THE CONSIGLIERE AWAKENING: Ultimate villain system

Chapter 7: MORE SOULS

The man breathed really hard as he let go of the store owner. He had a huge gaping hole in his chest and it was beginning to move. It was as if little threads had formed and they were struggling to connect to each other. So, he started walking out of the store and for some reason, he stopped and glared at the security camera like he could tell someone would see him.

Quickly, he got into the truck and just as he was about to start the car, the system suddenly came up. How badly he had been waiting on it as he needed to know whether or not he had met the criteria to know his name.

[One power point given for one soul received. Inventory updated. Please tap right to see what items are available]

Very quickly, he tapped on the Inventory and then clicked on his name.

[Name incomplete. Send more souls to get it updated]

It was really frustrating that he banged his hands against the steering wheel. Just how many more would he have to send to hell before he could get his name out? The more he thought about it, the more it felt like he was being tricked. Nevertheless, he had a short time and that meant that he would be obliging the system no matter what it would take.

However, he knew how unsafe it would be for him to remain here and started driving away. He wanted to get to a place where he could rest for the time being and started driving off. There had to be something for him and then as he went further, he found that there was this alley with some people sleeping there.

He parked his car and was watching them. His entire body was healed at this point but he was still stained with blood on his clothes. Just then, a young woman approached his car and then smiled at him.

"Are you cold on this lonely night?" She asked him.

"Where can I find a place to sleep?" He asked her.

"There is a local motel for a bud like you. If you don't mind, I could show you and all you have to do is pay me." She said to him,

"Okay." He responded and then she opened the door.

Her eyes fell on the blood on his clothes and she was horrified. She stood there, frozen for a moment.

"Are you getting in or not?" He asked her, forcing her back to reality.

"Know what, I think I'll call it a night now." She said as she slammed the door and started walking away briskly.

He did not go after her. Instead, he drove away before she would say anything to others and they noticed him. As he moved, he started thinking of how he would get the system up to at least show him the map where he could find the nearest motel.

He still had yet to figure this out as he kept driving when he saw a big sign.

MOTEL DEL CRUZ 2KM

It was at an intersection and there was an arrow pointing in a direction. This was good enough and he started driving that way. Two kilometres afterwards and he found himself at a local motel. It was in the middle of a lonely road. Probably aimed at getting customers from the drivers who were along the road.

He drove the truck inside and then got off as he grabbed the bag containing the things he had taken from the farmer's house including the money. He now started walking inside and there was a big counter which was empty. There was also an object that he recognised as a bell which he pressed down on and it rang out.

There was no answer and he had to do it again in hopes that someone would show up when suddenly, a door opened and a woman with her messy hair, reeking of sweat and the pleasures she was undergoing came out looking really pissed.

She did not even care to look at him.

"Watchu want?" She demanded, clearly in a hurry to get back to what she was doing.

"Somewhere to sleep." He responded.

"Would cost you fifty a night." She said to him, barely looking at him.

He reached into his bag and then handed her three notes.

"This enough?" He demanded.

"How long are you staying for?" She demanded.

"I don't know. As long as it covers." He responded.

"Whatever." She said and then went and grabbed him a key with the room number attached.

"Don't call for me tonight. I'll have breakfast sent to you in the morning. Just go that way." She said as she slammed the key on the counter in front of him, gesturing to the flight of stairs.

Before he would even get the opportunity to ask him anything, she left. Without taking down any details or the sorts.

Well, it was up to him to figure his way out and he started looking to the side he had been directed to and headed upstairs. As he passed through rooms, he could hear sounds of moaning. This was clearly the very streets of sin that he found himself in.

Eventually, he found his room and unlocked it. Finally, a place to rest.

The room had this weird musky scent about it and there was a bed with a side table. He dropped his bag on the bed and started taking off his clothes. Next, he went straight into the bathroom and showered. For the first time since he arrived on earth, he was finally getting to feel almost totally human.

As for his clothes that were stained and torn, he packed them into a ball that he tossed into the waste bin in the room. Now, instead of getting dressed, he went and he laid down on the bed naked.

He wanted to see what else he could spool from his memory and the moment he shut his eyes, he was in torment. The pain, and the anguish was literally causing him to shake all over in really large spasms.

But then, he saw something, he realised that the old man he had been speaking to had led him somewhere and was introducing some other kid to him. Neither of their faces could he see.

"This is my son, Pedro." The old man said.

"Pedro Picasso." He muttered, as he felt so much pain on his body.

Yet, he did not want to give up, he wanted to figure out what memories he had been missing when suddenly, he felt a familiar pull and he was in Lucifer's castle. The latter was seated on his throne.

"Ah, finally, I get to speak with you." Lucifer said to him.

"Is this real?" He asked him, not wanting to have returned because he believed he still had time.

"Yes." Lucifer responded.

"I thought I had time?" He asked.

"You still do but we can communicate like this and I wanted to know what you find earth like." Lucifer asked him.

"I don't know, really. People are weird and I feel like a fool with no purpose." He responded.

"Because you're not feeding the source. You have a task to complete and I believe to know your name, you should make it happen." The cunny demon said to him.

"I have sent souls. I'm trying my best but it's not enough." He said.

"You sent souls, aye. Only three. If you really want things to speed up for you, you should send more. And remember, time is of an essence to you." Lucifer responded.

"But, how do I know what souls to send? What if they are innocent?" He asked him.

Lucifer broke into a laugh.

"Innocent? Trust me, there are no innocents on earth. They all deserve to die. I have equipped you with something really great. And if you must unlock all the many possibilities of it helping you, you have to complete your first official task. Consider it your test for an upgrade." Lucifer responded.

So that was it. He should have completed the soul thing a while ago. The man was beginning to understand how everything worked.

"Okay but what about my memories? I still can't seem to remember much." He said, with hopes that he would be assisted at least once.

"You alone can figure it out. You see, your memories will come in time when you start functioning and for now, you should wake up." Lucifer said.

And before he could protest, his eyes opened and he was on the bed. It was morning already and someone was knocking on his door.

It would seem that the time difference between the underworld and the human world was great.

He now had a renewed mission on his mind as he went to open the door. There was a young woman at his door when he opened.

"Could you take the key chain out, I need to come in and drop your food." She said to him,

Finally, a soul at his doorstep.
