Chapter 808: He is My Boyfriend!
Villain Ch 808. He is My Boyfriend!
The portal shimmered and rippled as they stepped through, depositing them back at the familiar gates of the Cursed Crypts. The massive stone structure loomed before them. The eerie glow of the crypts' torches cast long shadows on the stone walls. Instead of heading inside, the group lingered outside the gate.
Alice let out an exasperated grunt. "I bet they'll make another thread about us on the forum," she said, rolling her eyes. The forums were always buzzing with gossip and speculation about them, and today's events were sure to fuel the chatter.
Bella nodded in agreement, her expression one of resigned acceptance. "Yeah, I'm sure of that," she said, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. The notoriety was something they had grown accustomed to, even if it could be a bit overwhelming at times.
Jane fluffed her hair with a satisfied smile. "We surely have created a lot of scandal today," she said proudly, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Shea glanced at Jane and smirked, his playful nature surfacing. "Is that supposed to be a complaint? Why do you sound proud of that?" she teased, her tone lighthearted.
Jane grinned wider, her confidence undiminished. "Not a complaint, of course. I'm so happy with all the attention," she announced, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.
Larissa added her own observation. "The attention is more for Allen though than us," she said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. Enjoy new chapters from My Virtual Library Empire
Allen let out a long exhale, running a hand through his hair. "Give me a break. This is too much for me," he said, shaking his head in mock despair.
Vivian poked Allen's cheek teasingly. "Hey, at least your ex doesn't get the attention she wants," she said with a playful tone, her eyes dancing with mischief.
Zoe glanced at Vivian, a slight cringe on her face. "You surely hold a grudge on Sophia," she remarked, her tone carrying a mix of curiosity and concern.
Vivian's smile turned into a smirk, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Oh, I am holding a grudge on her," she admitted, her voice taking on a sharper edge. Her expression darkened as she continued, "You don't know how annoying she is every time we meet at the agency," she said, her eyes burning with a fierce annoyance.
Bella, sensing the rising tension, grimaced at the mention of grudges. "Can we stop talking about grudge, please?" she whined, her voice carrying a note of discomfort. "That makes me think of the monster from earlier," she added, shuddering slightly.
Allen could sense the conversation starting to drift into dangerous territory. He raised his hands to call for a truce. "Okay, let's cut the conversation here, okay? Have mercy on Bella," Allen said, his tone firm but playful. He cast a sympathetic glance at Bella, who quickly seized the opportunity.
Bella darted behind Allen, peeking out from behind him like a child hiding behind a parent. "Yeah, have mercy on me," she whined, her voice taking on an exaggeratedly cute tone. She even batted her eyelashes for effect, which elicited a grimace from Alice.
Alice crossed her arms and huffed. "Oh no... Allen keeps defending Bella today. I think she will melt in no time," she said, her voice dripping with mock exasperation. She glanced away, trying to appear nonchalant, but her eyes betrayed her amusement. "Or someone will call me or come to my place just to scream like a fangirl on my face again," she added, her voice dropping to a murmur.
Bella's playful demeanor shifted instantly, her pout replacing the smile. "Hey, I never did that!" she complained, her voice tinged with genuine frustration.
Alice turned back to her, a smirk playing on her lips. "Not yet. But that doesn't mean you never will," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Bella, not one to back down, quickly grabbed Allen's hand. "Well, he is my boyfriend! So that's normal, right?" she said, her voice a mixture of defiance and affection.
Alice sidled up to Allen's other side and took his other hand. "He is also my boyfriend," she announced, pouting slightly as she looked up at him.
Allen sighed and shook his head from side to side, feeling a mix of amusement and exasperation. "Really, you two?" he muttered, though a small smile played on his lips. "I'm you guys' boyfriend. We've talked about this before, right?" he stated, his voice carrying the familiar tone of someone who's had this conversation more than once.
Bella smirked proudly, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "That means I can fan-girling him, right?" she declared, her tone half-joking but with a hint of genuine excitement.
Alice clicked her tongue in annoyance and rolled her eyes. "Ugh, you're impossible," she muttered, though the corners of her mouth twitched upwards slightly, betraying her amusement.
Allen, sensing the need to change the subject before things got too heated, asked, "Anyway, I want to take a break. Do you still want to continue or not?"
Shea raised her hand slightly, her voice casual. "Well, I also want to take a break," she said, her tone mirroring her fatigue.
"Me too," Jane chimed in, stretching her arms above her head and letting out a small yawn. "I could use some downtime."
"Same," Vivian added, leaning back against the wall and closing her eyes for a moment, as if savoring the brief respite. "We've been at this for hours."
"Yeah, all of us simply want to check the gaming forum again," Larissa said bluntly, her words causing the others to snap their heads in her direction.
The group stared at Larissa, who wore a smug smile. "I know you guys think the same as me," she said confidently, her eyes challenging anyone to disagree.
Zoe took a deep breath, her shoulders rising and falling slowly. "You got us," she admitted, a wry smile tugging at her lips. "It's like you read our minds."
Allen chuckled, the tension in his shoulders easing. "Well, I guess it's decided then. Let's take a break."
