The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 416: Your Days Are Numbered.

"Once again, I find myself falling into comfort because of how happy everyone seems," Sol sighed, resting his hand on Dina's leg and his forehead against her bosom.

"We can't leave everything in the state that it's in, though," Dina hugged his head, caressing his hair with a sigh. "Master... you made a promise."

"I know," He nodded against her. "I know, it's just..."

"You have said it before," Dina smiled, sighing with her chin atop his head. "If everything was like this all the time, life truly would be a blessing."

"It already is," Sol smiled and wrapped his hands around her waist. "It already is."

"How long has it been?" Dr'ul asked, seated in the lounge of the Vestic estate on Earth. "I know that he has already arrived because I have not seen Alpha since the day we sensed his presence."

"I want to agree with your impatience, sister," Renia responded from next to her. "Master has arrived for a little under a month now, but has not shown himself at all, I miss him too."

"Huh, no, that is not-"

"I mean, you do miss Sol, do you not?" Renia asked and saw the goddess of war stiffen in her seat.

"O-obviously, but that is beside the point that I was trying to make, sister."

"Just admit what you mean then, when did you become so indirect?" Renia began laughing when she saw Dr'ul getting flustered because of her taunts.

"Whatever..." Dr'ul shook her head and grabbed Renia's cheek. "What I mean is, as the ruler of the collective we share and the person most equipped to deal with the threat of darkness over our heads, Sol should have already shown himself to at least let us know that there is hope!"

"Dr'ul..." Renia shook her head and rested her palm against her sister's cheek. "As long as Sol Vestic exists, there will always be hope, you do not need to go searching for it, his light finds us."

"Well said," Cecelia, having been on the opposite side as a spectator, nodded, sipping from a glass of wine and raising it to them. "Master Vestic's return will be celebrated, even if he shows up a year from now."

"Aye," Renia reached for her own glass, raising it to Cecelia and joining the toast.

"Presenting, his eminence,"

"Ppwhat?!"

"I see you've kept the seats warm in our absence," Ikaris spoke first, pushing the door open herself and boastfully walking in, and right behind her was Dina with Arla and Grecia following suit.

"Your Majesties!" Cecelia was the first to exclaim and fall to her knees, nearly throwing her drink to the floor as she did so. "I apologise for the state of your home, we would have prepared if we knew that you would have been arriving today!"

"Oh my," Grecia looked at Arla who returned a sheepish chuckle at how strongly they had been greeted.

"My Lord and Lady," Dr'ul and Renia took to their knees next, greeting them with the same levels of respect.

"Little lady," Keele appeared from the shadows next to them, greeting Talia by bowing and taking a knee while she was walking with Jena.

"It is good to see you again," Jenifer appeared on the other side taking a similar posture to her friend as they greeted the little girl they had previously been charged to meet.

"They appeared from the shades, I could not sense them at all," Fuhua exchanged a glance with You who was sharing the same shock that she was.

"Alright, aside from you three is there nobody else here at the moment?" Sol stepped forward, extending his hand and pulling Dr'ul to her feet, dropping his hands on her shoulders with an expression of nostalgia.

"Everyone has been scattered far and wide, my Lord." Dr'ul admitted, dropping her hands on his shoulders in return and smiling with him.

"At a word though, they would all assemble, they have all yearned for your return and that of her High ess who has been absent."

"Is this a call to arms?" Renia asked, standing when Sol helped her to her feet as well.

"You may consider it that," Sol answered, ruffling her hair and then looking at Cecelia who was on both hands and knees with her forehead pressed to the floor as well.

"Such a deeply passionate woman..." You stared at Cecelia on the floor in wonder.

"Yes, before I lost my memories of my childhood here in the grand collective, Cecelia was my right hand, she served as my shield." Ikaris explained.

"And I will continue to do so for as long as milady permits me," Cecelia raised her head, staring at Yu, and then at Grecia and Fuhua.

"Who are these people?" Dr'ul asked first, staring at Grecia.

"We can commit to proper introductions later on, for the time being, yes this is in fact a call to arms, send word to every post, every sector; all that lay within my reach, Sol Vestic has returned."

"Let it be known across every world both inside and outside of my collective, let the Emporium and all their allies know, every god, every primordial, every living being capable of thought, let them all tremble at the promise of my return."

"I have come to finish what I started and there is no world, no star, no barrier or army that's gonna stop me."

"Right away, Master," Alpha nodded and then disappeared.

Moments later, the System window appeared before everyone and the devices in the estate began sounding off with the same message that she had prepared.

"My Lord," Giza slightly hovered above Umbra's shoulder with her arms akinbo, staring down at him after he suddenly stiffened when picking up the beeping device of a woman he had just killed and drained of her mana. "Is there something bothering you?" She asked.

No sooner that she asked this question, the other devices within the vicinity began ringing and vibrating, the broken ships began broadcasting, communication and there was an electric humming in the air as Alpha's unique mana passed across everything leaving Sol's message.

"What the hell is this supposed to mean, is this the same Sol vestic from a year ago?" Ubra asked, confused.

"What do you mean?" Giza, after having her interest piqued dropped her arms over his shoulders and began reading the floating message he was glaring at.

[The Grand Collective has for a long time been in a state of war and chaos because of varying unjust entities, the assassination of the Vatui leaders, the subsequent downfall of the Godslayer clans, which created the problems we now face; this was all orchestrated by the Emporium].

[They have led many races and species to the brink of extinction, some over the precipice entirely, recently they made an enemy they should have left alone, and the name of that enemy is Sol Vestic].

[Most of you have come to call him "the Golden Godslayer," while those who know him directly will tell you he holds the title King of all Heavens].

[Master Vestic has asked me his vassal for communications to convey this message to you, the people of the Grand Collective].

<Emporer Zan'el of the Emporium, two years ago I waged war against you, and ever since then youhave gradually lost the hild you had over your people, your military might has been reduced to your three top generals and several captains and whatever abomination that lays between you and I.

I'm telling you today that your days are numbered, I am coming for your head and I am coming with the wrath of a thousand worlds, billions od people.

I will destroy you, your empire and everything you've spent all this time building, and at the end of it, your throne will never be occupied again, your generations and every living soul affiliated with you will die, Zan'el.

I am coming for it all>.

[And now the message for Master's true enemy, Umbra, the abominable being of darkness that has colluded with the Primordial God, Giza]

<Umbra, I understand what you are and what you stand for, I know why you were made this way and I am claiming full responsibility for your actions, however, you threatened my family, you dared to go after the same reason that I waged war against the Emporium in the first place.

Now, let me be very clear, the next time we meet, the next time I see you; I will eradicate your soul from the face of reality and celebrate your demise with a smile, I'll drink from your fucking skull and paint the soils of my garden with your blood.

There is no hope for you, there is nowhere that you can run, nothing will save your neck, not the darkness you hide in, not the powers you boast, not even not even Giza willl be able to save you from me, I will make an example of you, Umbra, for the Grand to live by.

Especially you, keep your eyes to the light and look out for me, shudder in your little corner and despair, your days are numbered>.
