Chapter 58: Chapter 58: The Iron Horn Bull’s Wrath
The heavens trembled as Chan Li's strike sent ripples of divine and demonic energy through the air. The Iron Horn Bull reeled back, its massive hooves digging deep trenches into the battlefield. For the first time, the monstrous beast let out a pained bellow.
Sun City's warriors watched in awe, their eyes wide with hope. But their relief was short-lived.
The Iron Horn Bull's crimson eyes blazed with fury. Its iron-clad muscles flexed, and suddenly, the runes engraved on its horns began to glow an eerie black. The energy it had absorbed from previous attacks condensed into a single, devastating force.
"It's preparing something huge!" Yue Feiyan warned, her fingers gripping her bow tightly.
Chan Li narrowed his eyes, his mind working at lightning speed. "If it absorbs Qi and converts it into raw destructive power, then… we'll have to overload it."
Overloading the Beast
Chan Li shifted his stance, inhaling deeply as his hands formed a seal. The energy around him intensified, swirling into a vortex of divine and demonic Qi.
"Everyone, focus on channeling your Qi towards me," he commanded.
Lin Xuan hesitated. "But won't that make it stronger?"
"Not if I give it more than it can handle. Trust me."
The disciples exchanged glances before nodding. With synchronized movements, they began funneling their Qi into Chan Li. Waves of elemental energy fire, ice, lightning, and wind merged together into a brilliant sphere in his palms.
The Iron Horn Bull let out a furious roar and charged, its horns radiating destruction. But just before it could reach him, Chan Li thrust his hands forward.
"Tai Chi Yin-Yang Collapse!"
A cataclysmic burst of energy shot toward the demon, colliding with its body like a tidal wave. The beast screamed as its own absorption ability backfired. Its body bloated unnaturally as it took in too much energy at once.
Cracks spread across its armored hide, dark mist seeping from the wounds. With one final agonized roar, the Iron Horn Bull exploded in a dazzling display of light and shadow, sending shockwaves throughout Sun City.
Aftermath
The battlefield fell silent. The monstrous threat had been vanquished, its remains dissolving into nothingness.
Chan Li exhaled, his body slightly trembling from the sheer exertion. His disciples rushed to his side, their faces filled with admiration and concern.
"That was insane," Lin Xuan gasped. "You actually made it overload itself."
Yue Feiyan chuckled. "Only our Sect Master could think of using a demon's strength against itself."
Chan Li smirked, brushing off the dust on his robe. "That should teach them not to mess with the Heavenly Mystical Sect."
But just as he turned to leave, a chilling presence swept over them.
"Impressive," a deep voice echoed from the shadows. "But can you handle what comes next?"
A figure emerged a towering being clad in obsidian armor, radiating an aura even darker than the Iron Horn Bull.
Chan Li's expression hardened. "So… the real mastermind finally shows himself."
