Chapter 542: Quickly Use That Move

After the Giant Zombie fell to the ground, like the other zombies in the village, it did not turn to ash or burst forth with Song Stone, nor did the wandering fruit appear thereafter.

Ma Lu knew the battle had not ended.

Sure enough, about half a minute later, the headless corpse on the ground shakily stood up, followed by other headless zombies in the village, rising one after another.

They seemed guided by something, stumbling towards the Giant Zombie, which then stretched out its large hand, grabbed the smaller zombies that approached, and violently embedded them into its own body.

In no time, the volume of the Giant Zombie had expanded several times, towering to a height of seven or eight meters, its appearance becoming more and more abstract.

It now had dozens of arms and legs but not a single head; jaggedly inserted into the nape of its neck were more zombies, those which it had assimilated still flailing their limbs.

The Hou De students and teachers had never seen such a scene and stood petrified.

After a moment, it was Instructor Zhong who first snapped out of it, crying out, "Damn it, it's a Mutated Disaster Zone!"

By the time he shouted these words, his face had lost all color, and he was visibly panic-stricken.

"What is a Mutated Disaster Zone?" Ma Lu asked earnestly.

"A Mutated Disaster Zone is a very rare occurrence within catastrophe belts," said Teacher Jing, swallowing hard, her body trembling slightly.

"The chances of encountering it are about one in a thousand, the monsters inside look similar to those in ordinary disaster belts.

However, the final battle against the lord dramatically increases in intensity, sometimes even jumping two or three levels; it's a veritable Talisman Master killer.

"According to the statistics, the survival probability of Talisman Masters encountering a Mutated Disaster Zone, is less than 7%…"

Teacher Jing almost broke into tears by the end of her explanation, and the other students turned ashen upon hearing her words.

They had never imagined such unfortunate luck – facing a Mutated Disaster Zone on their very first cleaning mission.

Could it be that heaven had truly abandoned Hou De?

After all, except for Cao Youyi, all the Hou De staff and students were here.

Amidst the pervasive atmosphere of despair, only Ma Lu remained composed.

He glanced at the Traveler's Bracelet on his wrist and noticed that the effect of "Dignity Candy·Basic" would last for less than three minutes.

He still had 15 education points left, theoretically enough to buy another "Dignity Candy·Basic."

But the boost from just "Dignity Candy·Basic" was unlikely to be enough to defeat the formidable enemy before him.

Thus, Ma Lu grabbed Teacher Jing who was beside him.

"Use that move you used before, one more time."

"Which... which move?" Teacher Jing was bewildered.

"The one where you can control the flying knife from afar."

"Are you talking about the Gold Control Talisman...? But my flying knife is too small; it's hardly going to harm that monster."

"It doesn't matter; just use it." Ma Lu's tone was firm.

Hearing this, Teacher Jing could only take out a golden talisman, muttering the spell quietly, and the next moment, the mysterious symbols on the talisman lit up.

Simultaneously, a small knife flew out of Teacher Jing's handbag, as she cautiously maneuvered it, adjusting its airborne position and angle.

Then, with a wave of her hand, the small knife shot straight towards the monster!

However, just as Teacher Jing had feared, the flying knife, less than four inches long, was clearly insufficient against the monster's massive body.

And without a head, the monster had no weak points from top to bottom.

The flyer burrowed into its left shoulder, eliciting no response from the creature.

And while Teacher Jing attempted to recall the flyer, a sudden wave of dizziness swarmed her brain the next moment. She knew this was a sign that her spiritual power was on the brink of being exhausted.

At this point, the monster finally ceased its fusion. It had transformed into a horrific behemoth nearly ten meters tall, with hundreds of arms and legs, dragging its enormous body towards them.

The students and teachers of Hou De were petrified, even forgetting to run away. The terrifying oppression emanating from the creature was unlike anything they had encountered in previous battles.

That thing... definitely possessed strength beyond a Level 1 Lord; Second Level, no, it must already be at Level 3 strength.

Even for top university graduate Talisman Master squads, a Third-level Disaster Zone's Lord was an incredibly formidable foe.

Not to mention the perennial laggards of Hou De.

Ma Lu had already spent 12 education points to purchase a "Copy Cookie" from the property mall, and had swallowed it, leaving only 3 education points remaining on him.

At the same time, the effects of "Dignity Candy·Basic" were also down to the last two minutes.

But, it was enough.

Ma Lu had copied the Gold Control Talisman Teacher Jing had just used. It was as if his immense spiritual power had found an outlet, furiously pouring into the talisman paper that materialized in his hand.

And Ma Lu also mobilized his spiritual power to search for nearby metallic objects.

The next moment, the Hou De students were astonished to find their weapons coming to life, slipping from their grasp, and rising into the sky.

Not only weapons but also keys, pocket watches, and all metal items on their persons began to float up.

Soon after, knives, iron pots from cooking stoves, hoes, and shovels, and other agricultural tools flew out from nearby homes, gathering in this direction.

They formed a giant sword in the sky, ten zhang in length!

And the giant sword continued to grow as knives and pots collided in the air, clinking and clanging together.

Everyone was captivated by this bizarre scene, even the monster couldn't help but halt its steps, lifting its non-existent head to gaze upwards.

It sensed the dangerous aura emanating from above.

At this time, the teachers and students of Hou De had already identified the instigator of it all.

"Principal! It's Principal Ma! Principal Ma has taken action again!" someone exclaimed excitedly.

Below the towering giant sword stood a solitary figure.

Despite being of ordinary human stature, the presence exuded by that figure seemed already to have overtaken the massive creature opposite.

Ma Lu glanced at the Traveler's Bracelet on his wrist.

It was about time.

Imitating Teacher Jing, he waved his hand and shouted, "Go forth!"

The giant sword in the sky seemed to understand his command, swinging ferociously and cleaving the grotesque creature on the ground in two.

But it didn't end there. Subsequently, the giant sword exploded, transforming into countless smaller swords which shot towards the Monster Lord once more.

Although the smaller swords didn't carry the same terrifying power as the giant one, their assault was increasingly fierce, slicing off pieces of the creature like carved duck, now and then. Enjoy more content from My Virtual Library Empire

With over a thousand little swords working in unison, the slicing was swift and, in less than half a minute, the mountainous Monster Lord was reduced to the size it had been when Ma Lu first encountered it.

The zombies that it had forced into its body now turned into broken bones and minced flesh, and it couldn't escape the same fate.

In under another half minute, not a single Zombie remained on the ground.

From that pool of filthy blood and flesh, an apple tree began to sprout.
