Chapter 280: Domain Expansion·Time and Space Control

_____

Aoki pondered for a moment, and a deep blue screen materialized before his eyes.

[Infinite Dragon Beast]

Quality: ★★★★

Level: lv30 (574/3000)

Skills: Vengeful Spirit IV, Devouring II, Dragon Breath, Ultimate Form IV

Missions: The End of the World Government, Destroying Families, Destroying Fortresses, Killing the Royal Family, Killing All

Free Skill Points: 4

Aoki glanced at the task list. Aside from "The End of the World Government," all the other missions had been recently triggered by his "Infinite Dragon Beast" class.

And this was only a portion of them.

He had also received missions like "Overthrow the Western Kingdom" and "Massacre the City," tasks so extreme that he dismissed them outright upon seeing them.

Still, completing just two of these missions would provide enough experience to level up.

After closing the system interface, Aoki turned to kurome.

"Let's get out of here first."

kurome nodded without hesitation.

The two figures vanished, leaving the cave in silence. Only the enormous heart remained, suspended in midair, rhythmically expanding and contracting.

---

A Week Later

A bloated man collapsed to the ground, clutching his neck as fear and despair filled his eyes.

[Killed a human. Gained 1 experience point and a revenge treasure chest (1 star).]

["Destroy the Families" mission completed. Rewards issued.]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up.]

"Finally," Aoki muttered as he immediately upgraded "Devouring" to level 3.

Turning toward the grand gates of the manor, he spotted the trembling guards standing there.

Crash!

The guards instinctively took two steps back.

"Do you know what they've done?" Aoki asked coldly.

The captain, clearly terrified, stammered, "Y-Your Excellency, we have no idea!"

"Is that so?" Aoki's voice was calm, but his expression betrayed no emotion.

The captain quickly continued, "I swear on the lives of my entire family that I have no knowledge of what the master—no, this devil—has done. Please believe me!"

The other guards chimed in desperately.

"Yes, we swear on our families' lives!"

"If we're lying, may our entire families perish!"

"Having a family like yours is a curse for eight lifetimes!"

Aoki waved his hand dismissively. A sharp wind blade swept through the air, severing their bodies in an instant.

He had thoroughly investigated the situation before coming here.

This family's crimes mirrored those of the family Tatsumi encountered upon first arriving in the imperial capital. However, unlike that family, which relied on deceit to oppress rural villagers, this one ruled their territory like tyrants, committing atrocities with impunity.

These guards were not just complicit; they were active participants in the violence.

Ignoring the system notifications in his mind, Aoki disappeared, leaving behind a deathly silent, once-luxurious manor.

---

Back in the massive underground cave, the colossal heart floated in midair, pulsating rhythmically as if it were alive.

Aoki's figure materialized suddenly.

"Let's see what kind of bloodline this is," he murmured.

He floated closer, extending his palm to touch the heart's surface.

Immediately, the flesh began to melt and corrode his hand.

Aoki remained unfazed. With a mere thought, an invisible force radiated from his palm.

Boom!

The oversized heart recoiled violently, tightening as though it were a frightened insect.

At the same time, the invisible vibrations that had been subtly interfering with the minds of living creatures intensified dramatically.

For dangerous species, whose intelligence was generally low, these mental waves were devastating. However, for beings with higher intelligence, the effect was negligible.

Aoki remained motionless, his expression unchanging.

After a few tense seconds, the mental shockwaves abruptly collapsed.

The massive heart began to shrink rapidly—from the size of a house to that of a cabinet, then to a washbasin, and finally to the size of a fist.

Finally, the heart condensed into a single drop of thick, viscous blood.

This was the true essence of the super-large heart—a concentration of blood power formed from absorbing the flesh and vitality of countless dangerous species.

The drop fell onto Aoki's palm and was instantly absorbed. A torrent of fragmented information flooded into his mind, rapidly reorganizing itself into coherent knowledge.

"It feels like something is missing," Aoki muttered, furrowing his brow.

Drawing inspiration from an idea, he retrieved three silver beads from his inventory.

Before he could act further, the silver beads merged directly into his body on their own.

An invisible force erupted, surging through his form. Aoki's body underwent a dramatic transformation as he involuntarily assumed the form of a dragon-man.

After what felt like an eternity, Aoki slowly opened his eyes, his expression filled with astonishment.

"This super creature... it's not just spatially attributed. It possesses both time and space attributes!"

Among the four super dangerous species, only the four-winged dragon had inherited traces of these attributes. The other three hadn't even touched the edge of this power.

"What a pity," Aoki said with a hint of regret.

It became clear that this super creature was likely far beyond a mere four-star existence.

The bloodline extracted from the oversized heart was incomplete.

The silver beads he had absorbed were actually fragments of the super creature's essence, containing portions of its bloodline. While their integration had partially compensated for the missing components, the bloodline remained far from whole.

"This creature might have been a five-star lifeform—or even higher," Aoki speculated.

He began to suspect that this being could be one of the primordial origins of the dangerous species inhabiting this world.

Even though the bloodline was fractured, the benefits it provided were immense. Aoki could feel the level of his "Infinite Dragon Beast" bloodline edging closer to a breakthrough.

If he managed to push it further, the quality of his bloodline would likely ascend to an entirely new tier.

An increase in bloodline quality meant an improvement in his profession's rank, raising its upper limit and enhancing his attributes.

Fortunately, he still had an open slot for "Devouring," providing an opportunity to further refine his bloodline.

"Although the skill description of 'Devouring' mentioned a chance to enhance the profession's quality, I never held much hope for it," Aoki admitted with a wry smile.

He hadn't expected this outcome—almost achieving the impossible by sheer coincidence.

"If the bloodline had been complete, the quality of the 'Infinite Dragon Beast' bloodline would have already upgraded," he mused.

Still, there was no point in dwelling on what could have been. This was a pleasant surprise, and future opportunities to enhance his bloodline quality would arise.

For now, the immediate benefit lay in the abilities he had gained from the fragmented bloodline.

"Domain Expansion!"

Aoki clasped his hands together, and invisible waves radiated outward from his body, forming a spherical field.

This was his new ability—the domain of time and space.

Within this domain, time and space could be manipulated to a limited extent. Absolute control over such forces was impossible, even with a complete five-star bloodline.

However, within the field, Aoki could indeed exert some influence over the flow of time and the fabric of space.

Satisfied, he deactivated the domain.

The gains from this encounter were substantial, though not without cost. The silver beads had been consumed entirely, leaving him without a backup reserve.

"I didn't think too much at the time," Aoki reflected. "I just used them because I knew they'd benefit me."

He raised his left hand, where the faint glow of a silver flower shimmered on the back of his palm.

Fine.

He had only absorbed the blood power from the beads, reserving their remaining energy for a recharge.

"Otherwise, it really would've been a loss," he thought with relief.
