When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 169: The Tournament of the Gods had begun

The moment had finally arrived.

Across different realms, Whis's body doubles appeared before each fighter, their presence marked by a large, towering door. This door was unlike anything the fighters had ever seen—majestic, covered in golden engravings that seemed to pulse with energy. The sheer divine presence of the doorway radiated power, making it clear that this was no ordinary portal.

As each fighter stepped forward, the door swung open soundlessly, revealing a long corridor bathed in ethereal light. The corridor seemed endless yet short at the same time, twisting reality itself. The walls shimmered, reflecting countless stars and cosmic nebulae as if one were walking through the fabric of space itself.

The fighters felt an immense pull as they took their first steps, their bodies suddenly weightless, as if floating in space. It wasn't teleportation in the traditional sense, but rather, they were being escorted through dimensions by Beerus's divine power.

The Arena – A Realm Beyond Imagination

As each fighter stepped out of the corridor, their eyes widened in awe.

Before them lay the grandest battle arena ever conceived, a planet-sized battlefield, crafted entirely by Beerus himself.

The sky above them shifted colors, at times revealing a cosmic aurora, and at other times appearing as an endless galaxy of stars.

The arena itself stretched far beyond the eye could see, divided into seven unique zones, each featuring different environmental hazards.

Elemental Regions: A section where flames roared like living beasts, another where frozen winds howled, and yet another where the ground was made of shifting sands.

Gravity-Controlled Zones: Some areas where gravity increased tenfold, testing the strength of even the most powerful warriors.

Illusion Arenas: Places where the very fabric of reality twisted and deceived, forcing fighters to rely on instinct rather than sight.

In the center of it all, floating above them, was a magnificent throne, sculpted from celestial stone and bathed in divine energy. Beerus sat atop it, radiating an aura of ultimate dominance, his golden eyes glowing as he observed the fighters assembling before him. Next to him, six thrones stood, occupied by his wives, each exuding their own overwhelming presence.

As each fighter emerged from their portal, they looked around in wonder, surprise, or curiosity at the arena before them.

Team Rimuru's Reactions:

Rimuru (appearing in his human form) casually glanced around, taking in the grand architecture. "Well… this is definitely over-the-top," he muttered, hands in his pockets.

Guy Crimson smirked, crossing his arms. "I must say, Beerus has taste. This is more refined than I expected."

Milim looked around with sparkling eyes. "THIS. IS. AMAZING!!" She hopped around, testing the ground beneath her feet. "I can't wait to fight!"

Leon took a deep breath, analyzing the battlefield. "This is beyond anything I've fought in before…"

Draguel, the massive giant, stood unfazed, rolling his shoulders. "Hmph. A battlefield fit for true warriors."

Luminous let out a soft chuckle. "At least Beerus understands how to put on a spectacle."

Ramiris, the least combat-focused, looked nervously. "Uhhh… guys? This might be a little TOO intense…"

Goku appeared next to Vegeta and immediately whistled. "Wow, this place is something else! I can feel the energy from the arena itself!"

Vegeta smirked, arms crossed. "Tch. This is nothing. We've seen crazier."

Jiren remained silent, simply closing his eyes and taking in the feeling of the battleground.

Frieza let out a chuckle. "Heh… Beerus really knows how to create a dramatic setting. I approve."

Piccolo adjusted his turban, scanning the battlefield. "We'll have to be careful. This isn't just a normal fight; the terrain itself is a challenge."

Gohan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, the environment could give someone an advantage."

Top looked around, clenching his fists. "This will be a true test of our strength and justice."

As the fighters stood in perfect alignment before him, Beerus's voice boomed across the battlefield, his tone carrying the weight of a god's decree.

"You have all trained, you have all prepared, and now the time has come. This is no ordinary battle. This is a test of STRENGTH, STRATEGY, and ENDURANCE. The weak will fall, and only the strongest will remain standing."

He gazed at both teams, his golden eyes glowing.

"Some of you are arrogant. Some of you believe yourselves to be the ultimate beings. Today, you will either PROVE your worth or be cast aside as nothing more than forgotten warriors. Your skills mean NOTHING if you cannot adapt. Your power means NOTHING if you cannot endure. And above all—your pride means NOTHING if you CANNOT WIN."

The sheer force of his words sent a shockwave through the air, shaking the battlefield beneath them.

Then, Beerus smirked, his expression shifting from divine authority to amused anticipation.

"Now… entertain me."

With a snap of his fingers, the battlefield erupted with divine energy.

One by one, the fighters vanished in a flash of light, instantly transported to their designated battle zones.

Rimuru vs. Goku – A celestial battlefield, surrounded by floating asteroids and shifting gravitational fields.

Guy vs. Jiren – A volcanic arena, with flames rising from the cracks in the ground.

Milim vs. Frieza – An icy wasteland, where the cold would sap the energy of weaker beings.

Luminous vs. Piccolo – A dense jungle with towering trees and dangerous beasts roaming.

Draguel vs. Vegeta – A metallic wasteland, with shifting platforms and deadly traps.

Leon vs. Top – A battlefield high in the sky, suspended on floating islands.

Ramiris vs. Gohan – A mystical labyrinth, filled with illusions.

As the fighters landed in their respective arenas, the air became thick with tension. They stared at their opponents, each knowing this would be a fight unlike anything they had ever experienced before.

The ground cracked beneath their feet.

As Guy and Jiren stared each other down, the air between them distorted from the sheer pressure of their combined power.

Jiren narrowed his eyes, his muscles tensing. "Let's see if you're as strong as they say."

Guy Crimson let out a confident chuckle, his red aura flickering like hellfire. "I was hoping you'd be more talkative, but I'll take what I can get."

BOOM!

The battle exploded into action as the two warriors clashed with immeasurable force, shaking the entire battlefield.

The Tournament of the Gods had begun.
