When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 98: Spectators!!!

Far away on the desolate Ice Continent, surrounded by a palace of shimmering ice that reflected the hues of an eternal aurora, sat Guy Crimson, the self-proclaimed "Strongest Demon Lord." He lounged on his crystal throne, a glass of crimson wine in his hand, a sly smirk playing on his lips. Before him floated an enchanted crystal ball, its surface alive with scenes of Rimuru and Tempest's bustling activity.

For weeks now, Guy had been monitoring the slime-turned-demon lord. Initially, his interest had been piqued by the absurdity of a slime achieving the rank of Demon Lord—a feat unheard of. But as time passed and reports from his demon spies piled up, Guy found himself genuinely intrigued. Rimuru wasn't just another lucky monster with overblown ambitions; he was cunning, powerful, and charismatic, drawing allies from all races and forging an empire that rivaled even the older demon lords.

Guy's Initial Interest

One of Guy's most loyal demon spies, Mischa, had brought him the first reports months ago.

"My lord, there's been... an anomaly."

Guy, reclining lazily on his throne, had raised an eyebrow. "An anomaly? Do tell."

Mischa bowed deeply. "A slime named Rimuru Tempest has recently become a Demon Lord after defeating and absorbing the Orc Disaster. He's also allied with Veldora, the Storm Dragon."

At the mention of Veldora, Guy had sat up straight. "The Storm Dragon, you say? That idiot's finally gotten himself involved with someone? Interesting..."

Mischa continued. "It doesn't end there. He has united monsters of all kinds into a nation and established what they call the 'Jura Tempest Federation.' Even humans and dwarves trade with them."

Guy had laughed at that. "A monster nation? That's bold. And humans willingly working with them? I'll give him points for ambition."

Now this is interesting."

He leaned forward, his smirk widening. "Keep a close eye on this Rimuru. I want to know everything he does."

Milim's Visit

Months later, as Guy continued to monitor Rimuru, the restless winds heralded the arrival of a guest: Milim Nava, another Demon Lord known for her unpredictability and immense power. She burst into Guy's palace without warning, her bright pink pigtails bouncing as she stomped through the icy halls.

"Guy! I heard you're spying on someone! What's going on? Are they strong? Can I fight them?"

Guy sighed, swirling his wine. "Must you always be so loud, Milim?"

Milim ignored the jab and plopped herself onto the armrest of his throne, peering at the crystal ball floating before him. It displayed an image of Tempest, Rimuru's vibrant city bustling with activity.

"Who's that?" Milim asked, pointing at the screen.

"Rimuru Tempest," Guy replied. "A slime-turned-Demon Lord. He's been making waves lately."

Milim blinked. "A slime? Really? That's weird. But cool! What's he done so far?"

"He built a country full of strong monsters and even tamed Veldora."

Milim's eyes widened. "Veldora?! That big, scaly blowhard is working for a slime?!" She leaned closer to the crystal ball, her curiosity growing. "He must be strong if Veldora's listening to him. Can I fight him?"

Guy laughed. "Patience, Milim. There's no need to rush. Rimuru's enemies are lining up for him. Let's see how he handles them first."

News of the Attack

Weeks later, Mischa returned with urgent news. "My lord, Clayman, Frey, and Carrion have mobilized their forces to attack Tempest. They're using the Falmuth army and even Charybdis as part of their plan."

Guy chuckled darkly, his crimson eyes glinting with amusement. "So, the puppet master finally makes his move. Frey and Carrion too? How predictable. They're all ganging up on the slime."

Milim frowned. "Frey and Carrion? Why would they do that? They're not bad people!"

Guy shrugged. "They're opportunists, Milim. Rimuru's new, untested, and they probably think he's easy prey. Besides, alliances in our world are rarely built on trust."

Milim crossed her arms, looking conflicted. "But Frey's my friend. And Carrion... he's not so bad either. What if Rimuru kills them?"

Guy smirked. "Then they'll only have themselves to blame. This is war, Milim. If they lose, it's because they were too weak."

Milim pouted. "You're so mean, Guy. But... I guess you're right. Still, I want to watch. This is going to be fun!"

The Day of the Battle

On the day of the battle, Guy and Milim gathered in his throne room, the crystal ball displaying a live feed of the battlefield.

As Rimuru's forces clashed with Falmuth's remnants and Charybdis soared through the sky, Milim leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Wow! Look at that dragon! Rimuru's people are really strong!"

Guy nodded, sipping his wine. "Noir, Benimaru, and the others are impressive. Rimuru's built himself quite the army."

When the scene shifted to Rimuru confronting Clayman, Frey, and Carrion, Guy's grin widened. "Oh, here we go. The main event."

Milim watched nervously as the three Demon Lords squared off against Rimuru. "Do you think Frey and Carrion can beat him?"

Guy chuckled. "Not a chance. Rimuru's stronger than they realize. This is going to be a massacre."

Milim bit her lip, her usual excitement tempered by concern for her friends. "I just hope Rimuru doesn't kill them..."

Guy's gaze never left the crystal ball. "If they lose, it's because they underestimated him. That's the price of arrogance in our world."

Guy's Reflection

As the battle unfolded, Guy found himself increasingly impressed by Rimuru. The slime's calm demeanor, strategic brilliance, and overwhelming power were on full display.

"He's no ordinary Demon Lord," Guy muttered to himself. "This Rimuru might actually be worth my time."

Milim glanced at him, her expression a mix of excitement and unease. "What are you thinking, Guy?"

He smirked. "I'm thinking that this Rimuru might be the most interesting thing to happen in centuries. I'll have to pay him a visit someday."

Milim grinned, her earlier worries forgotten. "Can I come too? I want to meet him!"

Guy chuckled. "We'll see, Milim. For now, let's enjoy the show."
