach his limit, and soon, he would release it all inside of her.

Half a minute later, a grunt escaped the young man's lips. Nicole felt something hot flowing inside of her, making her body arch her back and shudder as she, too, reached her limit.

The pleasure made the young lady blank out, and when she regained her senses, she found herself inside her Sea of Consciousness.

The crystal blue waters rose up from the sea and merged together, forming her Origin Magic Crystal.

However, this crystal had three shades of color.

Half of it was covered in red, representing Fire Magic.

The other half was blue, representing Water Magic.

Last, but not the least, a golden light faintly shone at its center, like a cat's eye that sometimes appeared in gems on rare occasions.

Nicole could feel a different kind of magic coming from that color.

Out of curiosity, she placed her hand over the golden color, wanting to find out what kind of power it represented.

"Strength," Nicole muttered. "Super Human Strength."

That was the newest ability added to her Origin Crystal, which was the result of her magics' resonance with Ethan's other Legacies.

"Looks like he subconsciously wanted to make you stronger." Baradiel appeared beside Nicole and looked at the Origin Crystal that was now hovering above the crystal clear waters.

"That's so like Ethan," Nicole said softly.

"Aren't you planning to go back?" Baradiel asked. "He's worried about you right now because The thinks you fainted."

Uncontrollably reminded of what she was doing with Ethan earlier, Nicole blushed before disappearing from her Sea of Consciousness.

Baradiel shook her head helplessly before looking back at the Origin Crystal that had now returned to its rightful owner.

"I guess I didn't misread him," Baradiel crossed her arms over her chest.

This confirmed how much Ethan truly cared about Nicole, and because of this, she believed that there was a high chance that Ethan would agree to her proposal.

When Nicole opened her eyes in the real world, she saw a worried Ethan gently wiping the sweat from her body.

"How are you feeling?" Ethan asked. "Did I overdo it?"

"I'm fine," Nicole replied. "Maybe I was just overwhelmed by the fact that my Origin Magic Crystal was been returned to my body. But, I feel something very hot on my abdomen."

She touched the part where the heat was coming from, which made Ethan look in that direction.

The young lady was touching the faint mark that had appeared above her womb, which was similar to the mark that appeared in Chloe, Luna, Lilian, and Illumina.

Truth be told, Ethan still didn't know what it meant. Nevertheless, it still gave him a feeling of happiness because he had left a mark on his lovers' body, which would stay with them forever.

"It's nothing," Ethan stated. "My mark just appeared on your body. It will fade away soon."

Nicole nodded and looked up at the young man, who had returned to gently wipe the sweat from her arm.

"Are you satisfied with doing it just once?" Nicole asked in a teasing tone. "Lily mentioned that you liked to do it multiple times when the two of you were together."

"We can do it as many times as you want," Ethan said. "But for now, you should rest."

Truth be told, Ethan was quite worried about Nicole because he didn't expect that she would faint after doing it once.

However, he thought that it was due to the transfer of power, which made the young lady lose consciousness.

He believed that Nicole was at a state where she needed to consolidate her powers, so he decided to hold back from making love to her a second time.

Sensing Ethan's concern, Nicole decided to stop teasing him and allowed the young man to carry her to the bathroom, so the two of them could wash up together.

However, as the two of them bathed, the young lady couldn't stop herself from play-biting him, which prompted Ethan to bite her back.

Naturally, this escalated until Nicole's moans echoed within the walls of the bathroom as Ethan made love to her a second time.

Fortunately, there were no side effects of their lovemaking, making both of them sigh in relief.

After properly cleaning his lover for the third time, Ethan carried Nicole back to the bed and used his powers to dry her body instantly.

The young lady was already very exhausted, so she fell asleep as soon as her head touched the

pillow.

Ethan looked at the young lady, who had now become his woman, with a gaze filled with affection.

A minute later, he, too, laid down on the bed and hugged her tightly.

Although he had lost his ability to naturally generate magic after finally returning Nicole's Origin Crystal, he didn't mind it one bit.

As long as she would be able to live a healthy and happy life, he was fine with absorbing magic from others through kisses.

But Ethan understood that this would not work in the long run.

His Other Half told him that since his Magic Circuits were now fully healed, it would be ideal if he finally claimed his Promised One, Emma.

By doing so, not only would he regain the ability to use magic, but his own Origin Magic would also become twice stronger.

Ashmedai had declared to the Protector Clans that whoever found him first would gain the privilege of becoming his Promised One.

This wasn't an empty title because Ashmedai himself would bestow that person with a special power, which could supposedly awaken Ethan's Origin Magic in the future.

Not only that, but this lady would also help Ethan unlock a special bloodline power, which belonged to his Grandfather, Balthazar, making him one of the strongest powerhouses in the

world.

Ashmedai knew that Ethan would fight against Progenitors in the future and that the latter needed the power to face them head-on.

This was why he needed Emma's power to unlock this bloodline power, which would no longer make him easy-pickings for Progenitors who wished to make him a vessel.

As Ethan fell into deep sleep, his soul once again appeared in the Astral Plane. There, he witnessed something that made his face turn grim, for someone important to him was currently in danger.
