The Synthesis Wizard

Chapter 223: Chapter 223: This is the Master's Command

"Is this thing called the star core the energy source for Falling Star City?" After the contract was finalized, Sunan turned his attention to the crystal-clear orb.

"Yes," Lize nodded, "It's a unique energy supply device developed by the Starfall Society."

Sunan was curious, "How does it differ from an elemental pool?"

"It has all the functions of an elemental pool and more. The star core can monitor energy particle fluctuations throughout Falling Star City and communicate unidirectionally with anyone within it."

Sunan's eyes lit up. While the energy supply function was standard, the other two functions piqued his interest.

"Is its range limited to Falling Star City?"

"Unless a larger star core is created, a single Falling Star City is the maximum range."

She paused before adding, "However, if it's just for communication, increasing energy consumption can extend the range, but not for long."

Sunan understood, "So you contacted Aida through the star core?"

"Yes," Lize admitted frankly.

Undoubtedly, the star core was valuable.

Without hesitation, Sunan took the star core and stored it in the Rubik's Cube.

Once the energy supply was cut off, the energy fluctuations within the walls, ceiling, and floor quickly disappeared, and the tower fell silent.

"Are there any other resources in Falling Star City?"

Lize shook her head, "No, the Starfall Society erupted in conflict shortly after Falling Star City was completed, leaving no time to input materials. Besides the star core and the tentacle puppet, the most valuable asset is Falling Star City itself."

Sunan felt a bit disappointed.

However, upon reflection, just the star core, tentacle puppet, and vast quantities of white jade were significant gains.

Moreover, there was Lize, a wizard ghost with vast knowledge.

This journey had been quite fruitful.

Since there were no other valuable items, Sunan decided not to linger, taking the grimoire and turning to leave.

At the entrance, Lize looked back at the serene Falling Star City, her gaze complex.

"What do you plan to do with Falling Star City?"

Sunan replied without hesitation, "Take it back and dismantle it for materials."

Take it back?

Lize was taken aback, doubting her ears.

"You want to use Falling Star City's teleportation function? But you've removed the star core. Even if you reinstall it, the star core lacks the energy for teleportation."

"No need for that."

Sunan placed his hand on the wall of white jade, and with a thought, Falling Star City and the black conical mountain beneath it vanished instantly.

Lize was left dumbfounded, her eyes wide.

"How did you do that?" Lize asked Sunan, her gaze incredulous.

Even as a well-informed wizard, she'd never witnessed such a miraculous scene.

A spatial ring?

Impossible. No spatial ring could have an interior large enough to contain Falling Star City!

A demi-dimensional plane?

Even more impossible. Only a true spirit wizard could create a demi-dimensional plane!

If it wasn't those, how did Sunan make Falling Star City disappear in an instant?

"That's a secret."

Sunan didn't offer an explanation as he turned to leave.

No matter how large Falling Star City was, it only occupied one slot in the Rubik's Cube.

The Rubik's Cube didn't have a concept of space size like magical spatial items; it only worked in terms of quantity.

Once Sunan exited the dimensional space where Falling Star City was located, water pressed in from all sides but was held back by his expanded energy shield.

Lize, regaining her composure, didn't press further when she saw Sunan wasn't inclined to explain. She returned to the grimoire.

Every wizard had their secrets, and probing too deeply wasn't wise.

After emerging from the water, Sunan casually instructed Andrea before heading straight back to Dragon Forest.

With Falling Star City secured, he no longer needed to concern himself with affairs in the Rainbow Sea.

The sirens had aligned with the Star Alliance, leaving only the deep-sea Nagas in the Rainbow Sea. Alone, they couldn't compete with the Star Alliance.

In developing the Rainbow Sea, the Star Alliance faced little resistance.

He could leave the rest to his subordinates.

Now, he could focus on training and constructing the wizard tower.

Back in Dragon Forest, Sunan took out the grimoire and released Lize.

"This is... an ecological park!"

Seeing the vast, dense forest in the distance, Lize's eyes showed surprise.

Then her gaze fell on the white tower formed by coiling dragon bones not far away, and she blurted out, "Dragonbone Tower!"

"This is Dragon Forest!"

Sunan raised an eyebrow and asked, "You recognize this place?"

Lize nodded, "I happen to know the master of Dragon Forest, a powerful second-level wizard. Before I became like this, I heard he participated in an expedition to another plane, but I didn't expect..."

At this point, Lize couldn't help but sigh.

Since Dragon Forest was under Sunan's control, it indicated that the previous master had perished.

Only then would an unowned ecological park initiate the inheritance procedure.

Realizing that over a thousand years had passed and the wizards she knew had faded into dust, Lize felt a sense of change and loss.

But soon, she had no time for nostalgia.

Seeing the imposing giant tower standing in the vast woodland, Lize was stunned, her cool demeanor replaced by shock and disbelief.

"A wizard tower!"

Before her was undeniably a wizard tower.

Though Lize hadn't built her own wizard tower, she'd seen many and recognized one immediately.

Even though it was a small wizard tower, it left her deeply impressed.

In the height of the wizard era, a level-one wizard building a tower was rare but not unheard of.

But this was the Starlight Continent, an elemental desert!

In such resource-scarce conditions, how had Sunan managed to build a wizard tower?

It took her a while to recover, turning to Sunan with an expression as if he were an enigma.

"I'm curious, can you conjure resources from thin air?"

Sunan smiled, "This wizard tower isn't fully built yet."

"Even so, by the looks of it, it's only a matter of time, right?"

Seeing Sunan didn't deny it, Lize couldn't help but ask, "How did you manage it?"

"It's simple. By unifying the entire Starlight Continent, I gathered enough resources."

It took Lize a moment to grasp Sunan's meaning, exclaiming, "You unified the Starlight Continent?"

Sunan glanced at her and asked, "Is it difficult for a wizard to unify the Starlight Continent?"

Lize fell silent, her lips twitching slightly.

A formal wizard was a singularly powerful force on today's Starlight Continent, and unifying it wasn't hard.

Pure strength could subdue the entire continent, leaving none daring to resist.

But integrating the continent's forces to gather resources and build a wizard tower wasn't something brute force alone could achieve.

Not to mention, the basic magical treatment of materials for building a wizard tower required many wizard apprentices.

Otherwise, doing it alone would take a century.

Sunan must have a vast, well-organized force collecting resources for him.

And likely, many wizard apprentices were assisting with the massive, complex groundwork.

Not every wizard could achieve this.

Even if Lize regained her body and power, she couldn't do what Sunan did, not even in a thousand years.

Not to mention, nurturing a large number of wizard apprentices was a monumental hurdle.

She didn't have the resources to expend on such endeavors.

For a moment, Lize found Sunan increasingly inscrutable, an enigma she couldn't unravel.

Entering the wizard tower, Sunan led Lize to the control center, summoned Tower Spirit No. 1, and granted her access second only to his, allowing her free movement in most parts of the tower.

With the vow contract's restriction, Sunan wasn't worried about Lize doing anything against him. To enable her to fulfill her assistant duties, he gave her considerable trust.

Afterward, Sunan went to Dragonbone Tower, summoned Butler No. 1, and similarly granted Lize secondary access.

With this, she could move freely in nearly all areas of Dragon Forest.

"I will focus on training and building the wizard tower, so you'll handle the Star Alliance and Dragon Forest affairs. Get familiar with these responsibilities quickly. If you have questions, consult Carolina and Red Widow."

Sunan briefly explained the Star Alliance's structure, leaving Lize to delve into the details herself.

Upon returning to Dragon Forest, Sunan immediately messaged Carolina and Red Widow.

Thus, shortly after he settled in his study, the two hurried over.

"Master."

Carolina and Red Widow bowed respectfully, discreetly eyeing Lize with a hint of surprise.

A ghost?

When did the Master start keeping ghosts?

She's quite pretty, though.

Meanwhile, Lize also discreetly observed Carolina and Red Widow, equally surprised.

A sphinx noble and a vampire? What a combination!

Judging by Sunan's earlier words, these two were undoubtedly core members of the Star Alliance.

Allowing two non-humans to rise so high... could they be Sunan's concubines?

Unaware of the women's private thoughts, Sunan introduced Lize:

"This is Lize Russell, an ancestor of the Russell family and the only wizard in their history. Due to an incident, she's now in ghost form."

Carolina and Red Widow exchanged surprised glances.

They knew of the Russell family.

After all, many members and three instructors at Starlight Academy hailed from the Russell family.

With such a long-standing wizard family joining the Star Alliance, they'd naturally investigated thoroughly, knowing the Russell family had produced a wizard.

But they never expected that wizard to be the ghostly woman before them!

How did she end up here?

Suddenly, Carolina and Red Widow were intensely curious about the incident Sunan mentioned.

But since Sunan didn't elaborate, they dared not inquire further.

However, Sunan's next words shocked them.

"From now on, Lize will serve as my assistant, helping manage Star Alliance affairs. In my absence, she'll handle all matters on my behalf."

Carolina and Red Widow were astounded.

This wasn't just an assistant role.

If true, this woman named Lize would be second only to Sunan in the Star Alliance!

The two women felt a mix of shock and jealousy.

They'd been in the Star Alliance for so long without attaining such power. Why did this woman surpass them immediately?

Did the Master trust her so much?

"Is there a problem?" Sunan asked, his expression calm as he looked at them.

Carolina and Red Widow snapped back to reality, quickly bowing their heads respectfully.

"No, Master."

Sunan squinted slightly, saying nothing.

He understood what Carolina and Red Widow were thinking.

The reason for granting Lize such authority was his belief that, as a wizard, she'd handle Star Alliance affairs better than they could.

Ultimately, the Star Alliance was a wizard organization.

Though it was only beginning to take shape, having a wizard manage it was undoubtedly more stable.

Moreover, Lize, having been a member of the Starfall Society, had more experience in wizard organizations than anyone else.

Sunan only needed to steer the course, leaving the specifics to Lize.

Sunan then summoned Secret Puppet No. 1, handing the grimoire to the puppet girl.

"Secret Puppet No. 1 will now follow your commands."

Lize couldn't venture far from the grimoire. To move freely, someone had to carry it, and a puppet was the ideal choice for the job.

Lize curiously examined the puppet girl.

Her wizard's insight quickly discerned the puppet's peculiarities.

"A puppet made primarily of mithril and diamonds, almost a wizard-level puppet."

Lize pondered silently.

Having arranged everything, Sunan waved the three away.

As they left the study, before Carolina and Red Widow could speak, Lize instructed without looking back:

"Prepare a quiet room and bring all Star Alliance documents there. I need to review them thoroughly."

"Yes, Lady Lize."

Watching Lize and the puppet girl depart, Red Widow glanced at Carolina, barely suppressing a pout.

"Are you okay with her outranking us?"

Carolina remained unmoved, "What else? She's a wizard."

"That was before; now she's just a ghost."

"Still a wizard's ghost," Carolina said with lowered eyes. "More importantly, it's the Master's command."

Red Widow paused, biting her lip in frustration but said nothing more.
