The Heavenly Winged Dragon's Omni-Gacha

Chapter 3: Gacha Chapter 3: The Tour and Slight Problem

"Sorry about them two, they get a bit... protective of me" Levy chuckled awkwardly, releasing her hold on Solis' arm as they arrived at a wooden board with a whole bunch of posters nailed on to it, "This is the request board, you can take a quest based on your rank and get rewards once you've completed them" She explained, Solis looking at the notices and realising there were different requirements such as "C-Rank Mage Required", "Any Mage Required", etc

Since he was quite unfamiliar with how a mage's ranking worked in this world, other than S-Ranks and their trials from the anime, Solis inquired, "What do all the different ranks mean? As in, how do I move up ranks"

"All fresh mages start off at E-Rank, and you work your way up by doing a number of quests. There's a lot of numbers, so if it's hard to follow along feel free to tell me to stop and repeat-" After giving a slight pause where she saw Solis was following along kindly, Levy gave a nod and carried on with her explanation, "-Completing 30 E-Rank jobs will move you up to D-Rank; 35 D-Ranks moves you up to C-Rank; 40 C-Ranks to move up to B-Rank; and then there's a small jump to 50 B-Ranks to get promoted to A-Rank. Do you understand, or am I going too fast?" She asked thoughtfully, a finger raised which gave off the vibe of a teacher whilst Solis was the student

"I'm following don't worry... what if your strength is higher than E-Rank, or you're a known mage and you swapped guilds or something, do you still start at E-Rank?" He wondered, "Well, occasionally there's exceptions depending on strength, but even if you are really strong the lowest you tend to start is C-Rank. As for what happens if you swap guilds, you most likely won't keep the same rank, but you're unlikely to start off at E or D-Rank if you were previously an A or B-Rank mage" Solis nodded, easily following along to Levy's explanations,

"Are there any like mini-tests when going through a promotion, or does it solely matter how many jobs you do?" He asked, getting a quick nod in response, "Usually, the Guild Master asks you to display your strength to make sure your promotion is suitable to be made... if he's not present, then one of the S-Ranks would do it. And if none of them are present... well, you just have to wait until someone is" She answered with a small giggle, before her eyes widened slightly, "Ah, speaking of S-Ranks: They have a special type of promotion which is held at the end of every year - unfortunately, it's already passed with no one being successfully promoted to S-Rank" She explained with a disheartened sigh at the end,

Looking at the E-Rank jobs, Solis couldn't help but squint his eyes in annoyance as he read the descriptions of them, "My cat is missing, please find it... My field needs picking... My clothes need washing-" Levy began to chuckle meekly at Solis' evident annoyance as he read out the E-Rank Jobs, "Yeah... E-Rank jobs tend to be chores more than anything... thankfully after becoming a D-Rank, you never have to touch them ever again"

"You sound like you're speaking from personal experience" Solis glanced at Levy from the corner of his eye, smirking childishly as he watched her face shrivel in disgust of the memories, "Please don't remind me... I can still smell the toilet to this day..." Her eyes began to well up, the girl pinching her nose as her body shivered, "Would you like to team up with me on my E-Rank jobs?" Solis jokingly offered, the girl's head snapping to face him, horrified as she profusely shook her head side-to-side, "Never again!"

"..." The two looked at each other, silent for a few seconds before breaking into a small laughter, "We've been at the board for quite a while..." Levy looked behind Solis to see a tall man with a bob-cut, "Let's go, we don't want to end up like Nab over here" The man looked in their direction as he heard his name being mentioned, "Come on, Levy... it's hard finding a job to take"

"Yes yes, see you later, Nab!" She waved the man goodbye, laughing as she walked away with Solis before her doing the same as he watched Nab go back to staring at the request board, "Next up is..." She looked around the floor, and noticed there wasn't much else other than the toilets, "The basement, down here" She lead him to a set of stairs which they went down, a quiet and isolate place with many empty round tables and a number of barrels and creates, "This is more of a Storage Area than anything, but it's also a hang-out spot if you want to get away from all the action upstairs" Levy explained, Solis taking his time looking around the quiet place, "Is there soundproof magic or something?" He asked, realising that he couldn't hear the commotion upstairs anymore

"Mhm!", [Good to know] Celeste joked, 'That was a good one - if I could laugh, I would', Solis thought, laughing internally which pleased the A.I. [Thank you],

"I like to use this place when I'm by myself, either this or the library-" At the mention of the library, Levy's voice bloomed manyfold, clearly excited as she clapped her hands together, "Let's go to the library next!" She grabbed him by the wrist and went to pull him, but then realised her action and stopped herself, "Oh, sorry... I got a little excited"

"It's alright, really" Solis said with a light chuckle, easing Levy's worry, "I wanted to check out the library anyway" They began to walk out of the basement, Levy's face shining brightly, "Really? That's a first"

And so, as they walked to the library, they bounced back and forth one another easily, the conversations not being awkward in the slightest as they shared words and laughter with each other, "We're here! The library" Levy opened the doors, causing the lights to flick on and brighten up the room, "So, any particular reason you wanted to check out the library?" She questioned, running off to the Fantasy Section nearby with Solis catching up to her, looking around the massive room in amazement at the size,

"Yeah... I'm guessing there are magic books in here, right?" He asked, craning his neck up high as he looked at the tall shelves holding many books, "Yep, anything in particular you're looking for?" Levy asked, taking the lead once more as they walked to the Magic Book section of the library

"A book on Transformation Magic" He answered, the girl humming before climbing up a ladder which magically slid to the middle of the shelf, the blue-haired girl taking out a book before climbing down the ladder, "Something like this?" Levy asked, revealing the front cover labelled, "Transformation 101: The Basics of Transformation Magic"

"Why the hell is the book on 'the basics' so damn long and thick?!" Solis groaned, causing Levy to laugh at his reaction, "I mean, if you really want to learn Transformation Magic then asking Mira may be your best bet - she's the best at it in the guild" She suggested, before innocently tilting her head to the side, "Is there a reason you want to learn that magic, if you don't mind me asking"

Solis nodded, "No major reason, I just think it would be better in the long-run to hide my wings and face" He said,

"But why!? You should have no reason to want to hide your face-" In realisation of what her words might be implying, Levy came to a halt as her face grew red, averting her gaze from Solis who smiled, "-Because, no one should be ashamed of how they look"

"It's not that I'm ashamed... it's just that I look too good for my own sake" He stated, rubbing his smooth and beautiful face, Levy pouting as she looked at Solis with judgemental eyes, "Narcissistic much?",

[A/N: This ^ was written before I edited the first chapter slightly by changing MC's Appearance from 'Even Aphrodite would feel envious' to what it is now, which is why MC's face was initially seen as a 'problem'. Now though, he's simply very good-looking, but not God-Level just yet]

"Am I lying though?" Solis questioned with a grin, causing Levy to roll her eyes, "Plus, the wings draw quite a lot of attention... not that I mind it, but it could get annoying in the long run" He explained, Levy slowly nodding her head in understanding,

"That makes more sense, too much attention could be bad - especially for a mage of Fairy tail, who knows how many dark mages would want to go after you!" She concluded, Solis bobbing his head in agreement. Shortly after, the boy mentioned how he was bored of standing so they took the opportunity to seat themselves at an empty table, Levy placing the book in the middle of the table,

"Anyway, as for asking Mira..." Solis mumbled a few inaudible words to himself before clearly saying, "Maybe once I'm more familiar with her and the other guild members, but for now I'd rather just learn it by myself... plus, I love to read anyway so there's no problem there"

"I don't think reading magic books count as reading" Levy giggled to herself, Solis stopping her by wagging his finger in front of her face with a sly smile, "I read actual books, thank you very much" He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest with his nose held high

"Oh yeah? What's your favourite genre then?" Levy interrogated, getting into detective mode as she whipped out her Gale Force Reading Glasses from her pocket and pushed them up her nose, causing the light to reflect off of the lens,

"A nice fantasy is always good, I also like a good romance... but keep that a secret, will you?" He shushed with his finger over his mouth, Levy looking around the room to make sure there were no intruders, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me" She whispered, the two giving a thumbs-up of neutral agreement, "What about you?" Solis asked, catching Levy off-guard

"Oh, uh... probably the same, but sometimes I like a good comedy as well" After spending some more minutes talking about different types of books, Solis was eventually stumped as the girl asked, "What's your favourite book?"

"Uh..." He quickly came up with an answer and explanation if it was necessary, which it most likely would be knowing the girl's personality, "Bleach", "Bleach?" Levy questioned with a raised brow, "Never heard of it..."

"I'm not surprised, considering it's a popular book where I'm from" He explained, "Oh, where are you from? Is the place you're from the reasoning for the wings?" Solis saw the girl eyeing up the wings, and had to block off any thoughts she may have, "No, you can not touch the wings", "Aw..." She pouted sadly,

"I'm from a place very, very far from here..." Solis knew the answer was very brief and didn't explain much, which is why the next bit of information would be key as a topic-changer, "As for the wings, that's because I'm actually not human- I'm a dragon" The boy watched Levy's jaw drop to the table, barely holding back a laughter, "WHAT!?" She yelled in disbelief, slamming the table as she leant over it to get a closer look of Solis, something she was regretting as her face grew redder than a tomato, causing her to sit back down and clear her throat, "A-Are you really?" She was expecting him to just say, "No, you fell for it" and laugh at her, but it appeared she had yet to understand Solis' extremely blunt and honest personality,

"Yessir~" He saluted with a toothy grin, "I don't really know how to prove it, so I can't exactly do that just yet, but I can assure you that I am" The boy said while reservedly crossing his arms

"I'm guessing that's another secret between us?" Levy asked, "It doesn't need to be, but if you'd like it to be then it can be" Solis replied, the girl thinking for a few seconds before un-shamefully admitting, "I like being the only one to know something that others don't, so let's keep it a secret!" She stated with a giddy laughter, the boy smiling as he looked at her before remembering a somewhat-tradition from Earth,

"In that case, let's make it a pinky promise" Solis said, holding out his pinky finger which caused Levy to look at it confusingly, "A 'Pinky Promise'? What's that?" She asked, but wasn't afraid to do it as she held her pinky out in a similar manner, "It's something important where I'm from, and it's basically a way of saying 'I will never break this promise, and if I do, I'll be sent to the deepest depths of hell to suffer'" He announced with a straight face, Levy's face looking slightly horrified at the meaning which caused him to laugh, "I'm just kidding, kind of..." He then wrapped his pinky around hers,

"But it's really important that you don't break a pinky promise, otherwise the loss of trust will be something that can never be regained" Levy, slightly reluctantly, wrapped her finger around Solis' and sealed the promise, "Oh~! Is this like the greeting where we shook hands? Is that also something important where you're from?" She asked, now full of curiosity about Solis' homeland

"It's not really important, but it's a nice, formal greeting when meeting someone for the first time" He began to smile, thinking about the corruption he could pull off on the Fairy Tail World, "Would you like to learn a greeting for someone that you're familiar with?" Levy enthusiastically nodded her head, "Oh, wait! Take these, sensei!" Levy saluted, handing Solis her glasses which he adorned, causing the girl to chortle as they, frankly, looked ridiculous on him,

"This greeting, which can also be used as a 'goodbye', is what we call 'dapping someone up'" Levy, following the lesson, slowly nodded her head with unprecedented determination on her face, "Raise your hand for me, any hand, and open it" Levy raised her right hand and opened it, "Now, imagine we're seeing each other for the first time today when I dap you up" Solis took a step back and got into character, closing his eyes and then re-opening them, "Yooo! Levy, wassup!" He swung his right arm back and clapped Levy's right hand with his before closing her fingertips with his, moving her arm up and down once before pulling back, "..." Levy's mouth dropped as she looked at her stinging hand, "That's a greeting where you're from...?" She questioned, blowing her red hand

"Yep, there's also another variation where you don't seal the dap - where I closed your fingertips - and practically high-five. Close your right hand just a little, like your holding a big cup, but keep your thumb up still" She followed his movements, and watched as Solis swung his arm once more and connected with her hand, causing a loud clap to echo through the library, "Woahhh~ That was cool!" Levy jumped up in excitement and held her hand up once more, "Again!"

[What the fuck are you doing to this girl...?] Celeste questioned, but Solis could hear her laughing as much as she tried to tell him off, 'There's nothing wrong with what I'm doing - plus, it's funny and you know it, CC' He laughed as he watched Levy trying to get a clean dap on her own, but failing quite miserably, [Yes yes... Just make sure no one misunderstands the clapping sounds]

Having lost track of time ages ago, Solis and Levy hadn't realised that a few hours had passed since the start of the tour as the two were now sat beside each other at the library table and focused on the Transformation book in front of them, Solis wearing the glasses which allowed him to read at 18x his normal speed, "These glasses are seriously useful, where'd you get them?" He asked, fascinated by the magical device

"If you want a pair, I can give you one, I have quite a lot in my room" Levy informed, the boy thanking her for her kindness, "How much?" He questioned, the girl shaking her head, "On the house, I know you're not the best financially" Solis gripped his chest and hissed, "Ahss~ That one stings... you didn't have to remind me of my poor boy struggles"

"It's fine, you can make some money once you start your E-Rank missions" Levy mocked as she made an 'OK' sign with her hand, sticking her tongue out cutely to rub in his future struggles in his face, "Do I have to...?" Solis groaned, planting his head on the table, "Yes, you do, we all did" She replied

"You sure you don't want to join me?" He asked, the smile on his face twitching slightly as he could tell her answer was going to be, "100% Positive, the answer is a definite no", She answered, forming an X with her arms whilst shaking her head side to side,

"Why you gotta be so ru~de... don't you know I'm human too~?" He sung with fake tears in her eyes, referencing a song from Earth which caused Levy to look at him with dead eyes, "Sorry for being 'so' rude, Mr. Dragon Boy" She giggled, patting the boy's back a few times before reeling her arm back for a slap with evidently more force than before,

"Apology denied" Solis flipped her off, falling backwards off the chair while looking at her with his tongue stuck out of his mouth, skilfully rolling onto his feet as he avoided the attack from the feisty girl, "You're too slow~" He mocked, stretching his body as it was quite stiff after sitting down for so long, "LEVYYYY!" The two heard the familiar voices of Jet and Droy crying out with a mixture of anger and worry, "Uh oh... how long have we been here?" She questioned worriedly, Solis awaiting an answer, [3 Hours, 46 Minutes, and 9 seconds], "Close to 4 hours, I think" He replied,

"We should get going"

Shortly after, the two arrived back in the massive hall of the guild where they saw many broken furniture and a majority of the guild slumped on the floor, exhausted from all the fighting today, "LEVY!" Jet and Droy jumped towards the girl in joy, Solis' hand on her back which stopped her from falling backwards as the two boys hugged her from either side, "Come on, guys, you're acting like I was gone for years..." Levy chuckled awkwardly, her teammates expressing their concerns for her long departure

Eventually, they separated from the girl which allowed her to look at Solis who blatantly ignored the two guys, silently judging them and their high levels of weirdness and clinginess for the girl, "I'll leave you to it... see ya' later, Levy" The two nodded and smiled, having prepared for this moment: The two raised their right hands and smoothly dapped each other up, ending the seal with the addition of a quick fist bump, "See you tomorrow, Solis!"

"..." Jet and Droy looked at each other in bewilderment, then at Solis, then at Levy, "What the hell was that?!"

"Hey Mira, we have a problem - well, I do..." With a tired sigh, Solis rested an arm on the table and spoke to the lively Barmaid, "What is it, Solis?" She questioned while wiping the dirty mugs and glasses used by the guild members throughout the day

"I've got 0 Jewels to my name, and no place to stay... what do I do?" He announced, Mira's eyes widening a little in surprise, "Did you not bring any money with you to town?" Solis shook his head, "Clothes?" And again, "Food...?" And again, "Absolutely anything?"

He shook his head once more, "Nope... honestly, I don't know how I survived 3 weeks in the forest without anything"

"Eh?" Mira had almost dropped the glass she was cleaning, but caught herself in time, "What did you eat? Did you wash? What about sleep? Does that mean your clothes are 3 weeks old... how do you not smell?!" She bombarded a whole load of questions out of worry, almost like a concerned mother which felt quite nice for an orphan like Solis,

"Well, I kinda just ate whatever I could find and seemed edible... there was also the occasional bear that I killed and ate the meat of... As for sleep, I don't need much of that considering I haven't sleep at all in the past week, or two, I dunno how long it's been... Luckily there was a clean pond, so I just took my clothes off and jumped in there to wash myself off. And my clothes, to be honest, I don't know how they're clean" He shrugged, "Must be magic" And joked

"This isn't the time to be laughing, you need proper food, sleep... everything!" The barmaid stopped what she was doing and came out of the bar, dragging Solis up the stairs to the second floor which held not only the S-Class Quests, but also a spare room which, kind of like the basement, was more of a storage room than anything, except it had everything someone needed such as a bathroom, a closet of clothes (He assumed), etc.

The white-haired woman opened the closet and took out a bunch of clothes, throwing it at the boy which he noticed was a little oversized on him just from looking at it, "Take a shower first, then get dressed" She then rushed over to the bed and began to clean it and lay it out, "Once you're changed, you can stay here for a few nights until you've properly settled into the town..." Once she was done, she wiped the sweat on her forehead before turning to Solis with a gleaming smile, "Unfortunately the Guild Master was extremely busy today so you were unable to meet him, but he should be here tomorrow... sleep well and see you tomorrow, Solis"

With that, she left abruptly after giving him a kind smile and wave, leaving a bewildered Solis standing in the middle of the room holding his new set of clothing, wondering what just happened, "...Well damn"
