Chapter 29: Chapter 29 Dunk

The tall guy subconsciously glanced at his hand, only to find the ball was no longer there. He then turned his head and saw Jaxon holding the ball.

"It's my turn now," Jaxon said indifferently as he dribbled the ball.

The tall guy's mind was still in a daze; he couldn't figure out how his ball had been intercepted.

"Humph, even if you stole my ball, I can still block you!" the tall guy thought to himself coldly as he faced Jaxon, crouched slightly into a defensive stance, and kept his eyes on Jaxon's movements, ready to intercept at any moment.

The tall guy was right in thinking that Jaxon's basketball skills were average. Jaxon had only played casually with his dorm mates during college and was far from being on the same level as a college team's main player.

However, Jaxon had agreed to the challenge after assessing the other player's abilities through his appraisal skill, and he had a secret advantage. This advantage was his agility and the Tiger's Leap skill that came with his Cloudflow Boots.

His higher agility allowed him to intercept the ball before the other player could react. Now, it was time for the skill from his boots to take effect.

Jaxon casually dribbled the ball as he approached the tall guy. Seeing Jaxon's casual dribbling, the tall guy sneered inwardly, thinking, "He's definitely a rookie. His dribbling posture is so amateurish!"

The tall guy then stepped forward, preparing to block Jaxon's path.

However, as soon as he made his move, he saw a shadow looming over him. Jaxon had jumped—right in front of him! What's more, they were still near the free-throw line, far from the basket.

What was he planning to do?

The tall guy was puzzled, but his confusion quickly turned to anger as he saw Jaxon leap over his head.

The onlookers gasped in shock. In his anger, the tall guy instinctively turned to look at the basket and witnessed something that stunned him.

Jaxon had dunked the ball!

The crowd around them was equally stunned, with expressions of disbelief as they watched Jaxon land. Some girls who saw the dunk covered their mouths with their hands, their eyes sparkling with admiration.

It was so unexpected and shocking that for a moment, the only sound on the court was the "thud-thud" of the basketball bouncing on the floor.

Then, the silence was broken.

"Too cool!"

Whoa, what did I just see? Am I still on campus? This feels like an NBA game!"

"Dunking from that far? That's insane!"

"Handsome! I want to be your girlfriend!"

The scene erupted in excitement.

The tall guy, who had challenged Jaxon, was just as shocked as everyone else, if not more so. As the person directly involved, he was even more astonished.

In college, there were players who could dunk, both in the faculty team and the university team. But who could do what Jaxon just did—jump from the free-throw line and easily leap over his head to dunk? The tall guy was 6'3"!

No one! Not a single person!

Even among professional players, very few could pull off such a feat.

Who was this guy? How could he be so strong? Why hadn't he seen him before?

The cheers around him made Jaxon feel great inside. In fact, Jaxon himself was also amazed by his own performance. He had only intended to show off a bit, but he hadn't expected that his full-force jump, enhanced by the Tiger's Leap skill, would be so powerful.

"Too much, Jaxon. Look at the poor guy. You really hit him hard," Jaxon thought to himself, deciding to tone it down a bit when it was his turn to attack again.

"It's your turn," Jaxon said, handing the ball back to the tall guy and preparing to defend.

However, to Jaxon's surprise, after taking the ball, the tall guy looked at him deeply, then turned around and walked away without looking back.

"Hey, where are you going? Aren't we still playing?" Jaxon called out.

"Still playing? No way! With your insane jumping ability, how can I compete with you? Let you dunk over my head again? Lose face again? Be the background for your performance? I'm not that stupid! No more, absolutely no more!" the tall guy thought, his steps quickening as he left the basketball court, determined not to continue the game.

"Hey, why did he leave?"

"I wanted to see that amazing dunk again."

"Chicken! He can't handle it and just runs away. Come back!"

The tall guy's departure left the onlookers dissatisfied. They hadn't had enough fun and wanted to see Jaxon's incredible dunk again. However, their words only made the tall guy leave faster. He knew that this incident would likely spread across the entire campus quickly, and he would become the background figure in everyone's story.

"I shouldn't have provoked him in the first place," the tall guy regretted deeply as he hurried away, trying to distance himself from the center of the incident.

Seeing that the tall guy had truly left, Jaxon saw no reason to stay either. The intense gazes of the onlookers made him feel both thrilled and cautious. He reminded himself to stay low-key.

For the first time, Jaxon experienced the enthusiasm of the girls. As he left the basketball court, several girls approached him, asking for his contact information. While Jaxon marveled at how bold and proactive the girls were, he, having no experience dealing with such situations, left the court in a bit of a fluster.

"Excuse me, wait a moment!"

Just as Jaxon was leaving the basketball court, he was stopped by a middle-aged man.

Can I help you?" Jaxon asked, looking at the man.

"I saw your performance on the basketball court and was wondering which faculty you're from and what year you are," the man inquired.

"I'm not a student here. I've already graduated," Jaxon replied.

Like the sports field, the basketball court was open to non-students, so Jaxon wasn't worried about revealing his true identity.

"Not a student here?" The man was slightly taken aback and his brow furrowed a bit.

"That's right," Jaxon said. "If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way."

As Jaxon tried to walk past the man, the latter's voice stopped him again.

"Are you interested in becoming a teacher? A physical education teacher?"
