Chapter 282: Four People Traveling Together

_____

"It's very similar to Murasame's secret technique," Aoki observed, his tone calm and unsurprised.

This reaction wasn't without reason.

First, considering the example of Kurome, it was evident that the blood demon arts associated with these imperial weapons were likely linked to the abilities of the weapons themselves.

Second, the fact that Akame had wielded Murasame for so long already hinted at deeper connections.

"What are the specific effects?" he asked.

In a flash, Akame appeared by the door.

"Increased strength and speed," she replied.

"Simple and crude," Aoki remarked.

This straightforwardness was consistent with Akame's personality—direct, efficient, and powerful, without unnecessary complexity. For someone specializing in melee combat, strength and speed were the two most critical attributes.

Moreover, with Murasame in her possession, Akame had little reason to worry about offensive power.

"In addition," Akame continued, lifting Murasame so that the blade reflected her crimson eyes, "I can harness Murasame's murderous aura, resentment, and death energy to further enhance my body."

Aoki raised an eyebrow. "What's the cost?"

"It gradually destroys my body," Akame explained. "The longer I use it, the faster the damage progresses. If I overuse it, my body will destroy."

Aoki nodded thoughtfully. "Acceptable."

For humans, this ability was akin to a "Demon Disintegration Technique," a powerful but self-destructive move. For demons, however, it was more like a high-risk burst skill that couldn't be sustained for long.

"Hmm!"

A groggy sound interrupted their conversation. Esdeath had woken up, sitting up slowly.

"Esdeath!"

Akame's expression darkened instantly. Without hesitation, she lunged forward, Murasame slicing toward Esdeath's pale neck with lethal precision.

Esdeath, however, showed no signs of disorientation. Her cold, stormy eyes met Akame's attack head-on.

A sudden gust of icy wind swept through the room, freezing the air.

Akame vanished, reappearing above Esdeath with her blade poised to strike. She gripped Murasame with both hands and aimed for Esdeath's head.

In response, Esdeath raised her hand, conjuring a long sword of ice in an instant.

Clang!

The clash of Murasame and the ice sword sent sparks flying as the weapons separated. Akame leaped high into the air, twisting mid-flight to deliver another powerful slash.

Esdeath countered with a swift motion, pushing herself up with her hands and flipping over. Her long, straight legs shot upward in a kick, ice coating her feet.

Boom!

Akame was sent flying again.

A look of impatience crossed Esdeath's face as cold air enveloped her body, transforming her into an icy figure. A powerful chill spread outward, freezing the sheets and rapidly dropping the room's temperature.

"Ahem, that's enough!"

Aoki decided he couldn't let this escalate further. With a wave of his hand, an invisible domain expanded outward.

The space around Akame and Esdeath solidified abruptly, freezing them mid-motion.

Their vision blurred, and when they regained clarity, both found themselves seated back on their respective beds.

They turned to Aoki simultaneously, shock evident in their eyes.

Aoki remained calm.

"If we were outside, it might take some effort to stop you," he said evenly. "But here, in this transformed alien space, even a five-star expert wouldn't intimidate me."

Turning to Akame, he added, "I promise you—Esdeath will never return to your world."

Akame hesitated, glancing at Esdeath before finally sheathing Murasame. The blood-red runes on her body faded away.

Although she didn't fully understand the situation, she trusted Aoki.

Aoki shifted his gaze to Esdeath, studying her intently for several seconds.

"What are your abilities?" he asked.

Esdeath's final move had clearly been a form of vampiric magic. Like Akame, she had awakened her blood demon art immediately upon becoming a demon.

This wasn't surprising.

Both Akame and Esdeath were exceptionally strong. Even Muzan Kibutsuji would have been no match for them.

Esdeath's expression remained blank as she explained, "I can transform into an ice being, eliminating all vital points. At the same time, my ability to control ice is greatly enhanced."

Aoki felt a sense of déjà vu. He pondered for a moment before realizing something.

Isn't this just a weaker version of the Ice-Ice Fruit?

He imagined Esdeath and Aokiji from the One Piece world facing off.

Well... that's definitely not possible right now.

Previously, Esdeath's strength was at the three-star level. Even with the additional power of a two-star demon, she would still be no match for the four-star Aokiji.

If she wants to fight someone like Aokiji, she'll need much stronger power.

"You stay here and familiarize yourself with your new abilities," Aoki instructed Esdeath before turning to Akame and Kurome.

With a simple motion, he took them out of the alien space.

---

The trio suddenly appeared in a clean and tidy room.

Akame glanced out the window. "Is this the imperial capital?"

"That's right," Aoki confirmed.

"How long was I unconscious?"

"Not long, just over a week."

"And what about Esdeath?"

Aoki turned to Kurome and said, "You explain everything to her. Once you're done, we'll leave directly."

Leaving Kurome to handle the explanation, Aoki avoided the task of recounting the events himself.

Kurome shot him a look but didn't bother to chastise him for shirking responsibility. Instead, she nodded seriously. "Got it."

She already had a rough idea of what had happened from Aoki.

Once I leave, I might not return for a long time.

However, now that her sister also possessed immortality, they had plenty of time to wait for a reunion.

Without another word, Aoki disappeared from the room.

---

"Kurome, what's going on? Leave? Where are we going?" Akame pressed.

"Big sister," Kurome said with a smile.

---

The sun set, and night fell.

Aoki returned to the hotel.

Akame and Kurome were sitting side by side, but when they saw him, they stood up simultaneously.

"Have you finished talking?" Aoki asked.

Kurome said nothing and looked at her sister.

Akame stepped forward. "Aoki, I want to go with you."

"Hm?" Aoki looked at her in surprise. "Are you sure? Once we leave, we might not return for a long time."

Akame met his gaze steadily. "That's why I want to go with you."

Aoki hesitated briefly. "Did Kurome tell you our goal?"

Akame nodded. "It sounds a lot like Night Raid's work."

"It's similar, but not the same," Aoki replied vaguely before asking, "What will happen here if you leave?"

"The threat from Esdeath has been resolved," Akame said calmly. "The new nation will stabilize soon. I'm no longer needed here."

"Alright then."

Aoki didn't argue further. He had come here seeking allies, and Akame volunteering was a boon he wouldn't refuse.

However, a strange thought crossed his mind.

Am I kidnapping all the strongest people in this world?

Esdeath was undoubtedly the strongest in the world.

Akame, with Murasame's life-risking ultimate ability, was the only one capable of defeating her.

Kurome, though weaker initially, was now a formidable summoner. With her four super-dangerous beasts, her strength rivaled that of Esdeath and Akame.

Right now, they're the three strongest people in this world.

Shaking off the thought, Aoki turned back to Akame.

"Is there anything else you need to do?"

"No," Akame replied. "I already said goodbye to Najenda and the others this afternoon."

"Then I'll send you to the other dimension," Aoki said, adding, "Oh, and don't fight with Esdeath again!"

"Don't worry," Akame assured him.

With that, she extended her pale, delicate hand toward him.

Aoki asked blankly, "What for?"

"Snacks!"

Akame stared at him with innocent eyes. "There should be a portion for me, right?"

Aoki's mouth twitched. "Is this the real reason you want to come along?"

Akame suddenly looked a little shy. "It's only a small part of the reason!"

Aoki: "…"

You actually admitted it!

With a sigh, he took out a bag of lollipops and a bag of beef jerky, handing them to Akame. He spoke earnestly, "You need to ration these. There's no stable source for these kinds of things. Once you eat them, they might really be gone."

He had already given up his share.

"I understand!" Akame quickly tore open a lollipop, popped it into her mouth, and smiled with the same happiness Kurome often displayed.

Aoki suddenly felt a pang of worry.

The greedy cat has multiplied from one to two.

At the current rate of acquiring special snacks, there simply wasn't enough to satisfy both of them.

Shaking his head to dismiss these trivial concerns, Aoki focused on the task at hand.

First, he sent Akame and Kurome into the other dimension.

Though he could bring others through his dimensional space, the "unique" experience of traveling through time and space was something only he could feel.

Finally, following the instructions of the world-traveling mark, Aoki located the extreme point. Without hesitation, he activated his skills and left this world behind.
