The Invincible Sect Leader

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: The Devourer Demon’s Arrival

The battle inside the Shadow Eclipse Sect's ruined temple was barely over when the ground beneath Sun City trembled violently. A deep, guttural roar echoed through the sky, sending shockwaves across the land. The heavens darkened, as if the sun itself recoiled in fear.

Chan Li narrowed his eyes, sensing an immense force approaching from beyond the horizon. The wraiths of the Shadow Eclipse Sect had faded, but a new danger was already upon them.

"Something is coming," Lin Xuan muttered, gripping his sword tighter.

Yue Feiyan's eyes widened as a vast shadow emerged in the distance, tearing through the dense forests outside Sun City. "No… it can't be."

A monstrous figure, towering like a mountain, stomped forward. Its body was covered in jet-black armor-like scales, and a pair of thick, curved iron horns gleamed under the flickering lightning of the storm-ridden sky. Its crimson eyes burned with insatiable hunger.

"The Devourer Demon… the Iron Horn Bull," Yan Ling whispered in horror.

A City Under Siege

Sun City's guards and warriors scrambled to their posts, fear gripping their hearts as the beast's presence sent ripples of dread through the air.

"Defensive formations! Prepare the barriers!" the city lord shouted, his voice barely concealing his panic.

The beast roared again, its massive hooves crushing trees into dust. With a powerful charge, it tore through the first layer of Sun City's defensive array, shattering the golden barrier like fragile glass.

"It's too strong!" one of the elders gasped, stepping back in fear.

Chan Li, however, remained unfazed. A smirk played on his lips. "An iron-horned demon that devours Qi and life force… how interesting."

The first wave of warriors clashed with the beast, unleashing fire, ice, and lightning techniques. The Iron Horn Bull merely snorted, absorbing their energy into its horns before redirecting it in a devastating blast. A dozen cultivators were sent flying, their bodies hitting the walls like ragdolls.

"It's feeding off our attacks!" Lin Xuan shouted. "Direct strikes won't work!"

"Then we adapt," Chan Li said, his fingers forming intricate seals. "I'll handle the monster. You all defend the city!"

As the disciples hesitated, Chan Li launched himself forward, his Tai Chi energy swirling around him like an unstoppable storm.

The Iron Horn Bull roared, recognizing a true challenge. It charged at him, its hooves shaking the earth. But just as its horns were about to impale him, Chan Li vanished reappearing above its head with a smirk.

"Not so fast."

With a single palm strike, he unleashed a wave of pure Qi infused with both divine and demonic energy Tai Chi in its most refined form. The beast reeled, its monstrous body trembling under the impact.
