What if Boros survived(OPM)

Chapter 12: Meeting God

The alien opened his eye, shocked to find that the world around him had completely changed.

Instead of the barren wasteland he had been in moments ago, Boros now found himself in an entirely different realm. A colossal structure, resembling the surface of a planet, loomed before him, seemingly gazing down at him.

"What the hell?" exclaimed Boros. "Where is this place?"

"Boros…" a deep, resonating voice called.

"You wanted to know more about God…"

"Well, here I am."

A cold chill ran down the alien's spine. The power he felt was far beyond anything he had ever encountered, far greater than his own.

The overwhelming sensation of this superior presence began to crush Boros's confidence.

"Are you scared?" asked God. "No need to be."

"I do not wish to kill you… not yet, at least."

"Though that might change depending on your answer."

"What answer?" Boros responded, his voice steady despite the fear creeping into him.

"You wish to fight strong opponents," said God. "The ultimate foe for you right now is the fist that has turned against me."

"But you are far too weak to face it in your current state."

"What are you talking about?" Boros asked, feeling more uneasy with each passing second. "I thought I was the one who turned against you. That centipede said as much."

"That is also true," replied God. "There are two fists that have turned against me."

"You… and the bald one."

"Sooner or later, I will deal with both of you."

"It is only a matter of time before I find a vessel capable of holding enough of my power to destroy you both," God explained.

"Which brings me to my offer."

"Become my vessel, and in exchange, I will grant you power beyond your wildest dreams."

"With it, you will be able to match and even defeat Saitama."

"The resulting battle will surely satisfy your craving for a worthy fight. It's a deal that benefits both of us."

Boros considered the offer for a moment. It was a lot to take in.

A bead of sweat rolled down the alien's face.

For the first time in his life, Boros felt genuine fear.

"Heh…" he thought. "You've got to be kidding me."

He powered up, a blue aura flaring around him.

"I am Boros, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves. There's no way I would ever accept such an offer."

The alien's voice grew stronger. "Send any assassins you want my way."

"I'll take them all down."

"And after I do, I'll come for you too."

"Insolent fool," God shouted, his voice reverberating across the strange realm.

"Have it your way. Your final hour is approaching."

........................…

Suddenly, Boros returned to the real world, as if nothing had happened.

The alien dropped to his knees, breathing heavily. Cold sweat covered his face.

"What was I thinking?" Boros exclaimed. "Challenging that… thing to a fight?"

"It's stronger than me… much stronger."

"If I want any chance of victory… I'll have to train myself. Just like Saitama did."

His body trembled as he slowly got back to his feet.

Yet, even as he shook, a creepy grin spread across his face.

The existence of such a creature ignited a new fire in Boros. The idea of one day fighting this being pushed him forward. He was looking forward to the challenge, after some training, of course.

Suddenly, a blast erupted from the ground, and two figures emerged.

"Finally, we're out," said Saitama.

"My scanners detected an impossible change in altitude, followed by everything flipping upside down," Genos analyzed.

"For a moment, there was no gravity at all."

"Then, our altitude normalized, and a massive crash occurred," he continued. "Finally, I picked up a life signal right above us and blasted us out. Just what in the world happened?"

"Ah, Saitama," greeted Boros. "You missed out on a lot," he added with a smirk.

"You can tell me about it later," Saitama replied with a casual expression, clearly uninterested.

"Right now, I just want to go back to my apartment."

A realization suddenly struck Boros.

Saitama's apartment, along with the entirety of City Z, was now buried dozens of kilometers underground.

The alien gave the two heroes an awkward look, rubbing the back of his head.

"About that…"

...................

In the end, most members of the Monster Association perished in the impact of the continent.

Gums and Fuhrer Ugly died in one of Homeless Emperor's blasts.

Homeless Emperor was killed during the emergence of the mega-mountain.

Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind were not in the base and remained unaffected.

Sage Centipede was destroyed by Boros.

Gouketsu, Overgrown Rover, and Phoenix Man managed to escape unharmed.

Psycho-Orochi perished in the planetary impact.

Evil Natural Water's tank was destroyed, but the creature itself escaped.

As for Platinum S, a hand emerged from the rubble at the edge of the impact zone.

A battered and cracked Platinum S clawed his way out of the debris.

"Damn you, Boros…" he muttered.

"Just a second longer, and I would've escaped unharmed."

"But no… I had to be at the edge of the continent's impact."

"If I'd been closer to the center…" he thought bitterly.

"Haaaa… I swear I'll come back stronger than ever. And when I do, I'll kill you!"

.....................…..

Meanwhile

A couple thousand kilometers away, Tatsumaki lay unconscious.

A figure approached and gently tapped her shoulder.

"H-hey, are you alright?" King asked.

The green-haired esper slowly opened her eyes.

"King!" she exclaimed.

"W-what happened to that monster?"

"Did you kill it?"

"What monster?" King replied, confused.

Later that day, the Hero Association received a report from Tatsumaki outlining the events.

The report concluded by stating that King had defeated the monster responsible for flipping the continent.

The entire association breathed a collective sigh of relief.

"Leave it to the strongest man on Earth to get the job done, I suppose," Sitch remarked.
