Chapter 809: Too Much Scandals

Villain Ch 809. Too Much Scandals

One by one, they began to log off, their avatars flickering out of existence as they disconnected from the virtual world. Jane was the first to go. "See you guys tomorrow!" she called, her voice lingering for a moment longer.

Vivian followed, her usual calm demeanor intact as she waved to the group. "Bye, everyone," she said, her image fading away.

Shea, Bella, Alice and Larissa logged off simultaneously, exchanging quick goodbyes with the rest. "Take care, guys," Shea said, her tone warm and reassuring. "Catch you later," Larissa added, her usual confidence evident even in her parting words.

Zoe was the last to leave, her serious expression softening into a smile. "Don't stay up too late," she advised Allen, her concern evident. Then, with a final wave, she too disappeared, leaving Allen alone in the chamber.

Allen sighed. He took a moment to appreciate the stillness before he, too, logged out. The darkness was replaced by the soft glow of his room once he removed his VR device.

The twilight sky was visible through the large window beside his desk, the hues of purple and orange blending beautifully in the fading light. Allen stretched his body, feeling the stiffness from hours of his gaming session. He approached the window, drawn to the tranquil scene outside.

The view was breathtaking, the kind of twilight that made everything look serene. Allen felt a surge of contentment as he gazed out. He thought about grabbing his camera to capture the moment but quickly realized the impracticality of it. This was his personal space, a view he couldn't share for privacy reasons.

Instead, he reached for his phone and snapped a photo before he set the photo as his new wallpaper. Allen then stood by the window for a while longer, soaking in the view.

Allen should have gone out, maybe grabbed dinner or caught up with Emma. But instead, he found himself drawn to the tea bar in his room. He filled the kettle and set it to boil, the soft whir of the appliance a soothing background noise. Allen poured the hot water over the tea leaves, watching as they unfurled and the water turned a delicate green. It was a ritual he found strangely comforting.

With his steaming cup in hand, Allen moved back to the window. He took a sip of the green tea, its warmth spreading through him, and let out a content sigh. The flavor was rich and soothing, a perfect match for the peaceful scene before him.

'I feel like an old man,' Allen thought, a wry smile tugging at his lips. It was an odd feeling, this contentment with such simple pleasures, but he couldn't deny the peace it brought him.

A sudden knocking sound came from the door. The gentle yet firm rapping broke the silence, pulling him from his reverie. He turned towards the door, setting his empty cup down on the windowsill.

"Come in," Allen called, his voice calm but curious.

The door swung open to reveal Kai, standing with his usual composed demeanor. "Dinner is ready, sir," Kai announced, his tone respectful yet professional.

'Why does he still call me 'sir'?' Allen thought. He frowned, glancing at the clock on his nightstand. "Isn't it a bit early for dinner?" he asked, his eyebrows knitting together in mild confusion.

Kai maintained his composure, his hands clasped behind his back. "Mr. Jordan decided to give Miss Azura a proper welcome," he explained. His eyes met Allen's briefly.

Allen's frown deepened slightly. "Is Dad home yet?" he inquired, a hint of anticipation in his voice.

"Not yet, sir," Kai responded smoothly. "But he'll be home soon." Discover exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

Allen nodded thoughtfully."Okay," Allen said finally, his voice steady. "I'll come down in ten minutes."

Kai gave a small nod, his face a mask of professionalism. "Very well, sir," he said before turning and leaving the room, the door closing softly behind him.

Left alone again, Allen let out a sigh. Allen quickly finished his tea and set the cup down gently, a small clang echoing in the quiet room. Glancing at the clock, he realized he had just enough time to freshen up. The gaming session had left him a bit sweaty and disheveled, and he wanted to be presentable, even if it was just a casual dinner.

He moved swiftly to the bathroom, peeling off his clothes and stepping into the shower. Despite his haste, he took a few seconds to relish the warmth, feeling it soothe his muscles. He stepped out less than ten minutes later. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he moved to the mirror, quickly drying off and running a comb through his damp hair.

He grabbed his favorite perfume, a light, crisp scent that he found comforting and invigorating. A few spritzes were all he needed, the fragrance settling around him pleasantly.

Pulling on a clean t-shirt and a pair of comfortable sweatpants, he took a final look in the mirror. His hair was neatly combed though a bit messy, his skin fresh, and the subtle scent of his perfume lingering around him. He might be dressed casually, but he felt ready for the evening ahead.

Satisfied with his appearance, Allen left the bathroom and headed towards the dining room. Allen hurried out of his room, his footsteps quick and purposeful as he descended the stairs. He reached the bottom of the staircase and made his way to the dining room, where the sound of hushed voices and the occasional clink of cutlery met his ears.

As he entered, he saw Azura and Emma already seated at the dining table. Azura had changed her clothes and looked refreshed, her hair neatly styled and her face radiant. The outfit she wore was one of the comfortable yet elegant ensembles provided by the mansion, a clear indication that neither she nor Emma had gone out or had any intention of canceling their plans to hang out.

Allen settled into his seat at the dining table, his eyes flicking between Azura and Emma as they both remained engrossed in their phones. "Oh, you guys haven't hung out yet?" he remarked casually, breaking the silence that had settled over the room.

Azura looked up, a dry smile playing at her lips as she turned to face Allen. "We wanted to, but the forum is blowing up with a ton of interesting news today," she explained, her tone tinged with excitement.

"There was drama, and an informant just dropped a bombshell about finding the emperor's hideout." Azura's expression turned serious as she leaned closer to Allen, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Believe it or not, it's close to the Haunted Forest where we were hunting earlier," she revealed, her words carrying a weight of significance.
