Tensura: The First Reason

Chapter 12: Chapter 12

Chapter 12.

Disclaimer: We own nothing. This is but our own interpretation.

The world fades with a drop as white as the world becomes a memory of the past, leaving the present momentarily behind.

A few moments ago before the earth tore asunder.

[Notice: Transformation into a Demon Lord, harvest festival has begun.]

[Body reconstruction has begun, transforming into a new species.]

[Confirmed. Race: Transforming into "True Vampire"… successful.]

True Vampire.

A race that would even be higher than the original High Blood. To say they were simply a true vampire would be an underestimation.

One could say the True Vampire race would have been called Overlord is no doubt correct.

This was a race that equaled the blessing of Veldanava, to Luminous title of True Ancestor.

'So, I've gotten an equal blessing as a race instead? Neat. Or perhaps, because they saw this coming, they had let this happen?'

No. Certainly not.

Dawn, currently, was seated on a rubble that towered up. This was the destroyed castle of Jazil's empire.

Crimson Cardinal Fall.

Of course, having spent years on his own research, he had developed his own signature magic.

But its effect was more than he expected, more so with full power even.

As such, the whole ground had been scorched and reduced to nothing; the rubble was from the structure of the empire that collapsed against each other.

Perhaps, he had gone a little too far.

'But eh, it's not my concern; I have taken care of father's assignment, but I didn't expect such a reward.'

Even with the Harvest Festival inducing drowsiness in him, he was able to resist it with pure willpower and nothing else.

In such a moment, without a guard of the sorts, he couldn't exactly just pass out like that.

What's more, the feeling of his powers increasing by the moment brought a different kind of feeling for him.

Joy? Happiness? Thrill?

He wouldn't know.

[All parameters have been greatly increased.]

And yet, deep into his subconsciousness, he could hear those words.

[Notice: Since individual Dawn already is a spiritual lifeform, individual Dawn will be transformed into a subspecies of a spiritual lifeform: Digital Lifeform.]

[New Intrinsic Skills: Infinite Regeneration, Universal Shapeshift, Material Creation, Demon Lord's Haki.]

[New Resistance Skills: Abnormal Condition Resistance, Holy-Demonic Attack Resistance, Natural Effects Nullification, Physical Attack Resistance, Pain Resistance, Spiritual Attack Nullification, acquisition successful.]

[Notice: Further evolution shall be attempted.]

[Notice: Unique Skill: [Merciless] has been acquired successfully.]

[Attempting to evolve Unique Skill: [Conqueror.]]

[Integrating Unique Skill: [Merciless] into Unique Skill: [Conqueror]… successful.]

[Notice: Unique Skill: [Conqueror] has evolved into Ultimate Skill: [Conquest Lord Radhan.]

[This completes the evolution.]

The evolution went by like a flash, and by the time it consolidated, Dawn had drastically changed.

His once-silver hair had now been dyed black. His eyes were now more crimson than before, even more ominous as he tilted his head.

"[Merciless], if I wasn't mistaken, I got it back then."

Of course, back then was referencing a few minutes ago when he went ham with his attacks against Jazil's Empire.

And now it seemed to be integrated into something called an [Ultimate Skill].

"From my understanding. Ultimate Skill is the Ultimate Power… And to casually have that just after an ascension."

Dawn shrugged as his lips curled up.

But a more matter on hand to settle are the bodies around. Naturally, this could be taken care of using magic.

However, a certain magic came to mind. One he had once seen in Twilight's record.

"What was the spell called again? Ah yes, Demon Summoning."

As the words left his mouth, a white magic circle appeared on the ground.

The torn, destroyed, and macabre body of those that had met their end at the hands of Dawn coalesced into a blood-red mist that swirled in the circle.

"Oh? It seems like I've been summoned by a rather interesting person. Not that I mind that."

As the mist began to form, a humanoid figure could be made out. More so, the figure that hadn't fully coalesced began speaking.

"But to be called into the world of the living like this, I wasn't prepared. But nevertheless, I'm glad."

Those words belonged to a female. White-haired. With an exceedingly beautiful appearance in every sense of the word.

"So. Are you the one who summoned me?"

She looked at Dawn and beheld his figure. And with a smile, she had said that.

"Seems like I did, though I subconsciously tried to recreate the spell I had seen as with father; I didn't expect it to work. Well, well, I also didn't expect someone as strong as you to be called."

Dawn shook his head.

The white primordial eyes widened at his words.

Just that… He "subconsciously tried" to summon her, and he succeeded?

For some reason, those words didn't want to sit with her.

But certainly for the white primordial. Upon taking a closer look at her summoner, she could tell with just a glance.

Supreme. In every sense of the word. The magicules he was emitting… anyone under a certain rank would disintegrate on the spot, no doubt.

From the looks, it looked like he had just finished an evolutionary process.

That would also tell why his magicules were left running wild like that. And from their surroundings…

"I see," she whispered to herself. "Ahn~ How magnificent."

The white primordial said such to herself with a nod. She couldn't help but be happy with her summoner.

A presence alone that can bend others to his will. Moreover, a strength that probably wouldn't lose to her peers.

She was satisfied with this.

Dawn, on the other hand, simply raised his eyes as he looked at her, "By the way, what is your name?"

"Oh? I have none; will you do the honours of naming me?"

The white primordial's eyes widened slightly as she smiled, giving him a curtsey as she awaited his words.

Dawn, having thought of it for a moment, gave up; certainly, for him, he wasn't good at coming up with names.

Twilight was far better at naming things, with his endless magical research and detailed naming conventions—like ADAM's full name: Artificial Non-Divine Autonomous Material-Lifeform.

Certainly, only someone like Twilight was suitable for the job.

"Hence… Blanc, or Blank, how's that?"

Much to the White Primordial, or now Blanc's expectation, the woman went pale with dread.

"Th-that's—"

She staggered on her feet in disbelief as if she had just been hit by a train moving at high speeds.

'She must like it, huh?'

Dawn more or less had thought along those lines, misunderstanding her reactions; however, the woman was currently having the greatest existential crisis of her life.

Her colour was Blanc, and now she had been named Blanc.

Was the Great Holy Spirit of Darkness playing pranks on her, or was Veldanava mocking her? She couldn't believe it.

"Hahahaha…" She let out a weak laugh.

However, she had already been named. And it had already been engraved into her. There was no more escape.

The woman wanted to groan; however, it was pointless. Rather, the blessings that came with the naming offset the name she had been given.

"Whoa, around 50% of my magicules."

Blanc said as she now knelt down on one knee with her right hand to the left side of her chest.

"Although I'd have preferred a more fitting name, I suppose this will do. Blanc, at your service, my lord."

Originally, Dawn never intended to really summon someone, but he did get himself a beautiful woman in the end; that counts as something.

Besides, "now that I think about it, over north, I sensed somebody strong; we both went through this thing called Harvest Festival or something."

Dawn tilted his head, his hands on his chin as he said that.

But for Blanc, hearing that, her eyes widened slightly; she had her hands filled with Dawn to have only noticed it now.

"Huh? Wait, Rogue, not only him, but Bleu and Vert too?"

"Are they Primordials like you? More so, three of them have appeared?"

"Y-yes. It seems so."

Blanc rubbed her forehead, but certainly, she was also interested. What's more, his aura seemed particularly strong over there.

If he truly went through this Harvest Festival thing and really became a Demon Lord…

Blanc looked over at Dawn. 'He's probably the only one who could stand up against Rogue.'

She had thought so. And before she could say a word.

"Well then, what are you waiting for?" Dawn pointed north, standing up from the rubble he sat.

"Seems like something fun is going on over there…."

Dawn had said so, and that pretty much sums everything up that happened up till this point.

This much, both Twilight and Veldanava came to a conclusion not before another nuclear magic resounded in the background with an earth-shattering–

BOOM!

The world pans over to the newly awakened Demon Lord, a grin plastered on their faces as they grinned it out.

"Not bad. I admit it, you're strong."

The red-haired Demon Lord said that as he waved off the pressure coming from the black-haired Demon Lord.

With a wave of his hand, the red-haired Demon Lord had sent another of his signature magic: Napalm Burst, but again, Dawn dodged it.

"Aren't you a bit of a one-trick phoney?"

Dawn had taunted him as another earth shattering explosion erupted miles away, however, this was of no concern for them.

Closing in on the red-haired, Dawn corked his fist backwards before unleashing it.

This was followed by a gust of wind that hit the red-haired, but he had simply blocked it.

"Fine then, I was planning on enjoying this a little longer, but it seems all must come to an end, no? Don't you agree, my fellow Demon Lord?"

"Heh, now we're talking."

Both had dashed against each other and began to unleash brutal clashes against each other.

Guy had followed with an overhead chop with crimson-enhanced magicules; Dawn, who was around a point one second slower, had no choice but to block, crossing his hands in a crossed motion overhead, empowered by magicules.

Of course, even though they weren't on the ground, the ground beneath them trembled as they clashed.

"You aren't all talk, it seems."

"I haven't even begun to go all out yet."

At their respective taunts, both backed away for a moment, unleashing what looks to be their everything.

They were duking it out with fist and magic without skills currently, and their battle alone from their pure fist to fist battle was rendering the land like so.

RUMBLE!

The sky darkened as winds howled under the pressure they were releasing. This was no doubt the starting of an apocalypse to come.

"Bring it!"

"Come!"

They both dashed at each other, both enveloped in a crimson aura with manic grins on their faces.

As what would look like an impending class that would be followed by a sky-rendering howl—

"Both of you!"

"Dawn, stop!"

Interrupting their clash were Veldanava and Twilight, respectively.

Veldanava had appeared in front of Guy, putting a barrier in front of the red-haired Demon Lord that negated his magicules-imbued fist.

Twilight, however, negated Dawn's magicules-imbued fist with the same amount of impact as frequency.

Hence, the sky-rendering howl that would have echoed across the world that day vanished… just like that.
