The moment that they came through these doors, they were surprised by the scene in front of them.

"Boss, is that you?"

It was one of the elders that was standing there in front of them.

The rest of the people were all on the ground. It was unclear if they were alive or not, but it seemed that some of them were still alive since they were still breathing.

As for the other things that were on the ground, they were the remains of the spirit beasts.

It seemed that there were spirit beasts that were in this place as well, but they weren't trapped in the glass vats. It seemed that they had been used as labour by the people of the lab.

So this scene made it even more clear what happened here.

"How was it?" Lin Fan asked the elder while looking at the spirit beasts on the ground.

The elder just calmly said, "They had some strange abilities, but they weren't strong enough to actually put up a fight."

Lin Fan gave a simple nod in response since he already knew that this was the case and he didn't ask the elder anything else as he started looking around the room.

It didn't take long for him to find the other doors that were connected to this room.

One of them was open, which was clearly the one that the elder had entered to reach this room. The other two doors were closed and it was unknown what was behind those doors.

Though when Lin Fan focused on them, he could have sworn that he heard some sounds coming from behind those doors.

It sounded like there were the sounds of fighting and some shouting coming from behind that door.

Lin Fan didn't need to see it to guess what was happening behind this door.

Instead, he turned his attention to the people that were on the ground.

With a wave of his hand, all of them were lifted up off the ground and were made to float there in the air. Though all of their eyes were closed and it was clear that they were unconscious.

At the very least, it seemed that all of them were breathing.

It didn't seem like the elder had killed any of them.

The elder even had a look on his face as if he was saying, "How could I make such a rookie mistake?"

Lin Fan didn't care about stroking the ego of the elder and just raised his hand to gather balls of water in the air. Once he finished gathering those balls of water, he flicked a finger and sent them into the faces of the people he was lifting up.

They all woke up after being splashed with water like this.

Many of them were sputtering since they had been hit right in the face with the water, not knowing what just happened.

When they came back to their senses, they didn't even seem to notice that they were being lifted off the ground. The first thing that these researchers did was look around as if they were trying to figure out the situation.

When they finally did, they turned to look at Lin Fan standing in front of them.

With the way that he stood, it was clear that he was the one that was in charge here.

At the same time, they were cultivators as well.

Even though they were researchers of this lab, these people were also cultivators.

Since they were cultivators, they could tell that the spiritual energy holding them up was coming from Lin Fan.

Though none of them seemed to recognize who he was or why he was doing this.

That was until one of the researchers seemed to notice something.

When this researcher shouted this, all of the others looked at that researcher with questioning looks as if they were asking him who Lin Fan was. It was just that this researcher didn't really have an answer either.

Even though the researcher recognized Lin Fan, it wasn't because he knew who Lin Fan was.

This researcher was one of the ones that had unloaded the goods earlier, so he recognized Lin Fan and his group as the merchants who had brought the goods.

Of course, he was confused why Lin Fan and his group were now doing such a thing.

Well, it wasn't that he was completely confused since he already knew what would happen to the merchants that delivered goods to this base. There was a reason why this base had remained undiscovered all this time.

The best way to silence someone was to make it so that they could never speak again.

So there were many ashes that were scattered around this base.

"I know what you're thinking, but is there really anything to gain from doing this? I know that you must be angry because of what we did, but you should know that this base is supported by the Tie Family. Do you really think that you'll get away with this?"

The researcher said this as if he had full faith in the Tie Family.

It was just like how the client had acted previously.

But of course, he could only act this way since he didn't know what actually happened to the client.

Lin Fan shook his head and gave a snort before saying, "You think that you have any power here? I'm the one that asks the questions."

Ugly looks appeared on the faces of the researchers, but they couldn't refute this. After all, they were all currently trapped by Lin Fan and there wasn't anything that they could do to break free.

So even if there was a part of their pride that wanted to deny this, they really couldn't considering the situation they were in.

Considering the fact that Lin Fan held their lives in his hands, they had no choice but to go along with him.

"Alright, what questions do you have? There's no need for any violence, we can talk things out."

The way that the researchers said this was as if they were filled with confidence.

But then again, these were people that worked as researchers in the first place. Since they worked as researchers, there was no doubt that they had confidence in their own intelligence.

They thought that they would be able to use their intelligence to get themselves out of this.

Only they didn't know what Lin Fan was thinking.

Seeing that they were willing to cooperate, Lin Fan just asked, "What do you know about Tucker?"

None of the researchers seemed to expect the question that Lin Fan asked based on the surprised and confused looks that were on their faces. It took them a while of thinking before it even seemed like they could think of an answer.

But when they answered, they gave the same answer as the client from before.

"The one that made the Tucker Method? Isn't he dead?"

That was the consensus that the researchers came to.

It didn't seem like any of them actually had an idea of why Lin Fan was asking this question. It seemed that none of them actually had an idea of who Tucker was.

There was a part of Lin Fan that almost faltered when he saw them acting like this.

There was a part of Lin Fan that even started to believe that this Tucker might not even be alive anymore and what they were using was just his research. However, if that was the case, there were still things that couldn't be explained.

So he threw out this idea and just came to one conclusion.

"They aren't high enough to know about this, huh?" Lin Fan muttered under his breath.

He really wasn't saying this for anyone. It even seemed like he was saying this to himself as if he was trying to convince himself of this.

But he then asked, "Tell me where the head researcher of this facility is."

The researchers looked at each other before one of them said, "I'm actually one of the head researchers."

Lin Fan couldn't help revealing a surprised look before asking, "One of them? How many of you are there?"

The one that claimed to be a head researcher said, "There are six of us in total and each of us control one of the six side labs."

"Side labs? Then there must be a main lab. Who is the one that controls that?" Lin Fan asked with narrowed eyes.

The head researcher immediately revealed everything when he felt the pressure from Lin Fan, "It's the director. He's the one that runs this facility and is in charge of the main lab."

"Director." Lin Fan said to himself before asking, "Where is that director now?"

The head researcher once again didn't have any hesitation as he said, "At this time, he should be in his office."

Then he looked at one of the closed doors that were in this room.

It seemed that he was gesturing to show that this was the way to the director's office.

Lin Fan gave a simple nod without saying anything else.

If the head researcher didn't know anything, the only thing that he could do was hope that the director of this place would know something.

Seeing that Lin Fan didn't say anything, the head researcher asked, "I've answered all your questions, will you let me go now?"

He didn't say us, he said me.

Humans really were selfish when their lives were on the line.

They only cared about themselves.

It was just that Lin Fan had no intentions of letting them go.

With a snap of his finger, there were balls of water that appeared around their heads and they started to drown.
