Chapter 417: Not A Hero.
"Especially you, Umbra, keep your eyes to the light and look out for me, shudder in your little corner, lament at your fate and despair, your days are numbered."
"Jeez..." Usami stared at the message. "He just showed up after a year and a few months of being absent and he immediately wages war against the Grand Collective again."
"Mama? Uncle is back?" Gia asked sitting across the office Usami was seated in, playing with a doll. "Can I go see uncle?"
"What, right now?" Usami jokingly leaned over the table, staring at Gia with a chuckle, however before she could even make another passing joke a man barged into the office holding his phone, in one hand and a laptop in the other.
"Madam President, have you seen this message, is this the same Sol Vestic that we all know about, what is the Grand Collective, is the nation at risk of a terrorist attack?"
"What are you talking about?" Usami quickly composed herself again, taking her seat while the man came around and placed them before her, sure enough, Sol's broadcast was playing across both screens simultaneously, not just those, but for every device, in every language.
Across the Sol Collective and beyond, expanding through the Grand Collective using devices to jump to other devices and using their software to hack into others, within Just a few minutes the entire Grand Collective knew who Sol was, what his goals were, and where his intent laid.
"Oh my god..." Usami stood and picked up her phone, dialing an unregistered number from memory and waiting a few seconds.
"Hello?"
"Eve-"
"Usami ...Madame President, have you seen it too?" Eve answered as soon as she realised who was on the other line. "Is this really him, has Sol Vestic returned?"
"It seems that way," Usami nodded, undoing the first button of her blouse and ripping her tie off with a smile. "I'm gonna go check right now-"
"Ma'am, please wait!" Usami's assistant held out his hands barring her from using the door. "You are the most powerful person on earth, the strength you have, the powers you have, if someone as dangerous as this truly exists then the nation needs you now more than ever-"
"Unno," Usami dropped her hands on his shoulder. "I am not the strongest in the world, that Title only belongs to Sol, he is my close friend and the man in charge of protecting this entire universe we call a home, I will send word as soon as I have met him, in the meantime, set up a press conference for tonight and tell everyone to hold tight, if the Master is going public then it means the world is about to change drastically a second time!"
With that brief explanation, Usami vanished in a burst of speed from his sights, and with her the little girl in the corner was already gone.
"At least use an escort, why are you running to someone we've never heard about...?" Unno asked with a depressed pout but then stiffened.
"If the master is going public, then it means the that the world is about to change drastically a second time... did she say he protects the universe!?"
He mused. "She has stated that she knows what changed the world, but it was an international secret, she also called him master, who the hell is Sol Vestic?"
"Master, you have incoming-"
"Usami?" Sol, standing on the ceiling of his estate's main building staring across the vallley at the other homes turned and opened his arms. "I haven't seen you in a while, so it's okay-"
"Someone is coming in this direction rather quickly, I suppose she caught wind of your presence, I was not aware she was capable of this level of speed though, this is the realm above a demigod."
Renia leapt up from the ground, and after her came Fuhua and then Arla who were all interested in who it was, but no sooner than their feet touched the tiling on the roof, Sol seemed to be swatted away by an object and in its wake crashed into the backyard leaving a trench and a small crater at the end of it.
"Goodness, she must have missed him terribly," Arla nearly burst out laughing, for them it was a year, but prior to that Sol and Usami had not met in over two years because of his off-earth business and the Emporium.
"Whoa," Sol sat up but nearly fell again with the strength that he was straddled on the ground with. "Usami?" He dropped his hand on her head softly. "It's good to see you."

"Oh my," Fuhua nearly lost her footing when Gia bounced past her making one big leap into the air and calling out with a scream of excitement.
"Uncle!" The little girl screamed.
"Whoa there!" Sol held out his hand, catching her with a large mana arm and slowly lowering her. "How did you get her so fast?"
"Because!" Usami leapt to her feet, taking Gia from the mana cushion and placing her to stand. "You are hard to intercept, Sol Vestic, it's been nearly impossible to get a hold of you for anything!" She waved her fingers at him and then gestured to herself.
"Unlike you, I do not have the powers to travel across the cosmos, not that I could even find you considering you don't spend that much time inside of the collective and when you do you're so far away-"
"I missed you too, Usami," Sol began chuckling, resting his hand on her head again and ruffling her hair. "Look at you, President."
"Her title says [United States President], what does that mean?" Yu asked, walking towards them next to Dina. "And the way she interacts with Master, and the child calling him uncle, could she be his sister?"
"Sister?" Dina raised her brow.
"I would say Usami is in a way his sister, but not by blood, they're just really good friends."
"Dina!" Usami snapped as soon as she heard her friend's voice, rushing across the destroyed garden and grabbing Dina in a hug as well. "I have missed you so much!"
"What the heck!" Dina laughed when Usami began spinning with her. "Usami!"
"Is this any way for the president and most powerful person on earth to be acting?" Ikaris came floating down with Arla, Fuhua and Grecia coming behind her.
"Oh my god you look stunnung, Ikaris!" Usani released Dina causing her to spin, disoriented as she grabbed Ikaris in a forward hug and held her cheeks. "God... you're as beautiful as ever, shit, I could totally fu-"
"Oi!" Ikaris huffed and began peeling the taller woman off herself.
"Wow, she sure knows how to control a greeting, hm?" Jenifer chuckled watching Usami excitedly greet everyone she knew and then run over to Sol again, hooking herself to his side and smiling at them all while Gia was behind them playing with Talia.
"I am so happy to see you all, this was unexpected," Usami let go of a big sigh and rested her head on Sol's shoulder, smiling at Dina and Ikaris when their hero sigils began humming and lighting up.
"Ma'am!" Unno of all people showed up out of the blue, pausing when he saw Gia and Talia flying in the backyard.
"Finally Caught up hm?" Usami chuckled. "Did you pass down my orders, Unno?"
"Yes, madame President."
"She became president, that's kind of cool isnt it?" Dina bumped Usami's shoulder with a grin. "You've really made the best of this world havent you?"
"You have no idea, it was a unanimous decision after I did a little public service two years ago."
"By public service, she means she quited every warrring nation and made them open their borders in a matter of months," Renia snickered.
"Well, enough about me, Sol," Usami turned to him. "Where have you been for the last year and a half?"
"Outside of the grand," Sol looked over at Alpha who had just reappeared and the Maid nodded, clapping her hands and completely repairing the garden and backyard as well as conjuring a formal outdoor setting for everyone to relax a bit while they caught up.
"What the..." Unno stood there, staring at Alpha in complete disbelief. "Miss-"
"Please, have a seat and relax a little sir, the fact that you are here means that Lady Takae values your presence."
"This is weird," Unno nodded obediently and sat at the far end of the table closest to Keele and Jenifer who were both just happy to be around, watching Usami casually speak to Sol without knowing who the man was. "Am I the only guy here aside from him?"
"The others will arrive in a bit, and then afterwards we'll all go to G.Gamma for a full debriefing as well as to start planning for the battles ahead," Sol informed Usami. "We'll also be visiting Arkadia on the way, you could meet..."
"Eris...?" Usami frowned. "
"She turned her back on us, Sol, she left Ikaris when she was at her most fragile, even if she couldn't do a lot at the time she ran away from us when we all needed her; I don't think I ever want to see her again."
"She's no hero, nor is she a friend... just a fraud who ran away."
