When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 168: Tournament Structure

Beerus and Whis spent days meticulously planning the tournament structure, ensuring it would be a spectacle worthy of the strongest warriors across dimensions. The concept of team battles was a new twist. Each team would have to balance individual strength, strategy, and the endurance to help their teammates when necessary. Beerus envisioned this tournament as a grand test not only of power but also of teamwork and tactics.

The arenas themselves were crafted with complexity in mind. Whis suggested creating dynamically shifting environments to challenge even the most seasoned fighters. With a wave of his staff and Beerus's divine will, they constructed multiple battlefields on a newly designed planet.

Elemental Arenas featured raging firestorms, frozen tundras with biting winds, and deep underwater zones where even the strongest would need to adapt.

Gravity Zones shifted between extreme gravity that pinned fighters to the ground and zero-gravity areas that required precision movement and energy control.

Illusion Arenas disoriented fighters with deceptive terrain, mirages, and echoing sounds, forcing them to rely on instinct rather than sight.

The most unique aspect was the team-based format. Fights would occur simultaneously, but as fighters won their matches, they could join ongoing battles to assist their teammates. This created a layer of strategy beyond raw strength—teams had to decide who to save and how to manage their resources.

The Matchups will be as follow:

Rimuru vs. Goku.

Guy vs. Jiren.

Milim vs. Frieza.

Luminous vs. Piccolo.

Draguel vs. Vegeta.

Leon vs. Top.

Ramiris vs. Gohan.

Beerus and Whis convened in Beerus's realm, the God of Destruction reclining lazily on a golden throne while his angelic attendant stood poised and attentive. Having finalized the tournament structure, Beerus looked to Whis.

"Now, it's time to inform both teams about what's coming," Beerus said with a smirk. "I want them to have enough time to prepare. It wouldn't be fun if they were caught completely off guard, after all."

Whis nodded. "Indeed, my lord. But should we approach them directly? The Demon Lords of the Cardinal World, as well as Goku's team, deserve to know exactly what they're getting into."

Beerus waved a hand lazily. "Yes, yes, just explain everything to them—rules, matchups, all of it. I'll let you handle that part. And make sure the body double I left back in our old world handles Goku and his team properly. I want no mistakes, Whis."

"Of course, my lord," Whis replied with a bow, his ever-present smile in place. "I'll make sure everything is executed flawlessly."

With that, the two Whis—Beerus's angelic attendant and his body double—prepared to meet both teams.

The original Whis descended upon the Cardinal World, choosing to meet each Demon Lord in their respective domains. Using his angelic staff, he appeared before each ruler, bearing the message of the tournament and observing their reactions.

Rimuru in Tempest

Whis arrived at Rimuru's grand throne room in Tempest, the capital bustling with energy. Rimuru sat casually, surrounded by his trusted subordinates. As Whis's radiant form materialized, the room grew silent.

"Rimuru Tempest, I bring a message from Lord Beerus," Whis began, his voice calm yet commanding.

Rimuru tilted his head. "Oh? Is it about the tournament?"

Whis explained the tournament structure, the dynamic arenas, and the matchups. Rimuru listened intently, his expression curious but cautious.

"So, these fighters… are they strong?" Rimuru asked.

Whis's smile widened. "Very strong. They hail from a dimension where battles are fought on a cosmic scale. They've faced gods and tyrants, much like yourselves. I assure you, they are formidable opponents."

Rimuru leaned back, thinking aloud. "Interesting. If they're as strong as you say, this might be a good challenge. I'll need to prepare."

Whis nodded. "Do not underestimate them. The tournament will test not just your strength but also your strategy and endurance. Good luck, Rimuru."

Next, Whis appeared before Guy Crimson in his grand ice palace. Guy, lounging on his throne, greeted Whis with a smirk.

"Well, well. If it isn't Whis. What brings you here?"

"A rematch perhaps?"

Whis bowed slightly. "Lord Beerus has instructed me to inform you of the upcoming tournament and the details, You will face warriors from another dimension, beings of incredible strength."

Guy's smirk widened. "Incredible strength, you say? I hope they're not all talk. I'd hate to be disappointed."

Whis chuckled softly. "Oh, you won't be. One of your opponents, Jiren, is known as the strongest mortal in his universe. I believe you'll find him quite the challenge."

Guy's eyes gleamed with interest. "Good. I look forward to putting him in his place."

Whis then visited Milim in her domain. The energetic Demon Lord practically bounced in excitement when she heard about the details of the tournament.

" Fighting strong people non stop?! It will be fun!" Milim exclaimed.

Whis smiled. "Your enthusiasm is admirable, Lady Milim. Your opponent, Frieza, is a cunning and ruthless fighter. Do not underestimate him."

"Frieza? What kind of name is that? Sounds like someone I can crush!" Milim declared confidently.

In her opulent castle, Luminous Valentine greeted Whis with her usual air of elegance.

"Interesting tournament" she says, sipping from a goblet. "And my opponent is this… Piccolo? What kind of fighter is he?"

Whis explained Piccolo's Namekian heritage and his exceptional skill in martial arts and strategy. Luminous nodded thoughtfully.

"Very well. If he's as strong as you claim, I'll take this seriously," she said with a faint smile.

Whis traveled to the land of giants, where Draguel greeted him with a booming laugh.

"Ooh, so basically fighting one after another, interesting? Sounds like fun!" Draguel said. "Who's my opponent?"

"Vegeta, a Saiyan prince with immense pride and power," Whis replied.

Draguel grinned. "A prince, huh? Let's see if he can handle the might of a giant."

Leon Cromwell listened carefully as Whis explained the tournament structure.

"So, my opponent is Top? What should I know about him?" Leon asked.

Whis described Top's Justice Pride and immense physical power. Leon nodded. "He sounds like a worthy opponent. I'll be ready."

Finally, Whis met Ramiris in the kingdom of Celesterra.

"Huh! Why do I have to fight?!" Ramiris whined.

Whis smiled. "Your opponent, Gohan, is formidable. But you should see this as an opportunity to prove your strength."

Ramiris sighed but nodded. "Fine, fine. I'll do my best!"

Meanwhile, Beerus's body double Whis met each member of Goku's team in their respective locations.

Goku and Vegeta

Whis first visited Goku and Vegeta, who were training in a remote area.

"This tournament sounds exciting!" Goku said, grinning.

"Who are our opponents?" Vegeta asked.

Whis explained the matchups, and both Saiyans were eager to face their challenges.

Frieza smirked when he heard about the tournament. "I'll crush this Milim character. No one is a match for me."

In Universe 11, Jiren and Top listened stoically as Whis explained the tournament. Jiren simply nodded, his resolve unwavering, while Top declared, "Justice will prevail!"

Finally, Whis informed Gohan and Piccolo, who began strategizing immediately.

"We'll be ready," Piccolo said confidently.

With both teams informed, the countdown to the tournament began. Each fighter prepared in their own way, their excitement and anticipation growing. The stage was set for a clash of worlds, and Beerus could hardly wait to witness the chaos.
