The creepy Night.

Chapter 9: The Forgettable Truth .

Chapter 9:

The rain hammered against the window as Subey sat at the small wooden table, her hands trembling over a pile of old newspaper clippings. Caroline stood behind her, silent but watchful. The dim light cast shadows across the room, flickering over the faded ink of a headline that sent a chill down Subey's spine.

"Young Girl in Coma After Tragic Bridge Accident – Family Declares Her Dead."

A name stood out. Mia.

Her stomach tightened. The enemy they had been chasing wasn't just a shadow from the past.

She was family.

Ten Years Ago…

Laughter echoed through the narrow streets as two sisters ran, their feet splashing through puddles. Mia, the younger of the two, had always been the fearless one—wild, unpredictable. Subey, the responsible one, was always trying to rein her in. But Mia never listened.

That night was no different.

They had sneaked out past midnight to meet john, Mia's childhood friend. It was supposed to be just another adventure, one of many.

But then came the blinding headlights. The screech of tires. The deafening crash.

Mia had shoved Subey away at the last second—saving her life but sealing her own fate. She remembered the impact, the force of her body being thrown over the bridge railing. The icy water swallowing her whole.

And then—darkness.

When she woke, it wasn't in a hospital, surrounded by family. It was in a cold, sterile room, an IV in her arm, her body screaming in pain. A stranger sat beside her—a man with sharp eyes and a cruel smile.

"Your family thinks you're dead."

She didn't believe him at first. But days turned to weeks. No one came. No familiar faces. No search parties.

Subey had left the city. Their father had declared her gone. John had disappeared.

Mia had been erased.

And in that emptiness, the pain twisted into something darker.

Hate.

She had been forgotten. But now, she would return.

And this time, she would make them remember.

Here john is an mia's child hood friend who has unbreakable bond as love.
